Established in 2014.

Savannah Bonaventure Dash Tours was launched by 6^th generation Savannahian Timothy Rowell in 2014 to fill the demand for a walking history tour of Bonaventure Cemetery that also provided guests with round trip transportation from downtown Savannah. Southern hospitality is a key feature of the tour, with complimentary bottled water, insect repellent if needed, and drop of service to the guest’s destination of choice.

Meet the Business Owner

Timothy R.

Business Owner

Tim is a native Savannahian whose Irish ancestors immigrated here in the 1840’s.

He has 22 years of experience in the hospitality business, most of it spent in the restaurants, nightclubs, and taverns of Savannah. Timothy left the food and beverage industry in 2007 to earn a degree in History from Armstrong Atlantic State University with the intentions of becoming a History teacher, but after two years of observational studies, substitute teaching, and an internship in the public school system, Timothy decided that he could not replace the excitement and variety of the hospitality business with teaching in a classroom. He became a tour guide and found great satisfaction interacting with the visitors to his beloved city while teaching them about Savannah’s history and places of interest. Bonaventure Cemetery holds a special place in Timothy’s heart. Besides being the final resting place for family and friends, it offers a deeper connection with the people of Savannah’s past.
