Specialties
I am a Priority Dealer for Hunter Douglas Blinds and Shades, (that makes me really knowlegeable about what I sell and install.) I also sell and install «American Made» hardwood shutters. I also specialize in designing fabric valances, draperies, pillows, cushions bed spreads and dust skirts. What makes me different is that I am a custom seamstress. Many of the things I design and sell start on my own cutting table with patterns I have made over 27 years.
History
Established in 1986.
The history is that my mother taught me to sew when I was 9 years old and I made my first dress. My father taught me how to operate power tools since he was a carpenter. After college I took a short detour as an Airline Stewardess, 20 years! Eventually I opened my own business designing and sewing custom window treatments. I also sell Hunter Douglas blinds, shutters and shades which can complete any custom window treatment.
Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner
I was educated as a high school sewing teacher. My mom taught me to sew when I was 9 and my father taught me carpentry and power tools.
My approach to business is to educate the homeowner about blinds, shutters and shades or draperies and valances. There are always pro’s and con’s to every window treatment. It is my job to give you the knowledge to make the right choice.
I offer the best blinds and shades, Hunter Douglas. I am a Certified Hunter Douglas Professional Priority Dealer.
When it comes to fabric window treatments, most are made in my own shop with patterns I’ve developed for 28 yr. Yes, I have been in business for 28 yrs.
My business name is Best Dressed Windows in town but I did not arrogantly choose that name for myself. The name was first given to me by my clients, then the newspaper did an article about me and my sewing and the article was titles, The Best Dressed Windows in Town!
