Congregation Beth David is a conservative synagogue located in Saratoga. It’s a great place to attend Shabbat Services. Rabbi Daniel Pressman is extremely kind. Growing up in an interfaith family, I found it a bit of a challenge attending service here because the holy books are mostly in Hebrew and I was used the the holy books in the reform temples/​synagogues that had the English translations. I’ve had the pleasure of attending Shabbat Services and dinners at Congregation Beth David. If you’re of the Conservative Jewish faith this is a great place to attend services.

Our family joined Beth David because we had heard great things about the religious school, and it’s absolutely lived up to our expectations. It’s full-​featured with not only Hebrew and religious learning but also art, music, and dance.
The rabbis at Beth David are so inspiring, and we have found it a very welcoming place where we really feel a sense of belonging. It’s an active, vibrant community with programming and learning opportunities for just about everyone, and many ways to get involved.

My wife and I have been members of Congregation Beth David since 1978, and CBD and has become an important part of our lives. Beth David is a friendly welcoming place with great rabbis and lots of events & learning opportunities. Most of all CBD has given me many friends and a strong sense of community. I highly recommend Congregation Beth David for anyone looking to join a conservative synagogue.

I am a long-​time member of Beth David. One thing that I like is that Beth David is a truly welcoming place — people are friendly and there are activities targeting just about every age range and interest group. In particular, the religious school, pre-​K and family ed programs have all improved so much over the last decade that I now feel comfortable giving them a strong endorsement to friends who ask.
Another thing that I really like about Beth David is that the Rabbis, the Board and (most of) the congregation make a real effort to try to live their values. This is a place where being a good person counts more than how much money you make or how you dress. These are people that I feel I can turn to in a crisis (or simcha) and get genuine support.

For the first time I fill I am part of a jewish community where I won’t be judged on how I observed (or rather did not observe) in the past. And the kids like going too. They definitely have a lot to offer families.

As new transplants to the Bay Area we were so happy to find CBD! When we first attended I can’t tell you how many people walked up to welcome us because they didn’t recognize us! This made us feel so welcome and we love our new spiritual home. The rabbis are terrific, funny, energetic, passionate and wonderful human beings, real treaures! The congregants are friendly, pleasant, helpful, diverse, inclusive and everything you’d want from a spiritual congregation. I The programming is amazing too! If you are looking for a congregation that is very involved, very accepting, is focused on mitzvot and tikkun olam, this is your place! I love CBD!
