Scappoose Liquor Store

For a small town liquor store operating in a state where one small government board sets a limit on what can be sold, the Scappoose Liquor Store consistently maintains a very respectable selection of spirits. Even such exotic potables as absinthe can be purchased here. The staff is very friendly and will even help to order in special requests (so long as the spirit requested is available in the official Oregon Liquor Control Commission warehouse).

It’s a shoppe for spirits in Oregon, that means prices are highly regulated. The controlling factor is service, which I’ve found to be friendly— convivial, even. Those ladies know their liquor, fa’ sho!
Last I heard, the same guy who owns the Wigwam also owns this joint. Not a bad one-​two punch for a small-​town business person!
The one star off is for the early close time. Come on, even the store in Milwaukie is open till 1900 hours! You can’t say there isn’t an ongoing demand for the stuff– why, just on the other side of store from Wigwam, is the Fellowship Inn. I’m sure they’re one of your larger ongoing client accounts as well, to say nothing of the frequent, very thirsty *ahem!* motorists on Hwy 30, motor-​scooting on down the line, eager to get home and share a toast with their loved one (s)…

I crossed hwy 30 hand in hand with my sister and her boyfriend,
No slip and falling on the icy road…
Still a couple more days to go…
