Where do I even start? I was recommended this place by a coworker who went through a successful Lasik procedure last year. I requested my free consultation and I was sold on the whole idea the moment I left the place. Everybody, and I mean everyone at the office is really kind and helpful. You’re greeted with a smile by everyone and they make you feel very welcome. Mario was the tech who performed my initial tests and he was great, such a funny guy (also good at his job). I met with Dr. Ubhi did my eye exams and consulted with me in detail about the procedure and types of laser treatments they offer. The best part is that they are genuinely honest with you. They will not lie to you if you are not a good candidate just to make a sale, nor would they sell you an expensive package if your eyes qualify for a cheaper one (which mine did). Dr. Aymond performed my surgery on Saturday ¹⁄₂₃ at 3pm, and Sunday morning when I woke up, I felt AMAZING. All the burning and pain (very little) was gone and I was able to watch TV, even cleaned my house. By Monday morning I was seeing great, was able to drive for a follow-​up where I found out I am seeing ²⁰⁄₂₀. There is a chance that this too will improve further. The whole experience was delightful.
If you’ve been thinking about Lasik, then I will say go to this place. Consultation is free so you’ve nothing to lose but a lot to gain. This will be one of the best investments you will ever make.

I got my Lasik done yesterday and have never been happier. Everyone in the office was SO nice and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable. I was SO nervous about getting the procedure done, but all the nurses and doctors made it so much easier on me. Dr. Aymond is SUCH a pro! My husband and I got lasik on the same day this past August at Lasikplus and could not be happier with the experience and results. First we met with Dr. Ubi who is very friendly and warm and informative for our initial exam. Then we came back for our surgery with Dr. Aymond who explained exactly what was going to happen beforehand which was comforting. The procedure itself was more nerve wracking than I thought, it was uncomfortable for part of it but over very quickly. Right away I could tell my vision was better even though everything was foggy at first. By the next day I could drive without glasses or contacts, everything was clear. I did experience dryness and discomfort for the first couple days which I was warned about. After that everything was golden. My eyes were extremely bad– contact prescription was +5. Now I have ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision and it is awesome!

My wife and I got lasik done in August. First off the results are amazing I can see like when I was a kid. The effects are almost immediate and the first day after is really special almost like a miracle haha. Staff is great procedure was very clean and short. Worth every penny.

I just got my eyes done there on Friday, and Saturday morning, everything is crisp and clear. Absolutely amazing. Was nervous at first, but turns out to be for nothing! The procedure itself took less than 10 minutes, and Dr. Aymond walks and talks you through the whole procedure. I even had to ask at the end — «That’s it? We’re done?» There is nothing to be nervous about, and there was absolutely no pain at all during the procedure. The only thing you feel is very slight pressure on the eye — that’s it. Nothing different than putting a contact in. The weirdest feeling is after the flap is created by the laser (which you cannot feel), it just makes everything blurry.
The entire LasikPlus staff at Schaumburg is great too. They know you’re nervous, and make you feel much better.
When you do it (and you’ll want to get it done), I recommend that you schedule it late in the day, if you can. Then, when you’re done, go straight to sleep through the whole night to avoid any potential «dry, scratching» minimal pain that can happen within the first 2 – 4 hours. You’ll get a couple of sleeping pills to help.
Forgot to mention — Dr. Ubhi (who does your pre-​operation check-​up, and post-​op check-​up) is great too.

The reviews of this place were spot on. I couldn’t be happier. Everything went smoothly and perfectly with the Lasik procedure I got less than a week ago. My eyes are healing so fast I’m not even using drops anymore. The staff and Dr. A were very friendly, kind, thorough in explaining everything and informative.
The procedure itself wasn’t horrible, just more uncomfortable than anythings. It’s so fast though it’s worth going through literally only minutes of discomfort. Don’t hesitate if you’re on the fence. You won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience start to finish. Initially I was a little worried about how the procedure would go. On the day of my appointment, I met with Dr. Ubhi first who took my eye readings and explained me the different procedure options suitable for me. He also called in Dr. Aymond, who was my surgeon, to help me understand the different procedures and help me make a better choice.
Before the procedure started, one of the nurses came in and explained the pre and post care routine and gave instructions on how to use different eye drops and other medications.
Then Dr. Aymond came in and took me into the operating room. He walked me through what was going on throughout the whole procedure which helped in keeping me focused and less stressed. Everything was over in 15 mins.
Great overall experience, amazing staff. Would highly recommend to others who are thinking about Lasik.

My eyes are my world. I run, bike, swim, sail, play, work, rest, and play again. Finding the single best location to trust my vision to was extremely important. Almost vital. It all started with a simple review and honest examination of my eyes and whether I would be a candidate for LASIK. Having met their staff, experienced their level of attention, and been given the options for payment — each ultimately the points that sealed the deal for me. Was I nervous? Crazy. Was it painful? Um, ya, it’s no picnic in those first few days. Was it one of the best decisions of my life? Without any doubt — YES! The doctor was absolutely the most qualified you’ll find.
Testing at near, or slightly better than ²⁰⁄₁₅ afterwords. I cannot properly describe my experience in words. I couldn’t even legally drive before hand as I was –3 right eye, –4.5 left for contact lenses. Night vision clarity took a few moths to fully return, but it did. I rarely if ever need eye drops and my eyes are subjected to a very active lifestyle.
When I see people post «I shouldn’t have waited so long». I know now exactly what they’re talking about. z

A great experience. Should have done years ago. My friend recommended lasikplus at Schaumburg and I would recommend to anyone as well. Great nurses, technicians and surgery doctor. Could see perfect next morning.
The surgery doctor was Dr. Allen from the Milwaukee location. He was so reassuring and soothing during the quick procedure. I followed all the directions on post op and had no issues or pain.
So happy! Highly recommend.

First, I want to say it’s kinda odd to give a Unilocal review for a medical procedure, but I digress. I got PRK done on my eyes several months ago after several of my friends got. During the initial appointment, they answered all my questions and gave me some time to think it over. I opted to take the plunge. The morning of my procedure, they talked me through all the details of what I’d feel and what each medication was for and when I’d need it. They answered all my questions while I was healing. I now see better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ so that’s pretty awesome. I’d definitely recommend getting corrective laser surgery done here.

One of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m writing this about 24 hours after my surgery and I’m seeing crystal clear. I’ve had none of the discomfort they said I could have post-​surgery.
The entire process from prep to post was fabulous and stress-​free. The nurses and doctors are so nice and they really try to create a calm environment. They even know me by my name as soon as I walk in.
During my surgery, doc Aymond talked me through each and every thing he was doing. Again, I felt no discomfort or pain! I was out of the surgery room in less than 10 minutes and then on my way home 15 mins after that.
I may pen an update later, but overall my experience has been awesome. I’m happy I was brave enough to take the leap!

I was very satisfied with ALL the staff at this location. Scheduling was easy. Evaluations done with ease. I was grateful for financing options. The outcome of my procedure was fantastic! I am very happy with my Lasik procedure.

I decided to take the plunge and do the ever so scary process of having my eyeballs lasered. LasikPlus is great. They were very friendly and attentive. The only issue I have has been getting on the phone directly with them instead of going through the main number, but they have given me the instructions now on how to do that, so I can for the next time.

I cannot stress enough how fantastic my experience with LasikPlus Vision Center was from the initial consulting to the actual lasik eye surgery itself was.
I’ve always had interest in getting lasik eye surgery for many years since I’ve had poor vision since I can last remember. I’ve had glasses since elementary school and contacts since middle school. My prescription was –5.75 for both eyes before I got my eye surgery.
Few of my friends had lasik eye surgery before and all of them said it was the best decision they ever made in their life. This was enough for me to schedule a consultation at LasikPlus Vision Center, which was FREE! I found out about LasikPlus through Unilocal and was thrilled to see lots of good reviews. I booked the consultation online and received a confirmation email. From there, everything was very professional and staff was friendly. I was thrilled to know that I was eligible for lasik eye surgery and was given specific instructions to follow if I wanted to undergo the surgery.
I went along and scheduled to have the surgery. The surgery itself was only 5 minutes at the most! Dr. Aymond was the surgeon and he made sure to keep me calm through the entire process. He talked through the entire process and time flew by fast. The process was painless as well! All I could feel was pressure on the eyes and it was all over.
Now I can see with excellent vision and I’m so happy that I had lasik eye surgery done at LasikPlus Vision Center!

I was the classic coke bottle thick glasses/​contact wearer for 40plus years. My husband had LASIK done by the king in 2012 and walked away with perfect vision.
I finally decided to go through with the procedure last august. I found the staff friendly and helpful and despite the sheer number of people going through, felt they cared about my procedure.
I had the procedure and woke up the next morning with vision that was clearly not ²⁰⁄₂₀. It turns out they did not calibrate the machines correctly and I got an under correction.
Dr Uhbi was disappointed that I did not get the proper correction and wrote me a script for glasses. He stated I had two options: wait two weeks for the laser center to send me a pair of glasses or they would give me $ 150 toward a pair if I wanted to purchase my own. I am sure anyone who has worn glasses knows that finding decent looking glasses is difficult for less than $ 200. With my eyesight I needed to wear them almost constantly and was told I could not wear contacts as my flaps neede to heal.
In February my eyes had healed sufficiently to have the procedure for the second time. By this time I had incurred costs for both regular glasses and prescription sunglasses (which I needed to be able to drive in the snow). I also ncurred an additional $ 65 in medication costs.
My frustration was that I summitted the bill for $ 350 to cover my expenses on top of the $ 3500 I laid out for the procedure. They will only reimburse me for $ 150 of it. I brought this up to dr Ubhi yesterday at my three week recheck and he completely ignored my comment.
While I have the desired eyesight now, it was not without the consternation of needling a second procedure and at additional personal expense to me.

This a review written by an M.D. (just to give perspective, given I work in the field of medicine on a daily basis, and see how various practices run in different hospital and clinic settings).

First off, I had terrible vision (key word: HAD), about –10 in both eyes. I am a very active person who enjoys weight lifting, hiking, swimming, running, target shooting, and always have been hampered by my poor vision, the need for glasses, or getting something caught in my contacts, etc. You get the point.

24 hours after my procedure, I experienced something I haven’t experienced since the 3^rd grade… clear vision after waking up from bed! In the span of a day, I’ve gone from wearing coke bottle glasses to basically having ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. I am forever grateful to the wonderful clinicians and staff at LasikPlus in Schaumburg for this Life Changing procedure.

Staff: the staff were very helpful from beginning to end. From greeting me with a friendly hello, helping me with the paperwork, taking care of the initial parts of the eye exams, explaining the billing process, making sure I took advantage of all my potential discounts, and helping me easily set up financing options and followup appointments and answering all my questions along the way.

Clinicians: Dr. Ubhi was the optometrist who performed my screening exam, and was very professional and thorough, with excellent bedside manner. He realized I had not been out of contacts long enough prior to my initial exam, and asked me to come back for another re-​check. (This actually was very reassuring, as it made me feel they wanted to genuinely make sure I was a good candidate, vs. just funneling people through without being thorough). He explained the various risks, benefits, etc., explained what made me an appropriate candidate for Lasik and what to expect on treatment day. Made sure I had all the prescriptions for eye drops prior to procedure day. And despite the fact his clinic day was packed, took the time to answer all my questions without making me feel rushed at all.

Dr. David King Aymond M.D. performed the actual LASIK procedure. He made sure to sit down with me and answer any last minute questions I may have had prior to the procedure. Walked me through how the procedure would go, step-​by-​step, and made sure to highlight certain parts of the procedure that tend to be more anxiety provoking than others and gave me tips on how to stay relaxed. The procedure itself went smoothly. At every point, I felt like I was in good hands, and he would make sure to check in frequently to see how I was doing (though it was a very brief procedure, literally about 38 seconds per eye!).

The staff are very thorough with their followup instructions, and give you a print out of a detailed guide of your eye-​drop regimen post-​op which is very handy.

All in all, a wonderful, life-​changing experience that is affordable, and worth every penny. My aunt came to LasikPlus and had the same results. If you are interested in Lasik, I would highly recommend getting evaluated for potential candidacy at LasikPlus in Schaumburg.
