Yoshida R Brian, DMD

We love Dr. Brian Yoshida and his very kind and capable staff. My daughter has gone there for perhaps 10 years and now at 18 still prefers to see him (not an adult dentist). He got us through injuries, cleaning braces, cavities, all of it. He’s fabulous with all patients and makes it fun and safe for even very timid kids. He always explains to the parents exactly what their child needs to focus on in terms of dental care and schedules the necessary full head x-​rays and orthodonture work when the time comes. The ladies in the office are very kind and I love the phone call reminders from a real person. They also understand that kids are kids so if you need to reschedule it’s no big deal. The office even has an Xbox for the kids to play with as they’re waiting and a toy box and stickers for the younger kids. This small dental practice is the real deal and I am grateful to them for the great care that they gave us over the years.

I had a wonderful teeth cleaning yesterday, as always! Love the staff and the ‘clean teeth feel’ every time I leave! Very comforting and quick experience so that I’m not there longer than needed. A+

Dr Yoshida has been seeing my son for 14 years. He is excellent. My son has never had a cavity. He is so patient and caring. He does an exceptional job. Everyone in his practice is professional and pleasure to work with. He takes the time to explain everything and is very conscientious.

What a gem! Doctor Yoshida is a warm, caring, conservative, and highly skilled professional. He is great with your kids; and they love him too! As a dentist, he is very knowledgable, takes time to explain treatment options, and intervenes with the most conservative, minimally invasive solution. Truly deserves each of his 5 stars!!!

I’m so grateful that I have found Dr. Yoshida. I been struggling for the past 3 years to find a dentist who doesn’t use general anesthesia with kids and try to work with them. I been to maybe 5 dentists and all they wanted to do is to put her to sleep and non of them was able to do X-​ray, but our first visit with DR. Yoshida was magical he introduced himself to my daughter and made her feel safe and she cooperated easily for X-​Ray and he did a check up and took his time with me to explain her situation and what needs to be done in the following appointment. I’m so happy to say that Dr. Yoshida is an awesome dentist who takes his time with children and does what is best for your child, and my daughter did even better for her second appointment and when we went home she was excited and now she insists on brushing her teeth and she even cut back on her candy. Dr. Yoshida has a great way working with children and I’m referring my whole family to him, and let’s not forget he has the best staff ever, you feel like everyone understand you without judgment.

I highly recommend Dr. Yoshida. My children (age 14 and 16) have been with Dr. Yoshida more than 10 years. Now I am also a patient because he is the best dentist I have ever come across.
My children never had a single cavity or any other problem with their teeth thanks to his care and expertise. I really appreciate his time and patience explaining to the children and me the changes they are experiencing and how to best take care of their teeth — he even draws pictures to illustrate. I am now switching to Dr. Yoshida because I had a terrible dentist and Dr. Yoshida saved me from a big mistake. He is nice, honest, skilled, super knowledgeable and really cares about his patients and their teeth. Also, he recommended Dr. Kinoshita as my daughter’s orthodontist and he is a true master. I am very happy to be in such good hands.

I am 25 years old and have only gone to Dr. Brian. I have no plans to change anytime soon. The staff is always amazing and very nice. Even though I only see them twice a year, they always seem to remember what is going on with my life and treat me as if I am a close friend they see all the time. Dr. Brian is very straight foreword as well. Now that I am older, if he notices a fault in my dental hygiene habits he will comment on them and show me a way to better them. Also as a kid, going through that prize box after check ups was the best. I definitely recommend him and when I start a family will send my children to him as well.

My 2 boys have been seeing Dr. Yoshida for 10+ years. Dr. Yoshida always takes the time to review the X-​rays, and to discuss with us what to anticipate based on the teeth growth pattern. Our family dentist referred us to Dr. Yoshida as my son was too young at the time and would not sit still. Dr. Yoshida was able to get my son to cooperate.
The office is not flashy state-​of-​the art, but I like the personable feel. If you have been to offices with assembly-​line style, you will know what I mean. My older son is 18+ years old, and still sees Dr. Yoshida.

Truly an excellent doctor for little children
My husband and I are faithful about going to the dentist every 6 months. We are big believers in preventative care for staying fit and healthy. When my 4 year old started with loose teeth I asked for a recommendation from my dentist, and they recommended Dr. Yoshida. We went for her appointment and both my daughter and I were nervous. I didn’t know what to expect and didn’t know how I would deal with it if she was upset or terrified. Luckily, we had a very positive experience and my daughter left feeling proud of herself and happy.
The whole process didn’t take more than a half hour. She had X-​rays (4) and then the doctor did an exam of her teeth, a cleaning and flossing. Before he did anything, he showed us the instruments, let her touch them so she knew what they felt like, and told her exactly what he was going to do. He was very patient and gentle, and my daughter did just fine. I sat close by the entire time so she had me near. After we finished, my daughter picked out some toys from the treasure box while the doctor showed me her x-​rays and explained what he saw. He was very encouraging and his recommendations made sense.
We will be happily be returning to Dr. Yoshida for the next several years. I’m so pleased that my daughter now has set the foundation for a lifetime of positive visits to the dentist.

Unfortunately, my experience is that this dentist office is quite expensive when I compare my son’s dental bills to that of my own or my husband’s dental bills for just your basic cleaning. I never realized it before but I was paying 54% more for son’s cleanings.
My child has been going to Dr. Yoshida for a few years now and he is nice enough. He has a good demeanor and is friendly and all. However, to charge your patients what they do is pretty dissappointing. Especially because their office is nothing special. They have your basic equipment: nothing state-​of-​the-​art. Which is why I don’t fully understand the hefty charges. I wish I realized what I was being charged sooner as I would have switched dentists sooner. I just never paid attention.
We also recently found out that upon the recommendation of Dr Yoshida, a couple of years ago, to put temporary composites on my child’s molars, we found out (from the new dentist) that the composites were put in so poorly that they left pockets underneath where cavities were starting to form. We were able to see this through the xrays that the new dentist took. Had Dr. Yoshida never recommended putting these composites in or at least putting them in correctly, we wouldn’t now be faced with having to deal with correcting the issue and having to foot the bill for something that could have been completely avoided — as if putting those composites in in the first place wasn’t expensive enough!

Dr. Brian is a great great great dentist and I owe him my lovely teeth.
It was definitely a sad day when I got a job and changed insurance so I couldn’t come here anymore. I still get postcards asking me to make an appointment though which makes me even sadder. :(
Anyway, he’s a great dentist (especially for children) but will accept older patients like I was. Funny that one time I was in the office for my checkup and noticed how all the patients were little kids. I felt like Ross in Friends when he’s caught going to his childhood doctor. But I asked one of the dental assistants if I was the oldest patient and she said that they take people who are in their 40s and 50s even because they feel so comfortable with Dr. Brian!
Everyone in the office is amazingly accommodating and I would definitely recommend coming here.
He is incredibly friendly and caring. I never got a cavity! I went through getting braces, wisdom teeth and everything! He recommended great orthodontists and oral surgeons to do the job.
Ooh, and free sugarless gum and toys for kids after your checkup!
