An amazing assistant, Laura Hyatt, has been invaluable in helping him to grow his business. Since then Don’s team now has grown to five members with Don as the leader. The team performs as one, with each individual specializing in one activity. Where Don used to perform all agent activities, he now has a team with each person exceeding in their specific area. The Don Callahan Team performs as one exceedingly efficient and successful agent. Proof comes in community recognition. Don was voted «Voted Best Real Estate Agent» by Connect Savannah publication in 2005, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013. He is also a long term member of the Distinguished Sales Society. History

Established in 1998.

The process of purchasing my first home and all that it entailed quickly made me aware that real estate was «in my blood,» and in 1998, I dove in with both feet and have been a player on the local scene ever since. I have been a top producing agent since I began working in real estate. I was voted «Best Real Estate Agent» by Connect Savannah and have been a long-​term member of the Distinguished Sales Society.

In 2008 I received national recognition by being selected as one of «The Ten Most Dependable Real Estate Professionals of the Eastern United States» by Goldline Research. Perhaps the most noteworthy award I have received in my career, it was published in the December 22, 2008 issue of Forbes Magazine.

It is not awards and accolades that continue to propel me in this industry though. It is the personal interactions with people that continue to drive me. I am thrilled every time I have the opportunity to meet someone new or rekindle a friendship through my profession.

Don Callahan moved to Savannah in 1997 with his life partner, Mark Conway. They found Savannah and its diverse, ethnically mixed neighborhoods to be a perfect fit. They were also stunned by the physical beauty of the town. They also found the town to be very gay– friendly and tolerant. Over the years they have created a vast network of friends who cover the proverbial rainbow of preferences, opinions and lifestyles.

Don became a licensed real estate agent in 1998 after having recognized a passion for all aspects of real estate– the property, the details, the negotiations and most of all, the people. Together, he and Mark formed Callamark, Inc. which has rehabilitated more than two dozen properties throughout Savannah and Tybee Island.
