This place is great for fish sandwiches. Sit at the bar for quicker service. I’ve been here many times. It is not fancy, it is more like your average American restaurant and bar. You enter up the enclosed handicap ramp into the booth area. There are approximately nine booths with a table snuck in. Opposite the booths to your right is a dry erase board with specials for the day.(This is what I like most about this place.) Continuing straight ahead through the restaurant is the bar you’ll have to walk around to get to the larger round tables for bigger groups. This part of the restaurant isn’t separated for the bar like the booths, no worries no smoking here. There are a few TVs on the walls in the bar so take that into consideration when picking your area. Their specials don’t have jacked up prices, they’re just varying dishes features. Some as simple as grilled cheese and tomato soup. I almost always get the special. When I’m not getting the special I usually get a fish sandwich which is always a winner for me. I never remember if I like breaded or battered… So I basically pick one at random, I tend to think its battered… I think. Enough rambling.

I had such high hopes for this restaurant. Sadly we were disappointed the entire time. My husband, our toddler and I decided to check this place out for lunch today. The homey feel and grandmother smell at arrival was off putting but a small item on my check list. The menu was as sad as I’ve ever seen. 99% of the appetizers are fried. There was a huge list. We got the fried provolone which was delivered promptly to us but lack any flavor at all. My grilled chicken sandwich was clearly a frozen piece of chicken that was microwaved. It was probably the worse thing I’ve ever had. My husband burger was over cooked and sad. The worst part is they pump tv sounds throughout the place. So we were listening to the family feud the entire time. What a disappointment. Never again.

Simple casual restaurant/bar. Had a good burger and fries. Much better and cheaper than a chain or fast food restaurant. This place has a unique character and a homey feel.

Cheap cheap cheap but what you’d expect from a small rural restaurant. The fish sandwich came on a bun with nothing on it. The chicken tenders may have been refried and the fries were just ok. Nothing special. Go here because its one of the only places around open on Monday night!

One of my favorite Butler Co. restaurants and have THE best wings I’ve eaten since the Kozy Korner wings before it closed circa 2001. Kept very clean and always has plenty of comfort foods on special this is a really nice hang out with friends or low key date place!

We attended the wine event at Penn’s Colony and were looking for someplace to eat in the area. Zacherls looked interesting(and shares the last name of a friend) so we thought we’d give it a try. For a diner type restaurant, the menu is large(with everything from appetizers, salads, sandwiches and complete meals), prices are affordable and the portions are large. They also have some unique items like cheese sticks that have hot sauce added for a nice kick. Food was tasty, service was great and it didn’t break the bank. I recommend it if you are in the area!

Hard to go wrong here. GLC… Good, Lots and Cheap. Two people, dinner and a pitcher of beer of under 25 bucks. Whats not to like? Food is good and the beer is cold.
