Specialties
For those who are visiting Sausalito, unprepared for our micro-climate, we carry carefully selected outerware. For those who have abused their feet, we have one style of extraordinarily comfortable shoes. The jewelry is often bold and mostly from local artists. We also specialize in unique transportable handcrafted gifts, «one-size» clothing, and restaurant recommendations. For our locals, we’re always gathering something new, concentrating on environmentally friendly work, fair trade, and local craftspeople. The friendly, helpful staff also creates artwork for sale!
History
Established in 2006.
After closing my design firm in Chicago, I moved to Sausalito to be close to my family. I opened a small boutique featuring home furnishings nearby. Shortly after, a local businessman proposed an opportunity I couldn’t resist, and I moved Out of Hand to its current location. The merchandise has evolved to include «one size» clothing, outerware, transportable gifts and mementos, along with locally made crafts.
