I am writing to let you know how much I appreciate the outstanding customer service that Teddy, Ashe and Arden have shown upon visiting your store for an exchange of the item that I bought. Teddy and his team were very attentive and helpful, they were very knowledgeable about your Bestbuy’s product line and return/​exchange policy and seemed genuinely interested in helping me find a solution to my problem even after the store was closed, this is what I call determination and going extra mile. Because of their efforts and the contact center (Marissa), I was able to get the exchange done and I am very satisfied with the product I now have. I will continue to visit your store in the future, as well as recommend it to others.
Teddy, Ashe and Arden, your efforts did not go unnoticed. You have put together a great team work that made me feel respected and valued.

Best Buy is one of those places that unfortunately only gets negative reviews. Think about it. If you went in and purchased a new laptop and everything went smoothly, you probably wouldn’t write a positive review merely because they did their job. I’ve been purchasing all of my consumer electronics at Best Buy because their 0% financing and rewards programs are phenomenal. I usually just place my order online and pick up at customer service later in the day. Today was an exception however…
For whatever reason, Best Buy marked up the price of the new iPhone 6S by $ 50. Simply put, you would save $ 50 by going to an Apple Store instead of Best Buy. I called 888-​BEST-​BUY to see if they would price match. The rep I spoke to said they would absolutely match Apple’s price. She said I could go into the store, show them the Apple Store price on my phone, and they would gladly adjust the price. So that’s exactly what I attempted to do.
I walked to the Mobile Phone section and was greeted right away. When I told the employee what I was trying to do, she said absolutely not. She said they would never price match an Apple product and that my best bet would be to go to an Apple store if I wanted to save $ 50. I’m a customer with $ 650 in hand looking to make a purchase, and I was sent away. What sort of sales training would promote that type of behavior?
I went to the Customer Service booth and explained the situation. The employee went to her manager who reiterated what I was told before. Despite what I was told on the phone, they would not price match.
I decided to call 888-​BEST-​BUY in an attempt to resolve the situation on my own. It was late on a Sunday and I really didn’t want to drive to an Apple Store. The rep I spoke to was very friendly and confirmed that the store was not acting in accordance with corporate policy. He adjusted the price over the phone and set up my order as an in-​store pickup. He sent me an email confirmation.
I went back to the Customer Service booth. I showed them the email confirmation with the adjusted price. They said I had to go back to the Mobile Phone section and wait in line for an available rep. I explained to them that I merely wanted the phone and did not need any service activation (I’m contract free and pay cash for my phones). They told me somebody would be with me shortly. I went back to the Mobile Phone section and was ignored for 20 minutes.
At this point I had determined that Best Buy did not want my money. I went back to Customer Service and asked for a refund. I had been in the store for over an hour at this point. This was supposed to be a simple in-​and-​out transaction. I can activate the phone and copy the data from my old phone at home. I do not need any technical support — I just need the hardware. They finally agreed to simply give me the phone.
I’m not asking for much when it comes to electronics purchases. I do all my own research and do all my own installation and configuration. In this case it’s really unfortunate that the management at this particular store would encourage a culture of turning away customers.
End of the day, I was able to purchase my new iPhone and I love it so far. I don’t look at it as saving $ 50 since Best Buy is deliberately hiking the price by $ 50 over MSRP (if you don’t believe me, simply compare the prices on the Apple and Best Buy websites). If this happens again next year when the iPhone 7 comes out, I will save myself the frustration and just go to the Apple Store.

The Geek Squad at this Best Buy is wonderful! No waiting, they come right over, and have fixed two problems I’ve had right then and there. FOR FREE!
Can’t get better than that!

I had a ten year old Compaq Presario that had a bad hard drive. After talking to their computer salesman Alex, who was very polite and very helpful. His computer knowledge was very good. So I decided to purchase the computer he suggested a Acer TC605 which was on sale for $ 563.00.Brought my computer in to have them transfer my data on to the Acer. The salesman at the desk quoted me a price of $ 60.00 for transfer of data. I told him fine, then he says hold on I have to check the price of transfer. He goes back to the Geek Squad, and comes back and says that the price of transfer is $ 80.00.We hem and haw but we decide to do have it done. Then the salesman says hold on for a minute, and goes back to the Idiot Squad, and comes back and says that it will be another $ 30.00 for set-​up fee. WTF! I ask to see the manager. But she tells me that thats the price and will not budge or even work with me. They were rude, and not knowledgeable on the whole process to satisfy a customer. I told them what they could do with their computer, and told them the only one in the store that was any help was Alex who wanted to sell me the computer. I left and my wife found Alfa Computer on line which had a very good reputation on their Unilocal site. So l took my computer there, and lo and behold they were fantastic. Bought my computer there with no charge for a diagnostic, set-​up, and transfer fee. They also gave me a brand new keyboard free of charge. So if you have any computer, laptop, or tablet problems, Alfa Computer in Woburn is the place to go. You will not regret it.

Since the demise of Circuit City, Best Buy has become the only brick and mortar shopping option for electronics. Their customer service has been in steady decline for some time. Their return policy is poor unless you shell out for an extended warranty. I purchased a laptop at this Best Buy and the charging port failed. I brought the unit back to the store and the clerk said they would send it back to Samsung to see if a repair would be covered under the manufacture warranty. A week later the computer was delivered back to the store. They did not send it to Samsung. They sent it to their GEEK SQUAD repair shop instead. I was told a repair would cost $ 420. The laptop cost $ 379! I instead brought it to a local repair shop and they replaced the mother board for $ 120! Look elsewhere for your electronic purchases. Amazon with a Square Trade extended warranty is a much better option in my opinion.

I had an upgrade due for December 9^th. I was pretty excited to get the iPhone 6. I had just graduated college and got some money a few days after my phone was eligible so I figured, now is a great time to get the phone. Well I guess I should have known better since it was the week before Christmas but I was determined. I did not realize how difficult it was going to be. I had gone to best buy in Danvers, best buy mobile in dancers, and the AT&T store in Danvers. No one had the phone, or no one could process my upgrade. I felt defeated. I finally called at&t in saugus they wasted my time for 45 minutes so I figured I would try best buy in Saugus and if they too couldn’t deliver I would give up.
I waited in a long line before finally sitting across a very friendly best buy employee, Natali. She was polite and funny and right away we got along. I had thought to myself that even if they didn’t have my phone at least she was pleasant and helpful. Natali looked all over the store (literally) for an iPhone 6. I had my heart set on gold but told her I would take whatever she had. Although she was skeptical of whether or not I would have luck she continued to look for me.
Finally she found the phone, and in gold to boot! After being so incredibly awesome she not only scoured the store for the perfect case that would compliment my new gold phone, but also applied my tempered glass screen protector. Natali hands down is one of the best employees that best buy has. Not only does she have a great personality but she truly cares about customer service. These employees should be getting commission. Best Buy in Saugus exceeded my expectations and their employees are great people.

I was looking to compare prices on a cell phone. I was switching from metro pcs to another carrier but wasn’t sure who to go with. I had gone to a few places and wasn’t happy either with service or pricing. the associate who helped me was 869 176 he was very helpful patient, and polite. he went over my options in detail and offered me a great deal within my budget. I was very pleased with the service and my purchase. I think if anyone is switching carriers or looking for other great promotions on mobile phones they should definitely go to best buy first. they had better offers then any store I has gone to.

UPDATE: I just came across trhis old review, and I had to make an update, because I remember that this earlier review I came across, was just a very bad experience. Overall, since then, I have purchased and electric stove from Best Buy, a dishwasher for my mother, and many other products. I used their credit card, the Best Buy ccredit card which is no interest if paid within the time period listed. Customer service has been outstanding as well. Last incident I can recall was the Google Play Tv I had purchased their. It was over the refund period, but the young blonde lady who helped me, after listening to the reason I was returning the product, said that it was still covered under warranty, and that I could be refunded the money as store credit. This was on the day of no taxes, so I had returned it and bought the Amazon tv instead. All in all Best Buy, in Saugus, at the Square One Mall, deserves nothing less than five stars. They have been extraordinary in customer service, products they sell, and even the store credit card I reccomend using. Someitmes my emotions take the best of me which is why i had wrote the previous message, but after signing on to Unilocal,and seeing this old review, I felt that I owed Best Buy and their team this review. Outstanding well kept store, team that works there, and products they sell. I reccomend anyone to this store.

I hate this store. I went there the other night to help a friend pick out a laptop. He found the one he wanted and we asked an employee if they had it in stock. He replied «No. We don’t.» and walked away. He then stood around and stared off into space. He didn’t make any attempt to help us at all.
I checked online to see if other stores had any. They didn’t. They also didn’t have any at

Obviously, I was confused. I’m standing there in the store looking at a laptop with a big sale sign on it. Yet they didn’t have any in a 50 mile radius and no ability to ship me one. Why would they keep it on the shelf at all? Maybe this is why they are going out of business? Nah… let’s blame the internet instead.

I dont buy from them, mostly younger staff that dont have a clue unless they have owned it themselves, DO NOT USE THEIR BATHROOM GROSS UNSAFE, I brought my 4 yr son in there to go there was urine on floor and poop around toilet and used toilet paper hanging around. Not for nothing but an employee came out of there as we where going in. When we carefully came out he was in his department and apparently didnt care of the grossness. Goodluck to all you parents.

Went in to buy a MP3/​Ipod connector to my car. The first woman told me «Go talk to Mobile». I went over there and 1 woman was talking to a customer, upselling everything under the sun while I waited in line. I was there 20 minutes before another person walked over and asked a woman who had just walked up, «can I help you». Here I am waiting almost ½ hour and he immediately talks to the woman walking by. I called Radio Shack while I waiting in line (its literally right next door in the mall) and the clerk said he will have it waiting for me when I come in. I walked out and had my connector less than 10 minutes later. SAVE YOURSELF TIME GO TO RADIO SHACK!!!

As a major Techie Best Buy is a good source for low end or quick buys for things I need.
As far as Best Buys go this is bottom tier they have no stock of anything and their staff knows nothing.(«whats an external hard drive? We have laptops you want a lap top go talk to bill») If you ask for something they will tell you if you don’t see it we don’t have it, BUT I DON’T KNOW WHERE YOU WOULD HAVE IT SO I COULD SEE IT!!!
The store is tiny and if you do manage to find something it will be $ 5 – 10 over their web price, their store quoted price from the web site and any other Best Buy price, maybe the manager is skimming.
The staff wants nothing to do with you and I think its time that I stop going to this Best Buy because they are horrible.

I’ve gotten SOME good help here, but it’s few and far between. However, not every employee is a total dodo, so those select few save one additional star on this review.
Everything else here stinks. Pee — yew.
Worn down, old, dark atmosphere. Hard to get help when you need it, or the item you want when you want it (netbooks and smaller laptops, specifically).
Brought my computer here for software service (viruses, wah.), and was told I need a whole new hard drive (!!!). Stupid.
Went to pick up said computer. Second person in line, TEN people behind the counter chatting with each other or staring off into space, no help offered. Man comes out from back of Geek Squad, offers help to group in front of me, who says they are already being helped. Man does not even notice me and walks away. I ask the other tech if I can get some help and he says, «yah, in a minute». I tell him that another tech just checked if this group needed help and he says, «yah, he’s off the clock now». UGH!
Finally get my computer, and I’m told there’s some confusion about the fee I need to pay for my new hard drive. Oh, did I mention I said NO to the hard drive?
Another wait, fee resolved. Get. Me. Out. Of. Here.
Danvers & Everett are both way better. Don’t waste your time here.

While this Best Buy may not be the biggest it is definitely the friendliest and the most helpful of Best Buys in the area. They answer the phone every time. The lines are always short. The mobile center is AMAZING! I really wanted to pre order my iPhone 5 yesterday but I felt sick to my stomach about calling BB Danvers to see what the deal was. Then I remembered Saugus BB mobile was awesome because I had bought my boyfriends phone here. I called, had all my questions answered, went in, no line, someone came up to me to see if I needed help in under a minute. I seriously love this place! If you just need something that every BB will have go here. If you need a larger BB with all the glimmer go to Portsmouth, NH. These 2 locations are what keep me a BB silver rewards customer!

Worst Customer Service on the planet!
I know that’s going a bit too far, but read on:
Little back story: I do not shop, I buy. I hardly ever go in stores: mostly everything is on the Internet and I order everything online and have it shipped to my door.
Christmas Eve: I need a gift card for my godfather. I walk into Best Buy and I’m unsure if I can get a gift card at the register or at a seperate customer service desk — again, I never go into stores and I’m ignorant of the process, I admit it!
Anyway, I figure I’ll ask someone who works here. I stop a grungy, unshaved, unkempt haired, pudgy little fidget in a Best Buy shirt (if he wasn’t here he’d be camped out on the Rose Kennedy Greenway), and I ask: «excuse me, sir, can I ask you a question?» And this Pat-​from-​Saturday-​Night-​Live lookalike has the BALLS to say, «it all depends, is your question going to be long?»
WHAT!
My reply was simple, «oh, I’m sorry, I’d rather not disturb you. I’ll ask someone else. Thanks.»
In short, I got the gift card from the register and the guy and the girl up front were very nice, but still, F this place.

Why does this place only have 2 – 3 registers open on Black Friday?

After driving from Florida to Massachusetts and having our GPS freeze every 15 miles we decided to head to Best Buy for an exchange. We brought the device, accessories and extended warranty paperwork expecting to go through a big to-​do exchange process. We took everything to the customer service counter and briefly waited. The customer service rep quickly assessed the situation and set us up for an exchange. We were in and out with no problems!

I prefer to use best buy for large item purchases. Their warrenty plans are amazing. I get them with all my big purchases. I am only giving them 3 stars because I feel like you always need to wait to get help at this location. Always waiting and not getting anywhere and need to look for someone to help you out.

Due to a catastrophic accident with my roommate’s laptop, we went over to the local Best Buy to replace it with the same laptop model. We get there, find the model we want, locate it in the locked cabinets and wait. And wait. And wait some more. What should have been a 5 minute visit was 45 minutes. We only got greeted in the last 10 minutes of the visit. The laptop dept was very busy, and management staffed it with a whole 2 associates. Thus, due to poor customer service and a distinct lack in planning, we will not be going back here, nor giving this store any of our money.

HORRIBLE.
While visiting my mother this past week her 1980’s metallic power strip shit the bed so, we headed down to the Square One Best Buy to grab a new one.
Now I have heard several horror story’s about Best Buy, but never quite believed them until last week.
We arrived at the store and began to search for power strips. After a minute or two of searching I decided to just ask an employee where they were kept. I approached a middle aged man (can’t remember his name) who claimed to be a supervisor. He promptly took us to the aisle where the strips were located. I thanked him and instead of getting the message and leaving he picked up a $ 59 dollar power strip. All we needed was a $ 12 Dynex strip nothing fancy. I again thanked him and told him that we were all set with the cheaper model.
He again, didn’t get the hint. The hint that I knew what I wanted and did not need his help. The «supervisor» turned to my mother and asked her which appliances we would be plugging into the strip. A Plasma TV, cable box and DVD player. The supervisor told my mother that the model I had chosen would not work and break her TV… lying right to her face. I called him on his bull and he informed me that I had no idea what I was talking about and that I should mind my business because he was not speaking to me.
I know I should have left right then and there, but we needed the strip.
I picked up the model I wanted and headed with my mom to the registers. He followed. Yes… he followed us. When we got to the register he used his «supervisor powers» and relived the cashier, so he could ring us out.
I was paying for the $ 12 item with my credit card. He completed the sale, I signed for my purchase and was ready to go. After everything was completed the dude asked for my ID. I only brought my card with me and by this time my mother had already headed out to the car. The man refused to let me leave with my purchase. I couldn’t believe it. Naturally I was pissed. I informed him that it was a violation of Best Buy’s agreement with MasterCard to even ask me for my ID. He didn’t seem to care. He had to process a return and lost the sale all because I didn’t buy what he told me too.
They say that Best Buy employee’s don’t work on commission so, I don’t get what this guy’s problem was. The fact that he followed us to the register was really creepy too. Needless to say I won’t be shopping there again.
