History

Established in 2003.

We purchased this business from the Westerman family in late 2003. We made a good store better continuing the tradition of great service and tons of knowledge to help every customer who walks through the door feel good about their purchases and know that we truly want to help them make their homes and gardens be the best they can be. Over the past 6 years we have improved the store by updating product lines and choices and added side businesses like O guage and HO guage toy trains by MTH and Lionel, Carports and Sheds and the rental business.

Mike has been in the hardware business for over 30 years going to work with his father in his store as a boy– soaking up all the knowledge he had. Even at Penn State while he studied business, Mike worked at the hardware store in Happy Valley. Mike does a radio show on KDKA radio Saturday mornings called The Truevalue Home improvement Hour. You will find him at the store 6 days a week smiling and ready to help!
