Bird Jungle

Went here for the first time and loved it! I’ve never seen so many birds in one place, and ALL friendly. There was even this huge blue macaw with the biggest beak I’ve ever seen that was a huuuuge cuddle bug. So sweet. It is also LOUD in there because of all the parrots so be prepared. I love that they let people interact with and hold the birds. It’s such a good way for them to get accustomed to people. They have MANY babies, and handfed.
The only suggestion I would make to them is to make people use hand sanitizer before touching the birds, just so the birds don’t get sick. I wish I lived close, I would go often… The prices are a little more than I’ve seen from. say private breeders but it makes sense because they do have rent to pay to keep the store, and food to buy for the birds, as well as hire staff to feed them, etc. I do wish the staff were more talkative, and informative because when I asked questions they didn’t say much. Either way, great bird store. They also do DNA testing for $ 50.

I left this place feeling sick to my stomach. A significant number of birds are visibly ill and display signs of severe anxiety (self-​plucking). That being said, there are many that seem to be healthy and doing ok (particularly the smaller, domestic birds like lovebirds and finches) but I just felt disgusting after seeing beautiful tropical birds in such distress.

I purchased my budgie on Sunday Oct 11^th. He’s been sick from the day I brought I him home, I called bird jungle and they offered me a credit or to pick out another bird, I told them I didn’t want another bird that I would like my bird treated, they told me they would treat my bird but that I could not have him back. I asked if i brought the bird to be treated to my vet if they would reimburse me SOME of the money and their answer was no. I understand the policy they have but I couldn’t understand if they treated my bird why I couldn’t have him back and when I asked the answer I got was we don’t give them back if we treat them, hmmm strange. My bird was not the only bird to come out of there sick, unfortunately the other budgie that was purchased the same day has passed away last night and he was under the care of a veterinarian. I’m usually reluctant to give bad reviews as my mom always taught me if you have nothing nice to say don’t say anything at all BUT in this case I would like anyone interested in buying a bird from this place be aware that their budgies are sick and possibly other birds and they are selling them. Thankfully I got my budgie to the vet in time and he is responding great to antibiotics and is getting better everyday. I didn’t think Id be in the vet 6 days after purchasing my bird and knowing this business has been around for 30 years you would think they’d be able to spot out a sick bird, remove it from the cage with other birds and quarantine them while being treated. And im not talking about a little cold, I am talking about a very contagious disease.

This place is my 2^nd home. I got my first baby here when I was 5 yrs old, a cuddle and lovable dusky conure who was our sweet little angel for 22 years. I recently got a green cheek conure here and would never buy from anywhere else. They truly care about their birds and know everything about each one of them. Definitely come here for a happy and healthy companion.

Wow, this place is nuts! There’s talking birds, birds trying to grab at you as you walk by, and huge birds in all colors flapping their wings outside their cages, I took one of my kids here to peruse the little fellas and she was speechless, total shock and awe. We didn’t wind up getting one, but would definitely put them on the top of the list if we do get one. Safe to say, this is probably THE go to stop for your bird needs in the area.

BirdJungle I been going there since I was a little kid, I know the owner and the staff for a very long time! I been buying food, toys, and my four birds at BirdJungle! They are the best and I highly recommend buying a bird at birdJungle then buying the birds at petco, PetSmart, or pet goods! I love them

Purchased an orange winged parrot this morning and was amazed at the great price. I was really thankful for the staff that were not only helpful and extremely knowledgeable but patient. Would recommend to anyone whom is interested in purchasing a winged friend.

Bird Jungle is the best. We got a hand-​fed baby parakeet here years ago and Jellybean is our happy, faithful friend. This bird loves people, and says its name. We love to go to the store just for fun. Highly recommended.

This place has the friendliest and well cared for birds!!! We brought our sweet lovable baby Conure home last week. Victoria in the store was very knowledgeable and friendly… The entire staff are bird friendly… Was worth the trip to NY from Northern New Jersey.

I don’t have a bird, but hope to get one one day when we have more space. That being said, love this place. I have taken my kids here twice. They have no problem with us just walking around and looking and everyone is friendly. The birds seem very well taken care of and so tame the cages are all open! When I get a bird, I will definitely be coming here.

Couple of things I have to admit before you read this review.
1. I don’t own a bird.
2. I don’t want to own a bird.
That being said, I LOVE THIS PLACE! It’s clean and the staff is friendly. They seem to acknowledge the fact that some people like to come and walk around, checking out the birds and playing with them.
I enjoyed coming here and next time I’m in the area, I will visit again.

Adopted a cockatiel from this store, and I did not know how friendly and affectionate a bird could be. This has to be a sign that they really take care to provide well socialized birds. The whole place is a bit crammed as they just have a small store space, but they seem to manage incredibly well and very cleanly so. The birds are so well socialized that most cages are OPEN. You can pet/​play with the birds! I will update as I continue to do business with them, and I’m expecting good things in the future…

This place is one of the best and cleanest bird shops around! We have been to a few bird shops and not impressed but this bird shop has our attention. We have been buying our babies for the past 2 years and they are the best babies in the world. They are hand tamed and weaned when we purchase them. I would not trust anyone else when purchasing a bird. We have a conure family, dusky headed conure, blue crown conure, and a yellow sided green cheek in the family. We can not wait to have home our newest addition a finsch conure. We love our babies. I highly recommend Bird Jungle for any bird purchases. They are very friendly and knowledge staff members. They take their time with you and help you choose the right bird for your lifestyle.
