This is the real deal, not a canned tourist attraction. Captain Mort is a true year-​round sailor, he really knows his sailboat, and he shaped the cruise to our adventure level. It is rare anymore to find something that’s an authentic experience. So glad we went sailing.
The boat is so lovely when the wind fills the sails and you go skimming over the water. It gave us a whole new perspective to see the horizon and the shore in the distance. Sweetwater Sailing made our Michigan vacation really special.
If you go, which I recommend, you might want to bring a camera. It looks like tropical paradise out on the blue waves. Your favorite beverage doesn’t hurt either (wink).

Blue water, gorgeous coastline, wind in the sail… it seems like the Caribbean but it is sailing
with Captain Mort on Drifter out on Lake Michigan! Captain Mort is experienced and
loves the sport of sailing. He makes the most out of any wind conditions on your trip.
Relax and enjoy, get away from it all. His location on the river in Saugatuck is very close to
the channel going out into Lake Michigan. He has been chartering out of Saugatuck for many
years, and now he has a new boat and location.
