Courtyard Savannah Midtown

I stayed at this hotel with a large group and they were wonderful. They had great breakfast service. The food was very good and I loved that they even had a Starbucks. The staff was great, they were polite and helpful. The patio was very nice, I just wish they had a fire pit. The lobby/​restaurant was comfortable and clean.
I am giving the service 4 stars and the hotel in general 3 because it is not in the best location.
The only negative experience I had was the condition of my room when I first got in. It looked like it hadn’t been finished being cleaned. There was what appeared to be a used towel hanging in the bathroom and used coffee items on the dresser. That prompted me to look at the sheets, both sets had what looked like old blood stains. One of the stains was very small. But I found a cleaning lady right outside my door and told her. She smiled and told me she would get it taken care of. When I got back to my room the sheets had been changed and the beds remade, the coffee mess was cleaned up, and the towels were replaced. I had no further issues with this room or this hotel
I would stay here again if I needed to be in that area.

Utterly disappointed. This Mariott hotel room felt like a motel 6 experience, couldn’t believe it. I got into my room and wanted to put water bottles in the fridge only to find old, smelly Chinese take-​out. I don’t know how long it had been there but was not happy having to smell that. I called the front desk and they didn’t offer to have someone come and clean it out. The second day, I came back to my room only to find the take-​out still there. I had to call the front desk and ask that someone come clean out the fridge. The person they sent didn’t even say anything. I think she was on her phone. She just went in the fridge took the food and walked away. Not even an apology. There are many other hotels on abercorn… I thought to myself… I regret not going to another one. Did I get what I paid for?
Upon check-​out the next morning I had the opportunity to speak to the general manager who seemed appalled at the fact that nobody came to clean out the fridge the same day. I could go on a tangent of what that means but I won’t… Suffice to say, I’m not coming back.

I like this hotelbut there’s nothing too crazy or special that would warrant four or five stars and there’s nothing horrible that would warrant to her one it’s a good place to sleep it’s really central in Savannah and a short drive to get to downtown. The room is normal size the bed is normal size the area is decent and the battery great area.
I would definitely stay here again for the price

The people are friendly, which is how they got a 2. However, the hotel is filthy. The shower had someone else’s hair in it. The bathroom floor was not clean. All of the tables at breakfast were dirty. The chairs had food stains all over them (picture included). Eggs were burnt, twice.
I stay in Marriott properties all the time. This one does not live up to standards.

Hotel is located 10 minutes from downtown historic district and 20 minutes from Tybee Island and both are easy to get to from this location. I would recommend staying here over the $ 300-​$ 400 it will cost you to stay closer to the beach or downtown. Even if you don’t have a car there are shuttles available. Our room was clean and spacious with a refrigerator and microwave.
Bathroom was spotless, which is something I am particular about. However, the shower head was old or needs a dose of CLR to clear up the spray because it was spraying everywhere but where I wanted it to.
Staff was very friendly and courteous, opened our wine and provided extra pillows.
One thing that happened during our stay, that drives me nuts when any hotel allow it, is someone rented a room and had a childs birthday party in the pool. That would be fine except there were 30 kids in the pool screaming all day and night. No one else could get in and we were right across from them and seem only one room had been rented. I think hotels should limit the number of guests allowed per room.

If you paid more than $ 80.00 for this stay, then you paid way too much!!! The breakfast was the best thing about the stay. The staff were not knowledgeable. The housekeeping were beyond rude. As a gold Marriott member, I was not allowed a late check-​out. The windows and elevator was extremely dirty looking.
One word of advice: CLEAN!!!

We booked this hotel on Priceline for a quick weekend trip to Savannah and were pleasantly surprised. The front desk clerk, Nye, was very friendly and the lobby/​bar area was also very nice. The hallways/​carpets could use some updating but the rooms were clean, comfortable, and worth the $ 78 paid.

For an extremely nice hotel this experience is an extreme let down. As a soccer referee who travels extensively for tournaments the hotel management has dropped the ball. Last weekend we stayed here with no difficulties but this weekend the front desk clerk, Nye, was very nice but informed me that I had to pay for my «complimentary» room and then have the amount refunded to me in the next two weeks. Who does that? J have stayed at many hotels and not one hotel has done business this way. Many soccer teams fill this hotel’s rooms every year for this tournament but I will spread the word from now on. The front desk said it was because of new ownership. Note to new owners: You have started on the wrong foot and definitely insult rather than be hospitable. I will stay at other hotels, even a Motel 6, before I stay here again.

Nice pool. Pretty good room. Very clean. Comfy bed. You have to drive a little to get to where the action is but not sure if I’d stay here again for almost $ 150. Next time I come to Savannah I think I’ll try to stay down by the river. If you’re here for an event close to this location, I’d stay here. If you’re here to party, try somewhere else. I know you can get more for your buck!

I came to Savannah looking forward to a great trip, well this place made that mostly impossible. Check-​in was at 3 and at 6:30 our room still was not ready. The clerk (Cinnamon. I know) and manager (Josh) gave us the run around and would not give us a time our room would be ready. This is the worst customer service that I have ever witnessed. We missed out on a valuable afternoon of vacation time. I highly encourage you to find a different place to stay.

I stay at courtyard a lot this one isn’t well managed I found blood on my sheets and was woken up at 6:30 by cleaning staff. Horrible customer service waited 4 hours for the sheets

The rooms are nicer than the halls and the building. The lobby is fashionable and not bad to hang in for a bit. Overall the hotel is ok. The location is perfect for getting to downtown and around town. Not a bad value compared to the hotels in the historic district that are twice as much. This is not an impressive place, but far from disgusting. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Enjoyable enough when in Savannah.

I’d say this Courtyard is a solid 3.5 stars. The staff are friendly enough, but the location leaves you wanting just a little bit better. It is located right off of a main Savannah street (Abercorn) but kind of far away from the heart of downtown. Sure it’s just a 10min car ride, but if you are looking to park at the hotel and walk around, there are a few restaurants within walking distance, but everything else Savannah would have to be access via car.
The hotel looks to be recently renovated with a modern lobby interior — clean lines and surfaces and modern looking furniture. I was a bit disappointed since with a room rate, the breakfast was not included and was «A La Carte» so you would have to spend more money to get a mediocre/‘fast food’ breakfast. Granted it’s Starbucks, but I would hope it would have been idea to provide some sort of hot food service, but you can’t always get what you want.
The rooms and bathrooms are super clean and functional. Beds are comfortable and you are provided with ample pillows and blankets. Rooms still have the huge one room air unit/​handler near the window so the place is still a little dated, but you still get the flat screen tv and some HD Channel watching capability.
Walls are a bit thin so if you have a noisy crowd coming through the hallways, you definitely hear it.
Overall, would I stay here again? Maybe not for the rate I got, but I would like to stay closer to the downtown area if I had to do it all over again.

Courtyards are all the same! But that is one thing that makes Marriott’s great! You can always count on them to be the same.
My fiancé and I stayed here for a week while in Savannah! The staff was AMAZING! The staff really made our stay great! Anything we needed, they made it happen.

Bottom line if you don’t want to read my long review: Good, clean place with nice employees!
I had an issue with my reservation at this hotel, but it was minimal and resolved favorably, so I will address it at the end. It would not keep me from staying here again.
This is an older hotel. It is on the outskirts of downtown Savannah, so don’t think that it is within walking distance of the downtown shops and stuff — it’s not. It’s on the main drag, but it’s a couple miles from downtown; but, still close enough — about a 10 minute drive; but, you do need a car to stay here.
It had all the unual amenities; lots of parking, free good wifi, coin laundry room (free detergent), etc. The lobby has been redone and is very nice. The hallways and rooms could use a makeover, but were clean; I have no complaints about that. My room was nice — all rooms have a nice balcony with a door that opens. The bed was comfy with clean sheets and comfortable pillows. Bathroom was big and clean.
I would definitely stay here again. Savannah is an expensive town, and this place had reasonable prices compared to a waterfront or downtown hotel. There’s a mall a few miles down the road, and there’s a grocery store within about 3 blocks. Lots of fast food joints and restaurants all nearby — those are within walking distance.
The staff is very nice. And, the kids who work at the little restaurant area — they are super nice and helpful. The restaurant area was clean and they were all friendly. I had the breakfast here twice and both times it was very good. It’s not fast food stuff; it’s real eggs, potatos, etc. But, it is a little pricey if your rate doesn’t include it. Try to get a rate that includes it.
Now, my complaint. I wouldn’t normally mention it, but you need to beware. I got a rate that included breakfast. The breakfast is new to Couryards; you order a meal and they bring it to you (it’s not the old-​style buffet/​restaurant). Well, my rate included that breakfast. When I checked in, the lady told me no it didn’t. Not being sure, I didn’t want to argue the point. But, I checked my reservation on my my laptop, and it clearly said «breakfast for 1 person». I printed that out, and took it down to show her the next morning. She was VERY nice about it. She said that program was discontinued, but being that my reservation said it, she would honor it. So, I got the breakfast for 2 mornings. NOW, when I got my bill emailed to me, one of the breakfasts was on my bill ($ 12.00). I called and they immediately removed it. So, it was resoved amicably. I just want to tell anyone if their rate says they get the breakfast, BE SURE to print out the reservation so you can show that you are entitled to it.

I like the place and Christina was very helpful. My brother and i were here together. We got a suite and she was very instrumental in helping us enjoy our stay. The only down fall is that it’s far from River St. but other than that, stay here!
