Recently, they’ve made renovations to the seating areas which made it feel a little more private. Food always arrives quickly(before I can finish eating their bread rolls) and wraps are pretty decently sized. Parking is easy if you go around the back. Metro Diner will always be one of my favorite places to eat.

Good, but not great. It presents and bills as an upscale diner, yet they have a very average diner menu and service. If it’s convenient, I go, but I certainly do not go out of my way to eat here.

This use to be my go to diner. I really enjoyed their breakfast and brunch options. I no longer frequent this diner, mainly because of the wait staff, but its a solid place.

I’ll start with a positive — the food here is actually really good. If you want a good breakfast, this is a decent place. I have eaten here a few times now, but I have to write this review after a certain incident this morning. It was a Sunday at around 10:00, so it was decently busy. An older man(maybe 75 or 80) came in with a walker and said he was meeting someone. The waiter put him in a small booth and the man asked if he could sit in a larger booth because of his bad leg. Now I KNOW it’s not good to take up a large booth when you could be expecting more people, but this was an elderly man with a bad leg! And they said no! It put a very bad taste in my mouth, and I do not plan on returning.

Love this place. Good food, fast service, and very friendly staff. My experience is exclusively doing take out — typically for lunch — and it’s always been a great experience. The food is great for what it is, and I highly recommend the Chipotle, Gouda, and Aloha wraps. Taking orders over the phone, they typically get everything right and accurately predict pickup times(usually around 10 – 15 minutes). Parking is on the street outside the restaurant, which can sometimes be a little challenging. But it’s right near the train station, and a very easy walk from town. Easy to spot from the Metro-North, it’s the big«Metro» deli sign on the east side of the tracks. Nice clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Only downside is not being able to get a proper salad as a side on the wraps. It comes with fries(and they’re delicious), but if you’re looking for something a little healthier, the best they’ll do is putting some romaine lettuce and chopped tomato in place of the fries. Still, the value is excellent and the quality of the ingredients is good, so that’s not a huge knock against them.

Food was alright, some are definitely overpriced. Waitresd n servers have this attitude and service is horribly slow. The trout fish tasted like the fish was old. The ruben sandwich was not bad. Been there a few times, mainly because it just happened to be nearby n opened early.

The food here is good. We’ve been here three times and all times have been pleased with the food. Our issue here is the service. The first two times it was slow, unorganized. This time(Friday morning) our server Lorenzo was flat out rude. Twice he walked away from the table while we were talking. He wasn’t just rude to us, we watched him be rude to the nice older gentleman who works the cash register.

Good Food, Fast Service, Friendly Staff. Generous portions. Funny to see people complaining about the prices — in westchester/greater NYC area, they aren’t as cheap as upstate but certainly on par with any other diner in the area. The salads are huge with ample portions of the meat of choice. Also, really funny to see people give bad Unilocal reviews to pizza from a diner… I mean seriously people? there’s 200 items on the menu and you choose pizza? that’s on you, not them.

Went for dinner on a Friday night. I had the fried chicken platter which was a half chicken with fries. Ok for $ 10.95 and paying me for the sit down as I could get better for less, but it is Scarsdale. My wife had the Cobb Salad which was big, fresh and not bad for $ 12.50. The burger and eggs with bacon were ok, nothing special. + prices in Scarsdale are high so this was OK + a bread bakery was provided for free, although I do get suspicious sometimes that they are recycling these baskets which I heard one time is not good food practice, and they had a little plate of lentils and beans for free — quality was OK, which for some of this stuff feels like they are not using fresh ingredients? — stated away from their $ 20+ options! ? Given the variety around I probably would not come back for a while/ever.

We just moved to the area and wanted a good diner breakfast so we went to metro. Our waiters attitude was terrible. He definitely was not having a good day and possibly hated working at this place. He didn’t listen to us when we asked for something and brought out the wrong stuff two different times. The food wasn’t bad. They do charge you extra for real Maple syrup which I think is insane for a diner to do. Actually, I don’t think any restaurants should serve anything but real maple syrup when the only other option is high fructose corn syrup in a packet that they can’t even label as maple syrup. We ended up paying about $ 10 extra just for syrup for our pancakes and waffles. It was a bad first experience and I do not feel the need to chance it again so I will not be going back. The prices are according to the territory, Scarsdale, so not cheap at all.

This place has such a huge selection to choose from. Once you order, they kind of just leave you alone for the rest of your time there. Not as attentive as I’d like, but it is a diner afterall. Nothing I’ve tried so far really stands out. The prices are a bit high, but isn’t unreasonable. I thoroughly enjoyed their salad with salmon. The salmon was cooked to perfection! It was a generously huge portion too!

This was a good place. The service was excellent. We had pancakes, eggs and tuna fish, all nicely prepared. The place was very clean too.

A reliable and straightforward diner in a town accustomed to dining establishments chasing the latest trend. Stick to the basics and you won’t be disappointed. That said, the prices do reflect the location.

Lots of options for our(demanding) family. We like all the salads, soups, and sandwiches. The chocolate cake is decadent and worth ordering! Always fast and friendly service, including for delivery!

Very good, for a diner. If you want something fancy, go somewhere fancy. This is not that kind of place. However, its as good of a diner as I’ve ever been to. Prices are a little on the high side, but its clean, has a good diverse menu, and quick, efficient service. I like to meet my husband here with my child for dinner when he gets off the train from work. Its a relaxed atmospehere.

People this restaurant is as good as it gets when it comes to Greek diners and I had this caveat in mind when I levied my four star rating on Scarsdale Metro Restaurant(SMR). Now there are theme specific restaurants(Art Deco/‘50s diner joints) masquerading as diners in White Plains and Stamford for example, but SMR doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t. SMR is a restaurant that provides diner food at its most refined evolution. The staff is friendly. The salads are fresh. The burgers are fantastic and are actually served with the temperature you request(rare, medium rare, etc.). The shrimp salad is the absolute best I’ve had – and I’ve tried quite a few. And, the joint is clean! What else would you want besides paying a reasonable prices for the quality you receive?(SMR delivers on this front too). So if you want something good to eat with your family and can’t decide where to go, Scarsdale Metro Restaurant’s typical-of-diners expanded menu is the place for you. Or, if you want some good food served fast you stumbled upon on the right place. But don’t take this fat Greek’s word for it, try it for yourself.

Was denied a booth seat by the window to admire a gentle, late winter snow flurry over my espresso while reading about good times ahead for the Knicks which is beyond annoying, especially when I got off to an early start and nobody was there except grumpy management that are strict enforcers of this bullshit rule like management is bracing for a Hipster weekend brunch rush in Scarsdale, NY of all places. Overpriced for what it is and you have to butter your own toast which is the one thing I expect a diner to do for me besides not busting my balls when I ask for a booth by myself. Bacon is solid but not a reason to start arranging important sit-downs here like Ray Liotta and Dinero in Goodfellas. Greeks Dinners with attitude doesn’t sit well with me like my little Greek landlord admonishing me for hanging out on the roof of my old apartment building once every six months. Waiters were nice but even they were pushy and houndish. How did the Greeks ever get such a good personality rap, seems underserved and this diner reflects that. Should’ve had a longer writing session there. The place was devoid of any chill, old school, welcoming aurora so basically a failure as far as Greek Dinners are concerned, off the list if you ask me.

Metro is probably the best diner I’ve been to. It is nice and clean inside, and the service is great. The menu is enormous but everything I’ve tried there has been good. The portions are rather large too. They have a very large selection of salads, and the ones I’ve tried have all been tasty. I am a big fan of the waldorf salad.

I hate this diner. I went there once 2 years ago and I wasn’t impressed, and probably wouldn’t have gone back considering there are lots of other diners in the area that I do like, but I was with people who wanted to go and I’m not difficult. I got a veggieburger and it was so freezer burned that it was practically inedible. The prices are a little steep too.
