Steve and Nancy’s Southcross Auto Service is your one-stop shop for all your service needs, from tire repairs and oil changes to complex electronic diagnostics and repair.

History

Established in 1997.

Steve met Nancy when she skidded into the Mobil service station in need of new brakes. Since a good mechanic is hard to find, Nancy decided she should hold onto this guy. The couple married in 1982. Since 1988 Nancy has worked in the business as a bookkeeper, along with her «day job»: raising their three sons, who have all worked summers at Southcross Auto Service.

After building a loyal customer base through word-of-mouth advertising from satisfied customers, Steve moved to a larger facility in 1997 that is today known as Southcross Auto Service. Since moving to Savage, Southcross Auto Service has built a reputation in the community as an honest shop providing quality repairs.

Business Owner

Steve and Nancy’s Southcross Auto Service is your one-stop shop for all your service needs, from tire repairs and oil changes to complex electronic diagnostics and repair.

Our start began with Steve’s passion to work on automobiles. In 1974 Steve attended a 2-year program for auto repair at Dakota County Vo-Tech in Rosemount, after which he began his career as an auto mechanic. While working at a Chrysler dealership, Steve desired the ability to expand his expertise and work on more than one make of car. Coupled with a his desire to have more customer contact, Steve took a lead technician position at a Mobil service station. After just three short years, Steve purchased the service station in 1982, with exceptional customer service and the highest level of auto repair as the cornerstones to his successful business.
