History

Established in 2011.

The Salt Table is not a franchise. The idea originated about three years ago, when Carol and Dave dined at a restaurant in Florida,” says Dave Legasse, co-founder. «That restaurant, SALT, offered multiple choices of flavored salts with each serving. We fell in love with salt! After that, we developed a few initial seasonings using flavored salts and other spices which we presented to our friends and family as gifts. They loved them and encouraged us to make them available to the public!»

Two years of research and tasting went into sourcing just the right products and packaging, until they had a full range of tastes they enjoyed. The Salt Table offers countless options to enhance simple, easy to cook foods, from black truffle salt to habanera sugar to delicious dips and pre-blended seasonings. In addition the couple added wonderful teas and vanillas to The Salt Table collection.

Business Owner

Savannah Magazine wrote: These two flavor fanatics have made it their mission to make sure Savannahians never have to endure a dull meal. «We love to eat!» the dynamic duo behind The Salt Table exclaims when we ask how they got into the seasoning business. Partners in life and business, Carol Sellers and David Legasse aptly discovered their new careers over a sumptuous Valentine dinner. After following their taste buds to discover the best in exotic salts, seasonings, teas, dips and other fine flavors from around the world, they opened their Barnard Street culinary boutique this year to rave reviews. And yes, they also love to offer tastings.
