We and our dinner companions had a terrific meal at The Pig earlier this evening. My Sesami/Wasabe Yellowfin Tuna was perfection and the sides –waffle fries and Asian slaw– were delicious and complimented the tuna beautifully. Our friends loved their burgers as much as my husband loved his pulled pork sandwich. The desserts were wonderful. The waitress misunderstood my husband’s dessert order, so comped him the dessert that she had mistakenly thought that he had ordered. So: great food, great service, great vibe. I’m sorry we did not check this place out sooner! We will be returning in the near future.

My group had an absolutely wonderful meal here after a less than satisfactory time at Rock the Casba just around the corner. Our server was amazing and informative, guiding us to the best of the best on the menu. I have rarely had a better dining experience.

Hands down, one of the best burgers in Saugerties. You can also catch a late meal here. They serve until 12:45am. You cannot beat that. The fish and chips aren’t too bad either.

We got here around midnight on a Sunday while back from cliff diving at Fawn’s Leap! Needed to find a place to eat and this place was the only place that served u till late! Was a wonderful find for us because it had a lil bit of everything! Bar feeling, with pool and darts! Then we placed our order for food and it was pretty good considering the time of the day! Bartender looked very tired probably coz it was already end of the night but she was very accomodating with everything! No complaints at all. Was able to pull a smile on her when I jokingly made a goodnight greeting on a continuous mode! Wonderful place! Not to forget the pool games we won to the locals! Yeahh

Fabulous food and drinks. Dessert was phenomenal. Like most of the restaurants in Saugerties, this was another winner! Everything was great from the service to the atmosphere! My only regret is that we waited until we were moving out of the area to try it! But it gives us a good reason to go back and visit often!

The Pig is so much better than I expected. And if you’re not a meat eater, don’t despair… the same great burgers come in veggie burgers.

I was always told great things about this place and finally checked it out. But boy do I wish I hadn’t. We had a party of 6, which meant there would be a wait. The party before us was seated and after a wait of over thirty minutes two tables were pushed together for the party of six. I would have written a better review if we in fact were seated, and served but the wait staff opted to tell us we would have to wait longer for our table because«a family came in and the children are getting restless». We left and went elsewhere. Needless to say this was a waste of my time and I will never be returning. i wish there were an option for zero stars. The food may be good, but I’ll never know because the waitstaff, more so the waitress/server with the tattoos was about as inconsiderate and unprofessional as it gets.

I love the pig! Good times, good people, great service. Their pool table is somehow always open when I need it, and there’s always someone to talk to. The chef is on top of the food, great quality, great presentation. The brandy fired chicken and shrimp is sooo good! Burger night surprises me every time, $ 5 burgers on Wednesdays how can you beat that! $ 5 martinis on Mondays! Come join us!

We were traveling through the area and upon the recommendation of a local resident we met while parking our car, we visited the pig for dinner. Upon walking in, we noticed that it looks«old school» as in, it’s not trying to be old school w/the embossed ceiling paneling, it is literally, old school. However, it did appear to be clean. The bartender told us to sit where we wanted, and we both ordered the burger, which came highly recommended. I like how the burger came with so much stuff on it, and it tasted great. The recommendation was correct. T The only negative thing I can say, which may be a positive depending on how you look at it, is that the food took a LONNNNGG time to arrive. This may be attributed to the fact that there was no server and only 1 bartender who was serving everyone, OR the fact that the food is freshly cooked and that takes time. Its why I took off a star, otherwise I would highly recommend the pig for a great burger!

My girlfriend and I ended up here after being turned away from Miss Lucy because we didn’t have a reservation, despite being informed we couldn’t make one. I am SO happy we ended up The Pig. Their food is excellent, which you wouldn’t necessarily know given the low-key visual appearance of the menu and drinks list. We got the mussels, Salmon with dill cream sauce, wasabi sesame crusted tuna, and sides of mac ‘n cheese, salad, spinach, and brown rice. The mussels were tender and juicy with a nice kick of garlic included in their prep. The salmon was cooked perfectly right at medium, and the cream sauce kept the fish tender and juicy with a nice tang. The tuna was something else. I was a bit hesitant being so far upstate, but the wasabi coating provided a great nose-heat on top of a great(and large) cut of fish. The macaroni had an crispy crust on top, the spinach was sautéed in garlic and maintained a bit of crunch, overall I was extremely impressed. At one point a cook came out to ask us how the food was and I’m kicking myself for complimenting him more. We got out of here with a ton of food a couple drinks for under $ 100, what a fantastic hole-in-the-wall find.

Stumbled upon this little gem on a spur of the moment jaunt to the area. Super cute interior. Warm friendly service. Vintage feel. Pool table and darts. Full bar. Good food. I would come back for sure.

Stopped in on the way back to Long Island for a quick dinner Saturday night. Shared the Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato and Basil with my 9 year old daughter. It was the freshest, softest and most delicious mozz I’ve ever had. My burger was among the best I’ve ever had as well. Juicy and cooked to perfection. My daughter’s Mac and Cheese was gourmet. Cooked to perfection with a crisp breadcrumb coating on top. Again, among the best I’ve had. Even the fries were great. Server was wonderful, too! Highly recommended place in a really great little town, Saugerties, NY!!! #hudsonvalley

Stopped in last night around 10 pm after hiking, as it was pretty much the only place still serving food. The server was very nice. I ordered a burger and it was quite good. It was actually cooked medium just how I ordered it. They offered Cabot habanero cheddar for the burger, which was awesome since that’s my favorite cheese! The onion rings were also delicious. I liked that they offered various sides including mac & cheese and spinach, so you have a variety. I also loved the coleslaw, it was spicy and seemed to have sriracha in it. Overall, a nice little place.

Food is way too salty. The first time I thought it was a fluke. However, it was just as absurdly salty the second time. Nice ambiance, mediocre to poor food, good service. Nice place for a beer but fuel up elsewhere before hand. And yes, the burgers are Lilliputian. If your a BK native like me, you’ll welcome the familiarity of stained wood and tin ceilings. For eats go across the street to Fez. For beer and chillaxing cross back over to the Pig.

Great service and a friendly atmosphere! My friend had the hamburger and she loved it. She said it was small, but tasty. I had the quesadillas, they were good too, not too spicy. Nice for a quick bite. It reminded me of a neighborhood bar.

We ordered a burger covered with cheese, mushrooms, and onions as well as the portabella, goat cheese, and spinach quesadilla. They’re open 7 days a week 4p-midnight. The burger was the smallest I’ve ever seen! It had the smallest piece of cheese, about 3 slivers of onions, and about 3 pieces of bacon about an inch long. The quesadilla was barely pan-seared and bland.

The Pig has really good food, a nice bar with 5 kinds of Tequila(that’s what I drink) and a nice inexpensive $ 1 late night menu. There aren’t many places in Saugerties to get a late meal, and as I often work late, I’ve gotten a few 10PM dinners and been really pleased. I had roasted ½ chicken with smashed yukon gold potatoes and roasted beets. it was so good I ordered it again the next time. need I say more? I think most people don’t know the Pig has really good food. It does– worth trying!
