Salon 345

I got my hair cut here for the first time… new to the area so needed to find a new place to go. Read some good reviews on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. Pretty disappointed overall. I go in and state that I «would like about an inch off, add some more layers, and touch up the front angle»… I have long hair and am super low maintenance so I like to keep it simple. At no point during my hair cut did the hair stylist ask me how short i wanted the layers, or the front angle, or ask me if this is ok or that is ok… which i find appalling… I have always had my hair dressers ask questions during the process to make sure you’re ok with what they are doing. She proceeds to chop off A LOT of my hair. My front angle she referred to as «bangs» when she was done and asked if i wanted them shorter (i didn’t even want them that short to begin with, and never have i wanted bangs or did i ever say the word bangs) — they’re right about where my chin is, and they used to be at my shoulders — how is that «one inch or so»… I’m really disappointed with my hair cut and I won’t be going back. The hair looks ok, but not what i wanted at all… i’m wondering where she got the instructions of what i wanted because it definitely wasn’t what i told her when i initially sat down in the chair.

Had my eyebrows cleaned up. Love Denise!!! Can’t wait to go back.

So I came here based on Unilocal reviews. I requested an appointment online two days before I wanted a haircut. They hadn’t gotten back to me the next day so I gave them a call. I was given an appointment right away for the day I had requested. I was a little annoyed that they hadn’t even acknowledged that they saw my request submitted online but glad to get an appointment so quick nonetheless.
I had just a cut appointment as I do not dye my hair. The lady who cut my hair (for the life of me I cannot remember her name) was really nice and kept up conversation with me. There was also a nail tech and customer in the salon that joined in a couple times. Everybody was really friendly. The hairstylist gave me a rundown of their services while she was cutting my hair. I had already seen the available services online but I am picky about who I go to for waxing and such — I’ve been going to the same place for 2+ years and I’m not sure I’m ready to give someone else a try. Maybe in the future I will test out those services as well.
My haircut was exactly as I wanted. She was very attentive and didn’t rush. I am very happy with the cut.
My haircut cost $ 40 and my hair (before and after the cut) is of medium length — just past my shoulders. They do have a new customer coupon for $ 20 off $ 40 or more in services. So I only paid $ 20 this time. The regular price is a little high for me but I only get it cut once a year or so and I think that price is fair.
I would return to Salon 345 and I would recommend it to others.

I went in on Friday night after work. I had an appointment with Jamie for an eye brow wax. She was very nice but I have a chunk of my eye brow missing now. It looks like she cut it too short on one side.

This was my first time there. I called ahead and they squeezed my boyfriend and I in on a busy Saturday. The place is small but super cute. Our pedicurist (I forget her name) was so sweet and did a really good job. She is only there every other saturday but they have a regular nail lady too. I can’t wait to get a hair cut here :)

I’ve been a loyal customer of Denise (FABULOUS owner) since 1996, Laura (SUPER nail tech) and Jaime (AMAZING esthetician), since Salon 345 opened in Saugus. Denise is friendly and gregarious, does a color and cut like nobody else, and if you want something she’s not 100% awesome at (for example, years ago I decided on foils … for a minute), she will have one of her staff do it, so it gets done exactly right. Laura is a wizard, most thorough pedicure EVER, and she’s as fussy as I am about a perfect shellac manicure. She even uses new files/​buffers with every client and gives them to them. Laura is also very artistic and creative, if you want something custom. Jaime is gentle and low-​key; she’s done laser hair removal on me, as well as facials and waxing. Do yourself a favor, go to Salon 345. Often. They will fix you!

I did my hair here it was a laidback, fun and very uplifting. I can’t wait to do my shellac nails here :-) the sevice is awesome !!!

I’ve been going here ever since I bought a Shellac Dealfind coupon during the summer of 2011. For the past year and a half, I’ve been a regular customer, every other week. This family, friends, and employee, run business is by far the best salon experience I have ever had. Besides my every other week shellac manicure done by the wonderful and talented Laura C., I’ve had my hair cut by her, which I need to do again very soon. This Christmas I even bought my sister a gift certificate for laser for a full year, after having a bad experience with another salon in Saugus.
After coming to Salon 345 for so long and having such a great experience, that it was only right that my sister, after asking her many times to come with me for nails and talking up my time there, that I buy her laser so she can come with me now too.
Everywhere I go including work, I get nothing but compliments on my nails. With creativity and talent Laura really does an amazing job.
I have nothing but great things to say about Salon 345. I will keep going back for as long as I can.

I just wanted to write in response to S. M.‘s review on 5÷15÷12. I know the girl you wrote about and she is no longer working at the salon. I had a somewhat lackluster experience with her and spoke to the salon owner and she was very open to listening to my comments and offered to rectify the situation. She is very customer-​oriented and even went so far as to throw a party for her customers in celebration of 345 Facebook «Like“s!
I believe one should always give a business the chance to fix it and turn a negative customer service experience into a positive one! (Then, if you can’t get any satisfaction from the business, flame away.)
I think the majority of good reviews speak for themselves. :)

This place is awesome! when ever I went to go get more hair done, I always tried different places, never went back. My sister and I went here and we both have came back multiple times! Look forward to my next visit! Cant wait to get my nails done for the summer :)

This is a full service salon in the Saugus area that offers everything from hair cuts to nails to massages. You name it, they offer the service. I came in with a Buy With Me coupon last year and I don’t go anywhere else for my hair, nails, waxing and facial services. They also offer a wide variety of hair and spa products for purchase, including Moroccan Oil. If you ask for something and they are out of it, they offer to call you when it comes in or get it for you at some point.
All the girls are lovely and professional. I consider this a second home because it reminds me of my family.
I always get a cut and color with Laura, but I’ve seen Denise (the owner), Melissa and the other girls at work and they do an amazing job. I’ve also gotten facials and waxing with Jayme who is phenomenal. I have extremely sensitive skin and my face didn’t react to the products they use AND I had a beautiful glow in the dead of winter. At all the holiday parties people would comment on how great I looked.
Another great thing is they are very versatile. They are always educating themselves with the trends. I’ve seen hair extensions, feathers, tinsel for the holidays and Laura can give the best trendy manicures as well. However if you are happy with a classic look, they are happy to oblige. Every time I’ve gotten my hair, nails and eyebrows — of which I’m picky about all three — I’ve never complained at all. Whatever you want, they will give you.
Denise is a fantastic business woman and owner of the salon. She’s always educating herself and staff about new products, marketability and treating customers with professionalism. Ask her anything about business or give her a new idea and she’s happy to listen.
Their prices are extremely reasonable for a full service salon, and I come out feeling like a million bucks. I would recommend this salon to anyone.

Just went there with my twin sister, and we both got our hair done with a Boston deal find groupon. Great service! Great staff, I tipped more than I payed for the groupon! Great staff and my hair has never looked so great. And they also do nails, and laser hair removal. Me and my sister will deff return! What a great salon

I just went here today to use a dealfind coupon that I had bought for a 30 min mani & pedi. Walking in, I admit, I was a bit worried. It was really small and dainty, which wasn’t what I was used to. At the end of my visit… OMG, it was amazing!!! I was pleasantly surprised at how great the service was! I’m really sad I didn’t grab her name, but since there’s only 2 nail technicians… it’s a ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ shot you’ll get her. She spent an insane amount of time helping me get my nasty feet all pretty again! She spent so much time hydrating my skin, getting rid of my cuticles, making sure that no nail polish was left on the side of my nails. It was just great how much time and attention she spent on my nails. She didn’t rush through anything, but went through each step with great care. I left extremely satisfied. Granted, this was a 40 minute drive away from my house… and I got lost going back home, I am definitely returning in the future. Great service and she did an amazing job. By far the best place I’ve gotten my nails done so far!

I wish I could give this place a negative rating– as in NEVER go. I purcahsed a deal for a pedicure/​manicure there and had the worst experience of my life. Not only was the pedicure chair the cheapest thing I have ever seen– they use a basin that you buy at target and walk over the hot water in the basin– no jets no anything. Then not only did my pedicure last 10 minutes, she CUT my toe so bad that 4 of the 10 minutes she was putting pressure on my toe she cut it so bad! then i came right from work and it was cold so i didnt have any flip flops, usually at salons they give u those flimsy plastic throw away flip flops, instead they are looking for flip flops. i see them in the back room rubbing some disgustingly dirty flip flpops to put on my feet. i told them, no thanks and the girl looks up and says ‘we cleaned them’… biggest mistake ever going there. i went home and soaked my feet in alchohol to disinfect.
I had acrylic nails on and unfortunately they do not do acrylic. i just asked her to clean up my cuticles and i was going to go somewhere else for the nails, ud think that she MIGHT spend 10 mins on my cutilcles since it said taht is was a 30 min manicure, she didnt even put lotion on my hands… the tools were being SHARED among the two ppl. discusting!
ahh man i usually do not complain about places but people should honestly know what they are getting into going here… dont do it

CQI Day Spa has now moved to this new address and changed their name as well. They used to be right up the street from my house, so I’d been there a few times. My experiences there were neither bad nor good. I’m interested to see what other changes, if any they have made to the salon.
