Specialties
You don’t have to drive very far from San Francisco to get a taste of Wine Country. We are located in the heart of historic downtown Sausalito, just steps from the Ferry landing, where restaurants, shopping and wine tastings are wonderful ways to spend an afternoon. Come try a «flight of wine» at our two-floor tasting bar overlooking the Bay. Each flight has four hand-crafted wines from different wineries and appellations throughout California. With more than 175 different boutique California wines in the shop, our menu changes daily, with as many as 16 wines to taste each day. Our knowledgeable staff guides you through a tasting of artisinal and hard-to-find wines while sharing information on winemaking techniques, food pairing suggestions and more. Bring your corporate groups, private parties and team building events. We are happy to ship to all 50 states and deliver locally to suit your needs.
Meet the Manager
Michelle B.
Manager
If I look young, that is because I am. At the age of 23 I became a Certified Sommelier — just two years after I turned the legal drinking age! I knew at 17 that I wanted a career in wine. So I moved from the wine country I grew up in, Sonoma County, to the Central Coast wine country, in order to study Wine Business at Cal Poly. After graduation, I enrolled in the Professional Culinary Institute in San Jose where I was trained by three Master Sommeliers. (There are fewer than 200 in the world.) I passed the grueling exam to become a Level One and Two Certified Sommelier.
Many people ask me, «What is your favorite wine?» Each day I have a different answer. If I absolutely had to pick one varietal, it would be Pinot Noir. I love the way Pinot is constantly evolving from the minute you open it, to the last sip you take. If I were stuck on a desert Island with a bottle of Pinot Noir and a Wild Mushroom and White Truffle Pizza, life would be alright.
