Not a bad place to chill by the bay. Lot of hippies talking about doing laundry and going to a Rainbow gathering. Shirtless hippie smashing through parking lot in old volvo wagon. Police poaching poor people across the street. Could be worse I guess.

This is a pretty good park; the best part about it is the view of the boats out on the water. It has a small shore kids and dogs can play in. The grassy part itself isn’t that great but a good relaxing spot to enjoy the water!

Nice park on Bridgeway on the water, they have lots of benches and some shade, we made a little picnic and walked over from Mollie Stones. There were some homeless guys hanging out in the shade but we never felt threatned or anything by them. They also have a farmers market on sundays.

Maybe things have improved since the negative reviews here, but this is a great park — we love having it right across the street from where we live. Our dogs love it most of all, with lots of grass to run around on, and a perfect little waterfront for them to take a dip in the bay. I’ve only lived here a few months, but there’s always a ton of activity going on here with people using the sand volleyball court and the bocce lanes, or just sitting around enjoying the great view or having BBQ’s. Then there’s the little farmer’s market on Sundays. We personally don’t have an issue with the homeless that hang out here — they’re always very friendly and don’t leave much of a mess. The park is kept pretty clean and has dog bags available in case you forgot yours. It’s just a great little park to have nearby.

I agree with all of the reviews about the lawn and the gargage, a little embarrassing for such a beautiful community to allow the matainence of what we do have go to hell. The city denies our bay walk and then let’s what we do have get destroyed…

Dunphy Park attracts a lot of drunken derelicts, homeless and druggies, especially after 5PM. The city does a good job trying to keep the park clean but there often is trash overflowing from trash bins, rats and BBQ remnants(bones, debris, beer cans, etc.). Beware of: * The smell, as people urinate and defecate all over the place — trees, bushes, etc. — and the park can smell wretched. * The trash bins are often overflowing and/or there are unclosed trash bags sitting next to trash bins. This problem has become worse with the new bocce courts. * Due to all the trash, there are rats everywhere, especially over by the Gazebo. * Someone drops off boxes of old bread, bananas, etc. that sit rotting in open boxes attracting rats and flies for days at a time. * Homeless people sleep in the BBQ pit and leave behind all sorts of trash and debris. * People cook on hibachis and drink along the fence by the gazebo at night and rarely clean up after themselves The park is dirty and more than likely poses a health hazard due to the unkempt people who hang out and sleep in the park and nasty, reeking trash, debris and rats that are all over the place.

Holy moly, why have I not come here before?! Walked past a million times, but never until today did I venture in. Lush grass, a few small hills… and the best part — a perfect swimming spot for the pooch! No mud like MV dog park, a nice gentle«ramp» down to the pretty clean-looking water. Woooo!

Dunphy park sits along the water in sausalito, on bridgeway between Napa St and Litho St. The good things are the view of richardson bay and the Gazebo. There is also a beach volleyball court and a lawn bowling court. What could be better is that most of the time the place could use a good lawn mowing, and also the grass is damp and soggy most of the winter and spring. This park is best used as a quick stop for a view and maybe a snack,
