Just keep in mind that you can always find a shop that will do the same job for cheaper. If it’s a matter of money than go that route, but if you want it done right and properly without feeling like you got the run around than pay for the quality service. I recommend this shop for your automotive needs, but I’m not sure they do body work.
Been coming here for awhile and they’re great. Jon (shop owner) is great with diagnosing any problem you might have on your car. Not a huge chain shop, so your car gets the attention it needs. Very truthful guys, I know cause I do automotive work myself as a hobby (only come here for fluid changes) and all their advice always checks out. Pay for quality service versus going to chain shops.

I’ve really only been writing reviews for local businesses that I feel I can support. This is one of them. Great service and very nice guys. In addition to my own truck, I’ve taken my girlfriends car (brakes and some suspension work) as well as my mother’s minivan (new muffler and a broken Sway bar).
This is one of the very, very few auto shops I’ve been to where I don’t feel like I am being given the run around or gotten any «sleezy» vibes. Jon (the owner, I believe) is a younger guy that’s super attentive and gives really good explanations as to what the issues are, what he will be doing to fix it, and the time/​cost. He seems to really enjoy what he does, and it is pretty obvious once you chat with him. I felt like a «regular» customer even during my first visit.
On more than one occasion, he has brought me in back to the shop to physically show me the issue on the car while writing up a repair estimate. This makes me feel much better about continuing on with a repair as I can see with my own eyes that a broken sway bar is just that.
I’ve never felt as though I am being up-​sold or pushed to complete anything that doesn’t need to be repaired, which is HUGE for me. I am not a «car guy» beyond just the basics, and I don’t like being led on, especially when high ticket items are involved.
When my girlfriend picked up her car, she also commented on the professionalism. These guys are definitely not your old school, greasy mechanics.
The waiting area isn’t huge, but it is nice, clean, and doesn’t smell like exhaust fumes or oil. They offer coffee and have a customer restroom (also very clean… Seriously, the only auto repair shop I’ve been to where this was the case). I believe they have a free courtesy car (I’ve not needed it, just saw it parked out in front of the building). There is some cool literature and «demo» parts out to look through while you’re waiting, and they provided me with a pretty detailed service schedule just for my truck.
I like to support local businesses whenever I can, and in this case, it definitely worked out in my favor. I’ve got a new go to auto repair shop, and I gladly recommend them if you looking for somewhere legit, priced well, and run by people that seem to really stand by their work.

if i could give this place more stars, I would! Had a hole in my right front tire, took it to GPR to get fixed. was out of there in 20 minutes. Best prices in all of schaumburg and both guys that work there are super friendly and know what they are doing!

I had my catalytic converter replaced at GPR automotive, best price and the best quality work in town, extremely friendly owner, I would definitely go back!

I went to gpr fall 2013 because my 05 Pontiac vibe was in desperate need for shocks and struts. The dealership was telling me it was going to be almost twice what I paid. My friend recommended gpr and I’m glad I went there. The staff was very helpful and explained everything I needed in a way that I could understand. My car was done quickly and I am very happy with the results. They did not try to up charge me on every little thing either, something I hated about the last repair shop I used. I have been back for a brake job and it was the same story, great work, great people, and great price. I will definitely be going back to them.
