Papa’s started on West Bay Street in 1972 as a carry-out Bar-B-Que, Chicken and Seafood restaurant. In 1990 we moved to Whitemarsh Island and opened a 1,200 sq. ft. full service restaurant with 35 seats and added many new items to our menu. We have the best BBQ and Seafood in Savannah!
In July 2008 Papa’s moved to the current location to expand our restaurant to 4,000 sq. ft. with 125 seats and a full bar. We would like to thank our family, friends, and loyal customers for all the years of patronage and we hope to provide our quality food and service for many more to come.

Established in 1972.
Papa’s has been Making Hungry People Happy since 1972. We are a locally owned business. Frank and Judy are in the restaurant every day. Papa’s was born in 1972 on the west side of Savannah where it was a take out only restaurant. After closing that location we moved to Whitemarsh Island and became a full service sit down restaurant in one location for 18 years. In 2008 Papa’s built a beautiful new location with 125 seats and a great full service bar.
