This place was formally called Alterations by Angela. However, she passed away not long ago and her husband, who still runs this shop, had his daughter come in for a while and do some work there. She is WONDERFUL!!! I’ve had my wedding dress, several work clothes and other stuff shortened and taken in here. Fast forward about 3 months, I go back to get my bridesmaid’s dress taken in but his daughter is no longer working there. I’m so sad because she did an excellent job. He had another lady working here. UGH! My frustrations begin at this point. I dropped the dress off, one week later I pick it up and go home without trying it on. By chance my best friend comes over and I try the dress on for her a few days later. Only to my surprise the zipper doesn’t work! The front part looks like Madonna’s outfit when she had cones on and I have cleavage galore! Not a look I was going for. I called immediately and left a message. It was a Sunday night. They were closed on Monday so I had to wait until Tuesday to take this dress in. I go in as soon as they open but the seamstress is not in… she’ll be there in 30 minutes. I come back 1 hour later and she’s STILL not there. I practically spent the entire day there when I could have been elsewhere. When she finally arrived I explained to her the problems and she became so defensive. Ummm, customer is telling you what needs to be done… don’t complain. She said she would fix it and I should come back in an hour. Come back and it’s worst than when we started. So I decided to sit right there until she got it right. That would be a sad thing because it was never done right. I should have gone with my gut instinct which was to go elsewhere but I thought she couldn’t be that bad(considering she was complaining from the 1st time I walked in the door). I spent $ 25 for nothing. Not worth my drive there, money or frustration. In the process of waiting for her to alter this dress she tried to make small talk. She asked what I did for a living(and for some reason people think that that’s an opening for them to tell me about their criminal histories). She began to tell me about her son and his criminal activities along with his infidelities. Really? REALLY? Some people…
