History

Established in 2014.

I have an online shop on Etsy under Design Talented One and I sell silk sari ribbon and special dyed ribbons there for the last 6 years. I have built that website now to full steam ahead and have now decided it is time to bring something new and different to Schaumburg Illinois. My gift is my passion to create and I want to share that with others and help them grow outside of the box thinking by having classes. It is a good place to come to either purchase or learn something new and wonderful. Having a heart and mind that is so full of inspiration to create makes people smile and I believe that is what we are all here for. I am a true supporter of small business and artists. You shall walk out of my shop with a new start to become a Design Talented One.

Meet the Business Owner

LaShell W.

Business Owner

I am 56 years young and have had this extreme burning of passion in my heart and mind to create. I started at age 15 ripping curtains, sheets, any type of fabric and recycling them into something new to wear or admire. I was raise in a little town called Ada in Wisconsin by a mother who did everything herself and did all things handmade. She gave me my first sewing machine i worked with a treadle foot. My father played guitar and painted, he made me my first pair of knitting needles out of coat hangers. At that time we could not afford yarns and mother taught me to pull sweaters apart. I would babysit for .50 cents a hour and save my money to buy more sweaters and fabric. I was taught an honest, hard working life. I was taught love, to give it away freely, to give not to receive but to feel joy and fullness in my heart.
