Purdy’s Discount Wines & Liquors

Very large wine and liquor selection. Although its not as large as Exit 9 Wine and Liquor (Purdys is still pretty big) I’ve found a better variety of liquors here. In my first trip there, I found a couple bottles that I had been looking for for years (and I’ve made special requests at other liquor stores). And to top it all off, the prices are pretty good too.

This is THE wine and liquor go to spot in Saratoga Springs. There is a massive inventory with quite the variety. The staff is extremely helpful and always available for questions. The price is always right and I have never left empty handed. :)

I did a double-​take about 30 seconds after I entered, walked to the back, and turned to my left. I had no idea just how huge this place is. It’s got all your standard liquors and liqueurs, but ohhhh the wine selection!!! It’s got just about everything you could imagine, nicely organized, and all at very reasonable prices. With the size and volume of its inventory, the staff are walking around constantly helping customers. When we inquired about a particular brand of wine which was not in stock, the gentleman who helped us pointed us to several very reasonable alternatives, and he was able to explain in straightforward terms what was different about each of the bottles he recommended, why you might want one over the other, etc. I was also pleased to find a large variety of selections from some of my favorite New York State wines, again at very reasonable prices. What a find!

Great place to pick the spirits before a party or a gathering. Haven’t been in years since i don’t live in Saratoga anymore, but i remember when the lady behind the counter would smile every friday afternoon i showed up. I forgot her name but she was helpful, energetic, sweet, and full of suggestions. I haven’t been to a liquor store with such a homely feel since…

I have to agree with Nick — this place is great.
I am big fan of bourbon, and they have my favorite here (Buffalo Trace) which is very hard to find in this area of the country.
The staff is extremely friendly and helpful — always willing to help you find or recommend something. Great prices and selection.

Best selection of wine and by far the best prices in Saratoga Springs.
Really nice staff who were quick with suggestions and had even tried the bottle I was considering. It can be overwhelming because of their stock so I was glad for the help.
