No luck with my first Unilocal experience. Nice reviews but this guy is no longer in the cab business…
UPDATE: When I originally called Beta Cab no one picked up. I then called the direct line listed in one of the other reviews and spoke to David (the driver who received the positive reviews). David informed me that he is no longer driving.
Then MUCH later in the evening, Beta Cabs actually called me to see if I wanted a cab. I guess they got my number from caller ID and decided a bit late to try to get some business. So apparently they do have other drivers after all. By this time I had already found another cab company though. Doesn’t seem like they have any kind of central dispatch.

I called David based on the previous review when I needed to get the airport from Ardsley Park VERY early in the morning. I was extremely pleased with the level of service provided.
David showed up promptly at the appointed time, and was waiting to take my bag when I came out the door. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great personality.
I will use this service again and recommend it highly.
UPDATE: I called David to schedule my airport pick-​up on my return. He was able to schedule, and re-​schedule and re-​schedule when I got bumped, then had mechanical issues on my flights. David was not just extremely flexible, he also met me in the terminal, waited with me for my bag and took it the cab. Amazing service.

I ended up in David’s Beta Cab by luck, in the taxi line at Savannah’s airport, and i’m glad.
David is a member of the local historical society, and after the obligatory weather conversation, he told me some great local ghost stories, the latest theories on the Missing Confederate Gold, some tidbits about General Sherman and why he didn’t burn Savannah, and how interlinked Savannah’s economy was with pirating back in the day.
