What a wonderful local find! My daughter had acrylic nails done by Tammy on Friday after school. What a great experience this was for my daughter as Tammy is very nice and social. The salon is set up nicely and was nice and warm on a chilly day. We will definitely return for other services.

Was about to get a groupon/​living social deal because I was looking for new salons in this area. Even reading the bad reviews, I still wasn’t turned off from getting the groupon. Then I saw the owner, Tammy’s, replies to the reviews (you can easily read them below) and I’m so appalled by the fact that this woman is in an industry that has to deal with people, that I would never even try going there and dealing with her. NVM.

Okay so here’s the deal. I asked for a black to purple ombré they agreed to do it for $ 160, okay cool. I made it extremely clear that I wanted black to purple ombré, in text, and through actual words, even with pictures. They told me it would be $ 160 for EVERYTHING, bleach, dye, olaplex and the service. $ 160 isn’t too high but it’s not dirt cheap either. So I go in and it takes about 4 hours for the whole thing to be over. The stylist shows me my hair. It’s nowhere near what I asked for. It literally looks like grown out roots, nothing close to ombré, not in my wildest dreams would this be an ombré but I felt so bad that she spent close to 4 hours working on my hair that I just said «oh yeah, that’s great» and walked out.
I got home and here’s where the trouble began. I took a look in my bathroom mirror and noticed spots in my hair that were orange, like they hadn’t been covered with purple. So I headed back to the salon and they fixed it for more, but not before trying to convince me that I was imagining it. The owner did give me shampoo and conditioner to make up for the trip though, so that’s not too bad.
So the next day I went to school and people were like «oh wow, nice color but is it supposed to look like that?»
Me: what do you mean?
Them: well it looks like your hair grew out or something.
Me: So I guess I wasn’t wrong about my first thoughts…
So I contacted the owner and after about an hour of back and forth, she reluctantly agreed to fix it to the dark to purple ombré I requested for «no charge». She initially tried to convince me that I ASKED for it to look this way. Uh lol no. Who in their right mind would ask for their hair to look like this? She agreed to fix it «no charge» But not before telling me that purple with black won’t look good. Wtf? My natural hair color is black??? So what do you mean???
Now when I tried to scheduled an appointment she’s telling me she wants $ 37.
After more back and forth she tells me she now wants $ 20.
When someone says «no charge» I expect to walk in and leave with the same amount of money I walked in with. Not to be told that there will be a charge for this and that.
Forget it, I’ll just do it myself at home and save myself the arguing.
Oh btw, they’ll ask you to pay cash, or tell you that the card machine is broken. Probably so they don’t have to give refunds. If you truly must go to this salon, pay with a card because this place will not give you your money back EVER.
I can’t wait for her to try and twist the ordeal in her rebuttal comment :)

Well I walked in here one day, hoping to see what this place is all about. No one greeted me, then finally someone got up and asked how they could help me. I asked if they had anything with their prices on it. They said no. No price list. No website. Times phone calls went unanswered. Times phone calls were not returned. Times they were closed during their posted business hours with no notice. Couldn’t accept credit/​debit cards. Child running around. Extremely poor quality manicures and pedicures Inexperienced staff (she didn’t know how to work the pedicure machine, didn’t know the steps of a pedicure, didn’t know how to shape nails to oval). My list could be extensive.
Biggest word of caution: IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND BUSINESS PROFESSIONALISM, don’t even bother stepping foot in here. I have never once recommended this salon to anyone, nor will I ever. I was even going to help her and do business with her through my company, but it was like working with a child.

Got my hair colored, shampoo, conditioning treatment and a no chip mani for a great price. Was very happy with the results. My hair wasnt damaged like most other places leave my hair.

Polished salon and spa is great! I highly recommend it ! I drive from Chicago to see tammy. She’s amazing at nails and I won’t have anyone else touch them! I’m always a last minute person with my appointments, yup very annoying, but tammy always seems to fit me in asap! I love it! 5 stars for sure ! :) clean and friendly environment

I now (not 20 mins later) give this review as an update to the owner Tammy. As I had just finished leaving my 5 star review of her place and my services I find a message in my FB in box… from the owner Tammy being SO rude to me. She harasses me about my visit and then about my review??? Who does this??? I reminded her how great her staff was this it seems she is the issue here and in previous posts as well… if you can go there and dodge her you may be safe… but then again don’t let her know your FB bc she will get you there if she can if you have upset her!!! NAIL GOERS BEWARE!!!

I would give 0 stars. They misunderstood what I wanted on my hair and gave me jet black instead of blonde. They don’t communicate and explain what they understood to do (owner and young girl). The shop is worn down and takes over two hours to color then another two hours to recolor. Then they still charge you!!! Please beware do not waste your time. I have contacted owner for full refund and she refuses. Everyone be cautious as this woman will harass you for posting reviews about her that are honest. She fried my hair and I spent over 300 fixing my hair with someone experienced. This lady has many many bad reviews only good reviews are from her family stay away feel free to contact me

I’ve been coming here for a while now, and absolutely love it! I get the no chip done (either by Tammy or Francesca-who’s only there on Saturdays) every time, and I’ve never had a problem. It always looks fantastic and lasts forever! Did I mention it’s only $ 25 and they will remove it for free if you got it done there?! You can’t beat that! They also have more no chip color options than any other salon I’ve been to… and I’ve been to a lot between living in the city and suburbs. The staff is very friendly, the place is always very clean, and they always offer you coffee or water (sometimes they even have yummy treats like donuts). A special shout out to the owner, Tammy! I called to schedule a last minute no chip one day because I was going on a last minute trip the next day, but they were closed due to a class/​training going on. She returned my call and let me come in at 7 PM (after I got out off work), even though they were closed. I will forever be thankful for that because I really needed my nails done. This is definitely my go-​to place. I’ll be trying their pedicures next time I go in. I can’t wait!

I’ve been going to this salon for no-​chip mani’s & pedi’s for almost a year, about time for a review. They’ve done a great job every time! Yesterday I decided to try Izzie for a cut, this was a spur of the moment decision, and the cut was fantastic. After I was done getting styled, I decided I needed an even bigger change, so Izzie colored my hair. I went from dirty blond, my natural color, to dark brown… an amazing transformation. And Izzie styled my hair, again! The salon is casual and you are treated like family. Tammy, Izzie, and Maggie keep up the good work! After a year of living in the burbs, I’ve finally found my go to salon.

I absolutely love this place! I have been coming here for almost 6 months. I first found the salon on Groupon, which I bought cause of the great deal, and now I am hooked. Every time I go it’s like family and they treat their customers great, from the coffee and cookies to the service.
Can’t wait to see my ladies in 2 weeks!!! Thank you for such a wonderful place to come and get my no chip mani and pedi!!!

Came to polished salon for a no chip which i was recommended by my friend to see Tammy. I am so glad that i went because i have found my new home for nail services. I no longer haveto search on groupon to try new nail salons .
I was welcomed and offered coffee and water and cookies as soon asi walked in. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to accommodate You at all times. Great service. I went in today for a no chip Mani and a spa pedicure. Price was 47 $ for both it was a great deal and service was excellent. I was greeted soon as I walked in the door, also asked if I wanted coffee or water. I felt like I had been there many times before. atmosphere is clean and modern. Employees are very kind, I was lucky enough to have the owner do my nails Tammy, she was wonderful and very helpful with picking out colors. I even got a little design on my nails. I will defiantly be back to see her every 2 weeks, so glad I finally found my new nail salon, they also do hair.

This is a Great salon! They do everything from No chip, Mani pedi, eye lashes extensions, –hair styling and up dos! **Close to my house and convenient with people that know what they’re doing!

Polished is such a cute place everything is neat and the workers are just so friendly and accommodating. Th work that they do is perfect and they make sure it gets done right .
If you need to get your nails done either mani or pedi this is the place to be and you could even get you hair done while your at it its just a great place to go to. Defiantly will be here often I highly recommend it .My nails look so beautiful and flawless thanks to Tammy.

I am a great supporter of women in business but if you want success you need to provide excellent services, this salon does not. I would recommend that the staff gets
proper training and become license, Tammie you are very nice and you learned the trade by yourself, you have invested money and have good potential but there is room for improvement, surround yourself but well trained people, don’t put a hairdresser in the pedicure chair, worse pedicure ever! and my legs are full of the salt scrub that was not rinsed, nails were rough and polished all over my toes and cuticles, no chip mani was better but also polish all over cuticles, no hand massage and some nails were squared and others rounded. I won’t comeback and feel it is my duty to place this report and inform others. Fix it before you loose it. I wasted my time and money but I am not angry and wish you well

I came here for a no chip manicure and pedicure. The staff is very friendly and I was greeted the moment I walked in. I felt welcome. Heather is amazing and Tammy I believe is the owner is so super duper nice and very pleasant to talk to. I love my nails. I really like the color. I came here on a groupon and they offered me the same deal to come back. Another star goes to them!
Wine, coffee and water was offered. Amazing! I enjoyed every bit of my stay here!
I will be back here again and with my daughter. I think I found my home for my nail services! These two are so much fun. I will definitely bring my girlfriends here. Such an amazing experience!

BIG SCAMMERS! Bought a groupon with a friend and was excited to treat myself to a mani and pedi. Per instructions on the groupon I called the place to schedule an appointment, instructions said to let them know about groupon when booking, so I did. Day of appointment my friend and I got there a few minutes early so we started looking at the colors. While picking out what we wanted one of the girls says to us ‘just so you know our credit card machine seems to be down today’, I respond that it wouldn’t affect us as we are using a Groupon and intend to pay in cash for the tip. The same lady responds that I did not let her know that both of us were using a Groupon and that one of the girls there doesn’t take it so we wouldn’t be able to redeem them today. Without boring you this conversation went on back and forth for a bit and the lady pretty much called me a liar by the time we decided to leave. She said we can return the groupon later but pay cash now. I don’t know what kind of scam this business is trying to run with the groupons but I didn’t want any part of it.
Problems with this scenario:
1. If credit card machine wasn’t working, wouldn’t you call your booked clients to let them know so they can bring cash?
2. Why sell a groupon that you will later tell people to return?
3. Calling customers liars.
4. Not even offering any other alternatives, such as redeeming both groupons herself and paying the other nail tech in cash since SHE was the one who made the scheduling error.
5. Not stipulating on the groupon nor on the phone that not every technician redeems the advertised groupon.
6. Telling customers that they can leave and return the groupon.
Will never come here again, I would much rather give my money to a business that actually wants me as a client.
