Meet the Manager
Steve G.
Manager
2011 will mark Steve’s tenth season with the Grizzlies and fourth season as the Gateway Grizzlies GM. Steve most recently served as the Assistant General Manager since 2003. He began with the Grizzlies in 2002 as an account executive, before taking over Ticket Operations for the club. Steve is a Belleville, IL native and a graduate of Althoff Catholic High School, where he returned to teach chemistry in 2001. Previously, he has worked for Tri-Corp Management (TGIFridays) as a bartender, accountant and manager. He has also run promotions for Tricorp and Cochrane Enterprises. You could say baseball is in Steve’s blood; his great uncle was Yankee great Hank Bauer. Steve and his wife Amy have a four-year old daughter Avery and a two-year old son Bo. The family resides in Belleville.
