I found beautiful chandelier at galleria of light in Naperville, delayed getting it bc still in remodeling process, recently moved to Elk Grove did not see lit an bros until recently. Went on litmann website and saw same chandelier $ 80 less at litmann. I called this Saturday (10/31/15)morning to see if had it in stock and on display (wanted my husband to see it in person, had not seen it w me at galleria), the girl on phone was very rude, impatient and sounded like a teen out of valley high, sounded like I was inconvenience her asking her to inquire if they had it in stock and on display. I even had the code numbers etc as I was looking at product info that moment. What did I do? I HUNG UP.
I want to save $ 80 and save time driving at least 25 miles when litmann is 5 mins from me and galleria of light is all the way in Naperville, but I will PAY MORE and drive further for POLITE PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. I only give 2 stars bc at least they were cheaper. Our new house needs new lighting everywhere, however I will not be spending it at litmann.

We came across Littman Bros. when we bought our house. We just randomly chose a few lighting places to browse. Littman Bros. had a great huge selection and wonderful customer service. So we made all our purchases there. If we needed different sizes or modifications, they figured it out and took care of it.
We have since done 2 construction projects and haven’t even considered ordering elsewhere. In fact, I have found things online and called Littman Bros. with the info. Bamm, they’d order it and even price match if there was a difference in price.
Second construction project, I just called them and told them our esthetic in the house and they suggested a look. I went online and saw what they suggested. It was perfect!
Because they keep all our purchases on file, I have easily called to get an accessory (separate remote).
This place is customer service oriented & competitively priced.

I recently wrote a negative review for Littman Brothers. After that review appeared I received a call from Lisa who worked with my wife and myself. She explained that they were told by the manufacturer that the product would ship and passed this information to us while we sat there. It was the manufacturer who dropped the ball and did not notify Littman Brothers that they were out of stock. I assume that since we had requested that the merchandise be dropped shipped to me Littman Brothers were not aware that the manufacturer could not keep their original commitment. Lisa indicated that if I spoke to her regarding the problem they would have been able to work something out with me. And in all honesty I should have taken that additional step to resolve this problem.
I want to say to anyone who has read my previous review that after speaking further with Lisa, I can now say without qualifications that the problems were solved and I would be more than happy to shop again at Littman Brothers in the future.

Just got done purchasing a ceiling fan from Dave at Littman Bros. what a wonderful, knowledgeable, easy going, straight shooter he was. a delight to deal with and this coming from a retired HONEST CAR DEALER to boot. hats off to Big D. now go ask for a raise young man. Patrick

While their prices were very competitive, I was disappointed with the lack of updates while I waited for my lighting order to arrive. The order took 3 months to fill. The manufacturer was unable to supply the track lighting kit which I understand is not the fault of Littman Bros. But the only status updates I received were when I called. I would have preferred that Littman Bros called me to provide updates.
I am pleased with the lighting and would do business with Littman Bros again but would inquire about expected wait times for special orders.

Wow, they can really do it all! After years of using Littman Bros Lighting, I would NEVER THINK OF USING ANYONE ELSE! EVER! I’m not sure how long they’ve been around but my parents have used them for decades. I’ve seen them in action in both of our north shore homes growing up and in their new downtown penthouse. The lighting totally transformed, modified, and brought a whole new sleek look to their crib while keeping the classic Gold Coast charm. After seeing the tremendous change they did to my parents dated, delapated and early 1900’s fixtures. I immediately contacted Littman Bros for a lighting make over for my brand new vanilla box of a condo. Daniel is who helped upon my consultation. She immediately got on the same page as I. She was young and hip, which was a relief to me considering my parents age. I can NOT even express to you the elegant and modern change they did to my apartment. I seriously think I should submit my condo to modern home magazine. I am so In love and impressed with the service, detail, punctuality, and all the help with the design! Thank you to EVERYONE who helped me! My place looks so dope! I will for sure be recommending you guys to ALL of my clients!

Littman Bros lighting provides the best selection in the Chicagoland. I have purchased multiple fixtures & lamps and have totally satisfied with the recommendations and delivery. They are service oriented, competitively priced and a pleasure to work with. Whether you need many items or just a few Littman Bros is the place to go. They even suggest appropriate light bulbs depending on your lighting needs. Littman Bros is my go to place.

2 stars is for the price and inconsistent customer service.
When we built our new house a few years ago I had them bid all of the lighting. They were $ 1200 more than the lowest bid for the same identical lights. We ended up going with Galleria in Naperville. Gorgeous showroom and endless options, great customer service and reasonable prices. There is nothing in this place that can’t be found somewhere else cheaper. My advice is shop around and get the best deal. My experiences in the actual store have been mixed – from no customer service to good customer service.

Highly disappointed. Your selection may be five stars but the customer service we received was one star.
Went in looking for a specific lighting package however the sales lady chose to try and talk us into another lighting package instead. Based upon how we were dressed (jeans and tshirt) we were talked to like we couldn’t afford to shop there.
Needless to say, we will be spending our money elsewhere and can’t recommend this place for a shopping experience for the average person.

Order $ 3000+ worth of lighting – was told that it would take 6 weeks to receive it. It’s been 12 weeks and still have not received one chandelier. If I didn’t call them I doubt I’d ever hear from them! Very disappointed in the service. I leave messages and my salesperson never returns them!

On the day I first ordered my two light fixtures from Littman, I fully expected that I would be writing a positive review here. The saleswoman who I dealt with (who I think told me that she is a manager — Michelle?) was extremely welcoming, even opening up a cabinet of toys for my two year old to play with in order to keep him busy while I shopped. And the selection in the store was great, if a bit overwhelming. However, that’s where my good experience ended.
I ended up ordering two light fixtures for my kitchen — one flush and one a chandelier. I showed pictures of my kitchen to the saleswoman (who is also allegedly a professional stager and designer) and she strongly insisted that I would be much better off with the larger six-​light chandelier for over my table rather than the smaller five-​light one (which looked about right sizing-​wise to me for both our kitchen and table, but which she said was better for a hallway or powder room). So, listening to her was my first mistake as the fixture ended up being gargantuan and way too big for my kitchen (despite me showing her pictures and giving her the dimensions), and now I have to move it to the dining room and probably move ‘that’ fixture into the kitchen while I figure out what to do. Additionally, the lights I purchased give off WAY too much light — it’s like the sun is directly inside the kitchen — something else that I would have expected a lighting expert to help me with when choosing lights for a space. So, strike one.
Then, my order took two months to fully come in versus the one week I was told. Yeah, two months is A LOT longer than one week. Strike two.
THEN, the flush light was wrong — it wasn’t what I ordered but no one bothered to tell me that the one I had ordered was discontinued. No one even hardly acknowledged me at all when I went to pick up the order — they just handed a paper to one of the guys to grab my order from the back and give it to me. When he was putting both fixtures into my car, I looked at the paper and saw that they had substituted one of the lights I ordered for another one — but no one told me this and the new light was very different and not something I would ever have ordered. Strike three.
I was able to re-​order a replacement with the help of another salesperson (Jen) as the first salesperson (Michelle) who had taken our order when we were there completely brushed me off when I asked for help on the wrong light fixture, saying rather snottily, «I don’t know anything about your order», when she was the one who took it initially. They were extremely busy and it looks to me like they don’t have enough help on Saturdays, but there was no need for the attitude — I’m a customer, remember? Strike four.
They also didn’t mention to me that the replacement fixture the warehouse substituted cost $ 80 less than what I paid for the discontinued one. They let me walk out the door not telling me, let alone addressing it. Strike five. Luckily, I noticed it when I realized they were giving me a replacement fixture I didn’t like.
Jen was apologetic about everything and helped me pick out (from a book) a replacement light fixture. Unfortunately, when it came to my refund, she kept adding it up incorrectly, making the refund less than it should be. She finally got it right after a few tries and me explaining again what happened. She was nice but was definitely rushing me to pick something — they were busy.
I asked that the replacement fixture please be sent to me since I live almost an hour away and had already waited several weeks for the order that was supposed to take one week. She agreed to have it sent to me and indicated I’d have it in about five days (I was there on a Saturday and she said it would ship from the warehouse on Tuesday, with me receiving it probably on Thursday). Needless to say, it did not arrive until two weeks later. Strike six.
The flush light that Jen helped me pick out is fine — no complaints. However, the chandelier that the first saleswoman sold me, besides being gargantuan, has one part of it (one of the six bases that hold the lights) that is very crooked and doesn’t seem to be fixable.
I honestly can’t be bothered with them again to even return it (they do store credit only) as it was such a hassle dealing with them the first time — I really can’t spend any more time on this.
I paid $ 600 for these two lights and they look no better than what I could have gotten for half the price at Lowe’s or Home Depot, in much less time and with much less hassle.
I am extremely disappointed with Littman, their quality of their products and some of their staff. I will not return and would recommend that anyone looking for lighting go elsewhere. That’s what I’ll be doing for the rest of the lighting in my house. Strike out, game over.

If you need lighting, this is the place to go! They have a STUNNING showroom with so many options!!! My husband and I went in on Saturday just before they were closing and we still received the BEST costumer service! They helped us pick out a gorgeous entry chandelier, bathroom vanity lighting, a mirror, and LED lighting for our cabinets. From start to finish, I give this place an A+++! Everyone was super friendly and knowledgable and the prices and selection are unbeatable!

I always find MORE than I can choose when I come into Littman. I’m surprised to read the comments of high prices… True, more expensive than Home Depot… But WAAAAY better selection and quality as well. If you want something special that will stand out in your home, go HERE. Lisa is great, I always have rec’d fabulous service.

I just received my refund from an online purchase at Littman Bros., through PayPal, for two lamps. The lamps were delivered promptly in great packaging, but just didn’t work for me as I had hoped.
The return process was respectfully managed by Jessica and Chelsea, of Littman Brothers Lighting, by email since I live near San Francisco.

Littman Bros is lovely. Aspirational. Expensive.
If I came upon a big bag of cash and was told to spend it at Littman Bros, I’d be delighted. Their chandeliers, modern lighting, fans and bit of furniture are all super cool. Be prepared for sticker shock AND a sore neck from looking up at all the shiny, glittering goodness. I popped in here to take a look around and possibly search for a modern but simple foyer light. Unfortunately, I think I’m better off hitting up Home Depot for said item, because the offerings at Littman Bros are much more complex.
I think I’m still far away (both in mind and age) from plunking down $ 5k on a (stunning) dining room fixture, but if I’m ever in the market for something super cool but higher end, I’ll come back to Littman Bros.

Stopped in to potentially get some lights for our kitchen remodeling project. Zero recognition by front desk upon entering (she quickly looked up and then went back to her computer). No customer service as we browsed the selection (we were walked-​around by several employees without acknowledgement of any kind). I guess they don’t need our business! We will be trying somewhere else…

My whole experience here was just downright frustrating.
At the end of December 2012, the main light (which happened to be a ceiling fan) in my kitchen stopped working. I was excited that I finally got to purchase a new fan, and one that wasn’t a piece of chintzy garbage. I decided to support a local business by going to Littman Bros. Lighting.
I ordered a Casablanca fan. Now, my husband thought that spending nearly $ 300 on a ceiling fan was ridiculous, but I convinced him that we were getting the Cadillac of fans.
Three weeks later, I still hadn’t received word about the fan. So I called them. They didn’t have an answer for me right away. The next day I receive a voicemail. It turns out that the fan I ordered was discontinued, and according to Littman, Casablanca had neglected to notify them before AND after the order was placed.
So, I ordered a different Casablanca fan. A more expensive one, but at the same price as the original one that ordered. I was told it would be about a week.
TWO weeks later, I call again. They still don’t have it. The guy calls Casablanca and is told that they’ll be shipping it the next day, from Tennessee, and that Littman should have it possibly Friday. But if not Friday, then Monday.
Now, at this point, I’ve been using sharp knives in a kitchen with inadequate lighting for well over a month. I told thim that I needed a light in my kitchen by Saturday, and that I needed a definite delivery date. He couldn’t provide it, so we agreed that I’d come in on Saturday and leave with something in my hands.
So, I come in on Saturday. The guy I talked to isn’t available, so I end up waiting for about 15 minutes, before finally asking for help from another associate. She ends up selling me a ceiling light that they have on display. At this point, I don’t really care WHAT I buy, as long as I can see in my kitchen again.
I get the light home, and the next day my husband begins to install it. Well… Littman didn’t give us the proper hardware, so the light ends up hanging an inch from the ceiling, rather than flush against it.
So I still don’t have any freaking light in my kitchen!
I took back the dumb light today, and got a full refund. Yet another associate asked if there was anything that he could do to make it right. Free installation, 40% off, etc. I said no. At this point, there is nothing that could possibly make me want to ever buy ANYTHING from them ever again.

I absolutely loved working with Littman! Their staff knew what they were talking about, completely helped me pick my dining room and pendants which I couldn’t be happier with! Were going back in a few weeks to pick out all our fans and I can’t wait to work with them again. Very reasonably priced and super friendly staff. Love this place!

Unfortunate experience. I placed an order for a pot rack and added some sconces to qualify for their free shipping. I then got an email a day later saying the pot rack was discontinued. Ok, no problem. I told them to cancel the order, I didn’t want the sconces without the pot rack. They decide to ship the sconces instead. Then they charge my card for the full order, even though they shipped just a part of it. That was just the beginning of the mess. They are a drop shipper and not a very organized one at that.

After too many years of living with the awful contractor bright brass fixtures in my house, It’s time for a change, and based on a recommendation from a friend, I stopped by Littman. Their selection is pretty bewildering, to the point where you can barely see the trees for the forest, if you know what I mean. With everything from modern to classic and in between, you can probably find what you want. The prices were… not crazy, but not cheap either. I don’t really know what stuff like this should cost, and while I didn’t buy any $ 11,000 chandeliers, I made it out with a couple replacement items without too much damage to the checkbook. Staff were helpful, pointing out a reasonable range of things to cut down on option overload. My one complaint is time — it definitely took about a month to get items in, when originally it was «1 – 2 weeks.» Not that it mattered, I wasn’t actively needing them.
Now I just have to resist going back to replace the rest of the awful lighting in my house.
