Always having a passion for animals and pets, Alysha grew up always knowing she wanted a career with them. Graduating in 2008 from Argosy University and after volunteering at Animal Ark Shelter, she obtained a position as a Veterinary Technician in Prior Lake, MN. As a part time passion and service to her furry friends, she started pet sitting after a friend asked her to pet sit her elderly Labrador over Christmas. Realizing how difficult it can be to just trust anyone with your beloved family member, she created Preferred Pet Sitter where someone can ask a highly qualified, personable, honest and dependable person to take care of man’s best friend.

Alysha is WONDERFUL! She is a fantastic communicator and really is an expert when it comes to animals. At first, I was worried that my furbaby, Ali, was going to be a handful for her since he tends to be on the «stubborn» side. She has been caring for him on our trips for a year and he has calmed down and has better manners thanks to his stays with her. She goes above and beyond what a pet sitter usually does and always takes the time to talk to us when we drop/​pick Mr. Ali up. She gives us suggestions that always work on how to continue to work with Ali. We are so lucky to have found someone that loves and cares for our furbaby as much as we do and every time we go on a trip the last thing we need to worry about is Ali. That that is the best feeling in the world! Thank you Alysha!!!
PS. we always look forward to the nightly emails with pictures and make sure we show them to all of our family: D

Best Pet service ever!
I have been a long standing customer and I trust Alysha with my dog 110%. I started with weekly dog & cat visits to my home when I had long days at work.
I have moved a ways away but I still use her when I need someone to watch Dixie (my dachshund) when I am out of town. I feel so much better leaving my dog in a home and not in a kennel when I am gone. I know she is getting more love and attn than she would at a kennel, heck probably more than when she is home with me. I get a report card with info on how things went every day and a note about the over all visit. There is pickup and drop off options and the prices are really reasonable!
You can’t find a better person to care for your pets!

Above and beyond! While our corgi and pom must’ve loved when we went away because the boarding facility always overfed them, ugh. We were very happy that Alysha kept them well-​fed and trim. There were no messes in the house, and I was thrilled to come back and see (and feel and hear) that she’d trimmed up their nails, too!
