Stoner’s Pizza Joint

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!
We had heard some great things about this place from some groups, so we thought why not try it out. 1 large pizza for 10 bucks sounds great if you stay long enough to get it. We were gone before it was even in the oven. One of the guys making the pizza decided he was hungry and was eating pepperoni off of the line, (we order a pepperoni pizza) and didn’t change gloves or anything, just went on as if nothing happened. Reading other Unilocal reviews, it’s clear that this place has a problem with time management. Some pizzas had come out of the oven and literally sat around for 5 – 7 minutes until the driver «finished» whatever she was doing in the back. There is a total lack of discipline there as all of the employees were goofing around as people were standing waiting to order. We as customers love to wait until after you are done talking about something that is clearly not work related. And if you order delivery, the bags that they use are kept on top of a trash can in plain view, without a care in the world.
How can you be called Stoners, than have «Stone baked pizza» on your sign, but use a conveyor oven…
And not to mention the foosball table that used a rolled up ball of tinfoil instead of an actual ball…

Great Pizza and calzone. The hotel front desk recommended these guys and I am happy to say their food is excellent. Greasy but so is most pizza. Excellent crust and the cheeses are wonderful. They are quick with deliver as well.

Tried them twice. First night went to wrong hotel. Second night brought food with no napkins or a fork for a salad. I ate it with chopsticks so I’m full. What do ya expect with a name like Stoners? Food was well… Burn one first. It will be ok

Had a bad experience with a late night order ordered my meal never got it and they charged my card when I called got greeted by some rude customer service from the downtown location

Nothing authentic about this place at all! Called in a take-​out order for a deep dish deluxe pizza. When I arrived, I should have turned around and walked out. The place and employees looked absolutely filthy. While waiting on my pizza I witnessed the staff taking DRY PRE-​PACKAGED pizza crust (just like the ones you buy in the grocery store) out and pouring PRE-​PACKAGED bags of marinara sauce on the pizza. When my order was ready, I was given a price $ 6.00 more then what was given to me over the phone. The topper to all of this, when I returned home to eat the pizza, it wasn’t even a deep dish pizza, it was there original thick crust. Highly disappointed and will not go back. Oh and by the way, their famous wings, I witnessed them being pulled out of a PRE-​PACKAGED plastic bag also and put right through the pizza conveyer. Spend your money somewhere else!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with late night food. We called and ordered and were given a timeframe. An hour after the timeframe ended, we were told the pizza was still in route but they had 4 more stops. Then we called to contest the charge given the failure to deliver the service as promised, and we were curtly told our order was canceled – even though our card was already charged and pizza en route. They also rudely enforced that we were not told the timeframe we heard and that it must have been an error in our part. All around horrendous customer service, a wasteful business and failure to meet even loose expectations.

We ordered a large EBA, Everything But Anchovies, pizza: we added the anchovies. Completely surprised at how AMAZING it was! Each bite was a surprise, yet it all worked together into this amazing mouth symphony! Delivery was prompt, and the driver was polite! Great first time experience and will order again!

Pizza was about 25 mins late and barely warm. Probably good if it were hot but wasn’t. We were hungry so be default it did the trick. The wings were actually a lot hotter than the pizza, why. Not great.

Not only because I promised to write this review I believe this company truly deserves it. Being from New York, I could never find a pizza joint that reminded me of home. Nothing with that family atmosphere or the love and care that was put into that product. Not only do they use some of the finest cheese, they also have enormous size wings. I have unfortunately forgotten the name of the marinade they use, but it is a spicy teriyaki sauce, and it WILL blow your mind.(Oh, and tastebuds.) I hope these negative comments don’t take away from the light this company deserves to shine in. One of the six owners from this location sat and talked with my boyfriend and I for quite some time and was very nice to do a package deal on what we wanted. Another plus, THEY’RE OPEN LATE!!! Which is perfect for my boyfriend and I’s shift that we work. All in all a 5+ star rating. I wish there were more words that I could use to describe how awesome this place is and how much of a must it is to go!

The cheese pizza and cheese sticks were beautiful! And the delivery took less than 40 minutes on a Friday night. ¹⁰⁄₁₀

We decided to try Stoners tonight and were very disappointed. We were told our pizza would be delivered within a hour. TWO hours later we still had not received our pizza. We called two different times and were told our pizza was «out for delivery». We then got a phone call from the delivery guy and he was at the wrong address. When we finally got our pizza and wings, they were cold. Not sure how it takes two hours to deliver a pizza on a Wednesday night but we will not be trying Stoners for a second time!

Ordered a pizza and a 2liter of Sprite took over an hour to get and they forgot the Sprite and the pizza was cold, called to let them know and the guy said «I’m sorry we got slammed» no excuse, your a pizza place they fixed it thank you

we have always had the best food. And by far the best garlic Parmesan chicken wings and pizza in town from Stoners on Hwy 30 Guyton. Tried Pizza Hut last weekend and it was horrible. Tonight’s deluxe from Stoners was awesome as always

To be honest we were looking for a different pizza place and ran into this «joint». Man were we surprised! The plaza is seedy… the outside isnt impressive, the inside is clean but old school. None of that matters. The za is great! I got a white sauce pizza with chicken, spinach, feta, sunripe tomatoes and bacon. My mom got a supreme red sauce. Both were fantastic. Toppings were fresh and not light handed. Everything was hot and not a bad price. We ate it for lunch, for late night munchies and for breakfast! Nom nom nom. Would def recommend this place.

I don’t care for these peoples food at all. The pizza isn’t made well and the wings are never coated properly with the flavor I order. And I’ve had them fix my order to give it another chance because the first time they said they were swamped.
The second time was on a slow night and it still turned out crappy. It’s pretty bad when your 6yr old won’t eat more than half a slice of pepperoni pizza. The pizza ingredients seem cheap to me personally, and the wings I always order lemon pepper and both times only like two of my wings even had that rub on them.
Long story short, you need to be stoned to enjoy this food.

We used to order delivery as a family meal quite frequently, but now? Never again. The quality has been rapidly decreasing as time goes on. What used to be some of the only good pie in savannah has turned into inedible garbage. This particular instance the dough on all of our orders was completely undercooked, almost raw. It was so chewy I felt like I couldve blown bubbles with it. We had to put it in the oven and bake it ourselves. The wings were game-​y, fatty, and disgusting. We’re beyond disappointed with Stoners and wont be ordering from them again.

After walking miles around the Historic District, we decided to have one night in during our trip and called Stoner’s, based on our hotel’s recommendation.
Simply, the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust is that perfectly crusty-​yet-​chewy texture that I thought only Mellow Mushroom could nail. Stoner’s does it even better.

This was the best pizza my family have had in a while. This place delivered, and it was fairly moderate priced. We all enjoyed the pizza a lot. If we lived in the area, we would definitely return. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ Definitely recommend!

Probably the best pizza in Savannah! The price point is great and the pizza is even better. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has yet to disappoint. They have many toppings to choose from so there’s something for everyone!
