Read the reviews and was not let down. Nothing fancy just good boiled or fried seafood.

Nothing fancy, excellent food, great service. Definitely unique. The only thing I didn’t care for was being provided paper plates and plastic utensils with crab legs??? That just doesn’t make much sense. You are given a steel cracker, but not a metal fork or seafood fork, just a plastic fork. But the favors and seasonings were excellent! FYI– the name has been changed to The Juicy Seafood.

Wow! The food here is amazing! If you love a variety of seafood then this place is a must try for you! The restaurant is located in a strip mall but it was very open inside and the décor was unique. Our server was polite and helpful and provided us with the market prices for the day before ordering. We ordered the king crab legs and the large seafood platter which consisted of clams, shrimp, oysters, mussels, crawfish, snow crab legs, corn and potatoes which are then seasoned to your liking. We ordered the cajun and garlic butter seasoning in mild which is perfect for someone who enjoys some spice while not having it become too overwhelming and hot. Before dinner arrived we received a bib and gloves and while I am not one that usually enjoys getting messy while I eat, I was looking forward to enjoying my first seafood boil. Finally… the two bags of seafood arrived, piping hot and ready to be unwrapped. Eating was a mess but it was sooo good and a lot of fun! The food was cooked perfectly, seasoned nicely and everything was delicious! I hate to write anything negative after having a wonderful meal… I would just like to mention that the service was on the slower side. While the servers were all very nice and helpful many times we were left waiting for additional napkins, sauces, and drinks. However, I wouldn’t allow that to deter you from trying this restaurant. I would recommend The Boiling Seafood and I would definitely return when visiting Savannah again.

Outstanding snow crab legs!!! I got the 1lb with Bang Bang Sauce with mild spiciness. I will definitely be a regular. Only reason for the 4 stars is that they only have plastic utensils and not enough of the tools to crack crabs. Other than that I thought it was great :)

Great food, but the worst service I have ever gotten at a restaurant in my life. Never go there unless you want to wait 2 hours for your food, no refills unless you get up and get them yourself. We literally had to ask for menus. I got the snow crab which was good, but they said they could not find nutcrackers at the moment to use for the crab!(which we had to get up and ask for) never even got our check after 3 hours of being there We finally just added our tab ourself and left the cash on the table. Hate to say it but it was probably a race thing also because it seems like they almost purposely ignored us and we have never even been there before. definitely felt the racist vibe here!

Absolutely terrible service, food, never got a refill. Calamari was rubber, everything tasted like rubber. No utensils to eat seafood with. The shrimp were abnormally large(indicated imported shrimp). Not only indicated but tasted just terrible, and cooked awfully as well. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Never ever coming back. Way over priced for such terrible food.

I decided to try this place not really expecting anything incredible but the food actually exceeded expectations. It was delicious. Definitely recommend it.

THIS PlACE is a must. Best seafood I’ve had in years. Worth the 10 minute drive away from the normal site seeing spots. I can’t say enough about this place. Food was great. Easy to find for an out of towner. You won’t find better on river st. I’m going back every time I come to Savannah. Seasoned to perfection! A must go for any seafood lover.

The food was too salty, but still good. The prices are outrageous! No kids menu, really!!! And my waitress named«Lisa» had a very nasty ass attitude and was very rude and disrespectful towards me and my children on my birthday! She had racially profiled me before I could even sit in my seat. I had to speak to the owner of the place, and he had to make her apologize to me for her actions. This dumb white girl stood in front of him and displayed the same rude behavior that she showed back at my table. He really dug into her ass then because their was no need for her acting any kind of way towards me when I’m ordering over $ 60.00 worth of high food to try out this restaurant!!! To sum it all up I won’t be visiting no time soon, and if it wasn’t for their owner i would have cursed my waitress«lisa» out and went somewhere alot more friendlier!!!

My husband and I were shopping for a new restaurant to try. We had a couple of reccomendations and had seen Boiling Seafood and threw caution to the wind. We were not disappointed. We were estatic. This place is delicious. This place is reasonable. This place will forever be in our memory! We ordered the head on shrimp, with the garlic butter sauce with mild seasoning.(you chose a sauce, and the amount of heat or no heat), a dozen raw oysters, and the fried shrimp basket with onion rings. We shared everything. We licked our fingers. We ate every bite. It was all excellent. We are both foodies, and can be pretty picky. We will be back.

Me and my husband are on a getaway and we just tried this place. The hostess didn’t greet us so I was hopeful that this first impression wasn’t going to be our full experience. Our server came and she was very nice and attentive. We ordered the seafood combination and king crab. the food was awesome. Definitely enough food to share. We were happy with our overall experience! We recommend anyone to try this place for your seafood fix. Messy but fun to eat. We will return.

My wife and I stumbled across this place on accident, and we have found our new favorite seafood restaurant. Even though the restaurant is located Ina strip mall, the layout and décor inside is very open, spacious, and welcoming. The menu is very simple, and they hand write the market prices for the day so you aren’t left wondering about the bill until the end. The beer and wine list is very sparse, but they did have a beer from a local brewery(Southbound) so I was satisfied. My wife ordered the crab legs and shrimp, while I ordered the small combination platter. We had read some reviews that mentioned small serving portions, so we erred on the side of too much. Let me assure you, you get plenty of food! When you order, you are given an option for seasoning style and spice level. My wife ordered the lemon butter, medium, and I ordered the Cajun style, hot. The food comes out in a steaming bag and has to be unwrapped. I found the process to be a lot of fun and very messy. The seasoning is fantastic. The shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, and oysters in my platter were clearly fresh and perfectly cooked. The mussels and clams were a little dried out, but they made up barely 1% of my dish so no complaints here. As I said, the seasoning is delicious, but as a word of caution, if you order hot you get hot. My wife said the medium spice was getting pretty warm for her, especially on the corn. As far as costs go, it certainly isn’t cheap, but I wouldn’t have expected it to be. We go every few months to an all you can eat crab legs, oysters, shrimp restaurant that runs about $ 69 per person. Our bill here was $ 68 with all of the food and 2 beers. Excellent value. We will be coming back again. Often.

The atmosphere and food here is amazing. It’s a fun casual place with really good seafood. I got 12 raw oysters, the fried shrimp basket with sweat potato fries, and then the 1lb of shrimp with mild Cajun seasoning. I can’t believe I ate all that food!!! But everything was so good!!! The complaints that I have is that there isn’t any draft beer or mixed drinks… just bottled beer and wine. The service was also very slow. We had to wait a while for our server to greet us once we were sat at the table. The host had to notice that we haven’t been greeted before we got service. When the waitress came for our drinks she didn’t apologize or introduce herself. I suggest training their servers on the steps of service. She also dropped the drinks/food and ran before asking if everything was O.K. or if we needed anything else. We had to track down other employees for silverware and condiments. We came in 2 hours before close. Nevertheless, I will be back because I’m still thinking about all the deliciousness I ate. Hopefully the service improves. Also, there are a lot of spelling and grammatical errors on the menu.

A great place for a casual lunch or dinner. On the walls there are a lot of signatures and things people wrote that have been here to eat. I even saw the men of Omega Psi Phi have eaten here. The menu is short which I like. I ordered the boiled shrimp. They came with the heads on which I took off. You can have it mild or hotter. I chose mild. They were fresh and sweet like shrimp should be. Included in the bag was two red potatoes and part of an ear of corn. I ate the corn last and it was spicy but delicious. One warning even though they give you a plastic bib if you sit at a booth there is some space between you and the table. So you might get some on your pants. I recommended wearing something you don’t care a lot about just in case. Luckily I have some really good remover that takes out all sorts of stains.

We arrived at 1130am on a Monday for lunch, the place doesn’t open until noon. However, there were 4 employees outside waiting for the owners/cooks to arrive. I was skeptical of eating because there was no prep work done in the kitchen. Owners arrived at 1152am and offered no apologies to the employees. The menu was very limited and you really couldn’t mix and match the items, plus no combos on the menu. I wanted crab legs, shrimp and sausage boil but settled for the boiled shrimp. Even on the fried items I couldn’t get fish and shrimp without buying 2 meals. Overall the food was good except for the corn; corn didn’t have any flavor. The shrimp were huge and I preferred not to have the heads still attached. My husband ordered the fried shrimp and Cajun fries no complaints. The batter was seasoned but little to much batter. but they gave you plenty for the cost. James was our waiter and he was the best. Very honest in helping me decide what to order off the limited menu. The restaurant is very family feeling and super clean. They allow you to write on the walls to show you were here.

For it being in a shopping plaza this place is really really good 5 stars worthy for sure. Typical boiled seafood setting. Picnic style tables and paper cloth for easy clean up! Writing in the wall which gives it character. Food 2 lbs shrimp 1 lbs king crab 1 lbs snow crab Two people food was amazing wow I thought it was going to be to much and it was perfect. Ordered it with the original Cajun style in a medium heat. Wasn’t to spicy but it was very delicious. You will make a mess but it is really worth the mess trust me corn in the cob was soaked in Cajun sauce and so was the potatoes couldn’t get enough of the sauce it was really that good and the prices are really fair for what it is. Would I recommend for sure I will be back maybe next weekend. Service The service was great our server was very polite and fast with anything we asked for. Keep it up your stars will go up.

Don’t let the negative reviews deter you from a fun & adventurous experience, the point of the bibs and marker on the walls is to create a quirky feeling that gets you excited to «dig«in with your hands & enjoy some yummy seafood ! ’. All the portions are beyond filling and the seasoning is great ! + The wings are huge & greatly priced It’s supposed to be a fun, yet intimate dining experience. Partake in getting messy with your company or by yourself with some top notch service and quality eats You won’t be disappointed
