History
Established in 2011.
Although Travels with Teri officially opened in 2011, Teri, the owner of Travels with Teri has been in travel for more than 30 years. Working as a travel writer for half of that time, Teri lived in Asia, and the destinations that she specializes in. For the latter half of the time, Teri has worked in all aspects of the travel industry in San Francisco and Marin county including management, Destination Specialist for India and Asia and worldwide custom tours. She offers you superb professional industry knowledge along with expert destination information.

My first trip to Asia was to Nepal, which was a turning point in my life. I had been working as a journalist in the Pacific Northwest writing for newspapers in the Seattle region and Northwest travel brochures. I wrote a few adventure stories about my trekking experiences in Nepal just for fun. Well, one thing led to another and lo and behold I was given an opportunity to work in Nepal, India and Sri Lanka for new tourist publications which were in the works by a subsidiary of the NYT. I ended up living a majority of fifteen years in India and Nepal including 4 years in Sikkim. That’s another story!
Moving back «home» to the states, I relocated from the Pacific Northwest to San Francisco and began a second career in travel. I started in air consolidation work, negotiating discount airline travel and tours to India and Nepal. After 2 years I took a job managing the travel agency, Parnassus Heights Travel, located on the UCSF Campus booking both corporate and leisure. UCSF outs
