Established in 2007.

I have been working on coin operated amusement devices since 1994, specializing in pinball machine repair. in 2007, I started Gavin’s Game Service and now do game repair full time.

Back in the late 80’s I used to frequent arcades and grew a fascination with pinball machines. As I played them more I observed that they require a great amount of maintenance to keep running in tip top shape. As I found very few operators were willing to put the time & effort into repair of these games, I decided to do something about it. When I turned 18 I got a job in an arcade while simultaneously attended ITT Technical Institute in the study of Electronics & engineering technology. I have worked for companies restoring machines, along with distributors providing service and restoration of machines for resale.

Gavin is truly an expert at this line of work. I had a busted Space Invaders Deluxe machine that I was getting frustrated with; Gavin came in and managed to replace the entire set of archaic monitor electronics (which was in a complete state of disarray with cut wires and other issues), and with the tools he had on hand was able to put in new lights, add new coin mechanisms, and neatly re-​wire everything inside. Highly recommended to anyone in the Chicago area with arcade issues — there’s probably not many other arcade repair specialists like this out there.

If you need coin-​op service (particularly pinball), Gavin REALLY knows his stuff. I have a black knight that was practically dead and he revived it. As long as I had him here, I had him fix issues in 2 other pins. Very reasonable for how quickly he detects issues (and he will test it afterwards), and he has lots of spare parts in his van.
