It is a very unsuspecting place on the side of a very busy road and they do great business — carry out only. The chicken is the best I have ever tried coated in a light batter that is seasoned just right and a black pepper accent. Their BBQ sauce is an explosion in your mouth and not your typical thick sweet sauce.
This will be a place to visit whenever I am in Savannah.

Really good fried chicken. Some of the best I’ve had in the area since moving here. They offer a very limited menu, chicken and French fries makes up most of it but they sure do them up right. Fried chicken as a nice crunch and has a little bit lighter batter than most of the other places in the area I’ve tried. It is seasoned perfectly and the chicken is cooked perfectly. Great staff and a perfect window service set up makes this place a must. Prices are very fair and for 2 dinners and drinks you’ll be around 15 bucks which is hard to beat.

By far the best fried chicken in Savanah. I have tried just about every place That serves fried chicken and this tops them all.
Be fore warned, there is little to no parking and it’s take out only. I wish they were open on the weekends but I guess they don’t need to be. Don’t be put off by the looks of the place or the neighborhood

Really good fried chicken at a really reasonable price. Cute little-​out place. You walk up to window and order your chicken. Comes with fries and a store bought dinner roll. The chicken was pretty greasy, but its fried chicken, and just fried, fresh chicken. So I grabbed extra napkins and did the blotting thing. Cooked to perfection, which isn’t always easy with fried chicken. Don’t expect conversation, don’t expect décor. Expect to wait in a line that moves very fast because you order at the window, the two efficient ladies put your food in a container and the other takes your money and within 30 seconds you move on. No nonsense, get it done, get you going take-​out. That’s what they do and do it well. 5 stars for what they do, not for being a gourmet restaurant. Loved it!

Keep in mind I am reviewing the chicken and Only the chicken. This brightly painted cinderblock building on truck clogged West Bay Street cooks the best fried chicken in Savannah. No– it is not open on weekends and yes, you only have the option of getting the food «to go» but if you want real authentic deep south chicken with the culturally experience of standing in line with truck drivers, construction workers, port workers, and locals from around the Garden City and west Savannah neighborhoods, then this is the real deal, honey baby. Very affordable and the chicken re-​heated in a hot oven works just fine for supper. If you really want ambiance, and a server… if you are intimidated by real folks who love real food, then this place is not for you. They take debit cards, cash and visa/​MC but you can not write in a tips for the kind ladies who take the orders. Bring some folding money to tip them 10% just for being so nice and for working so hard, how about it?
I bought extra chicken the last time I was there. We heated it for supper one night and I made a Quick and Easy Mulligatawny with the meat from the left overs for the next night. It has been our stand-​by picnic chicken for years. Poor tourists will never find this place and will leave town only knowing Paula Deen;s chicken, which is fine, but locals do not swing by her place to order chicken. Really.

This hole in the wall unlikely spot has the best fried chicken in town at a affordable price. Not the best looking place but who cares. Get your bucket of fried chicken and go.
