Overdue review…
Lisa did my hair/​makeup for my wedding in 2010 and she did a fantastic job!
I decided last minute to do something completely different with my hair from my trial, and she was so accommodating and did an amazing job. Hair and makeup both stayed put all day, and I was so happy with the result.

I have been going to Lisa for years and she has always been great. The final product is always what I ask for and she always listens to what I want done. Lisa is very flexible with scheduling, which is very important for us working professionals. I would highly recommend Lisa to anyone!

I’ve been to Lisa Strutz twice now – the first time for a cut, the second time for cut and color.
Lisa is sweet, professional, and does an amazing job.
I have thick hair and I’ve had a slough of terrible «first dates» with stylists who’ve done everything from giving me a mohawk to frosting my hair to using such terrible smelling products on me that I threw up mid-​hair cut. Traumatic.
Lisa is totally with it. She’s creativeand has great ideas (if you you are open to that). She definitely knows how to cut thick hair and I am so happy with the low lights she did on me this last time!
Did I mention she is super sweet? I would HIGHLY recommend her.

Lisa is fantastic. I had her for my hair and makeup for my wedding last weekend, along with hair and makeup for my bridal party and my mom. I don’t usually wear very heavy makeup, so I wanted my makeup to be subtle but beautiful. I also didn’t want super curls or the typical bridal look for my hair, or for any of the girls or my mom for that matter. Lisa did everything perfectly, and needless to say I received many compliments on my wedding day! She listens really well to what her clients want, which was really important to me since none of my girls enjoy wearing a lot of makeup either. My mom also looked like a million dollars! I can’t wait until the photos come back!
I know Lisa is really busy right now doing fashion makeup so I’m not sure if she’ll be doing much more wedding makeup this year, but if she is, I highly recommend her!

The hair & make-​up was phenomenal and looked stunning like a movie star as my mother in law would say, but natural at the same time. I got so many complements on my make-​up, and I am also so glad I went with airbrush because it was a little warm that day. I have to say I also debated on spend the money on all of my bridal party, but I knew we would all have those pictures forever! It was absolutey worth it! Lisa and her assitant were also right on time, professional, and she kept good email communication with me on our timeline for planning — a must have a for a smooth wedding day.

For all the brides to me, I had tried a few other places between me and my bridal party (WowPretty — felt like I looked like a clown, Bloom — didn’t put primer on, so I had creases shortly after the application and they were slow with communication and initially cancelled my initial 2 months planned in advance session until I complained because my engagement photo session was that day, and Wendy Walter — liked her, but she didn’t do airbrush, and I knew I needed that for the weather and for beautiful photos/​no creases).

After dealing with a hair and make-​up «artiste» who never returned my e-​mails about trials and schedules, who’s car broke down, who’s computer’s mother-​board died, who’s cell-​phone got «stuck on mute» … a week before my wedding I had enough people and things to manage that I couldn’t take it anymore. I don’t care how good you are– I had had enough!
ENTER LISA STRUTZ!!!
She entered my wedding planning process a week before my date and what a breath of fresh air! I had the pleasure of working with Lisa on my wedding day and she is nothing short of spectacular. She is so easy to work with– attentive and accommodating– great communication and ran completely on schedule all day and with a smile on her face! I was more than happy with my hair and make up and the whole experience was delightful! I would recommend her 100 times over and will also be visiting her at her salon in Saratoga, Frankie Bella, whenever I need a cut or color!

If I had met Lisa in 2008, there is no doubt that I would have chosen her as my hair stylist for my wedding in 2009. I met Lisa through a photographer we both worked with — and I had asked the photographer for an introduction, as I admired Lisa’s work and was inspired by her images. Last weekend I’ve had the pleasure to work with Lisa. The bride’s up-​do really took my breath away. I’ve NEVER been happy with an up-​do on my own head, but finally seeing Lisa’s work in person, for the first time in my life I wished I did an up-​do for my wedding. Lisa is also super fast with the individual lash application technique. I’m really a makeup artist/​photographer, but watching Lisa style hair, for once I wished I could style hair! What can I say, Lisa REALLY inspired me as an artist last Saturday! :)
I don’t know what else to say other than if you are a bride, and you are looking for one of the best in the bay area, do yourself a favor and schedule a trial session with Lisa. I wish I did.

Lisa is a woman of many talents. I usually walk into Frankie Bella with a faint idea of what I want and let LIsa take charge. I always leave completely satisfied. Being a blonde, I have gone from bleach to a dirty blonde and never once left with a yellow shade, it is always very natural looking. She is amazing with color!
