Salon Excel

Joane was very rude and cancelled my appointment twice. I let the owner Bobby know about it and it proceeded to say she is an independent contractor and she is entitled to do what she wants. In my opinion: it is poor treatment and terrible customer. Run from this salon if you expect good customer service and treatment.

As soon as I walked in the door the owner, Joanne Williams, greeted me with a warm and friendly smile. I had a keratin treatment, wash, cut and blow dry. My hair looks and feels amazing. It was such a delightful experience and I felt as if I had known Joanne for years. I highly recommend going here! Thank you… Denise:)

I visited this salon once and it will definitely be the last time. I came in with a groupon that promised me a haircut, deep-​conditioning treatment, and either a straightening iron or curling iron treatment. When I called to make my appointment the woman told me that since my hair was long she might have to charge me an extra $ 10. I thought this was reasonable, despite the fact that nowhere on the groupon terms it mentioned that hair length affected the promised services.
To start, she did a terrible job curling and cutting my hair. It came out completely uneven. Then when we were done, she was rushing me out because her next client was there and she was running behind. To top it off, she proceeded to tell me that she’d have to charge me an additional $ 30 because it took her so long and she was now behind on her other appointment…
Seriously?!
Why wouldn’t you say that before you started that it would definitely be more than an additional $ 10 or that she was short on time?
Terrible experience. Ended up having to wash my hair and redo it for a wedding that same evening because she sprayed so much hair spray in it and it looked terrible.
Definitely DO NOT recommend this salon.

Bobby is Awesome! He stays on top of trends and keeps my look fresh. There’s a Master Colorist on staff for when you want just the right touch of natural or funky color added.
I recommend him to my clients and make sure I book my next appointment before I leave. The Salon Excel secret is out and planning ahead is wise.

I have been a client of Bobby’s for 10 years. I have had my hair cut and colored while out of town vacationing and it is not the same. I have thick, coarse hair and he is a master at making my hair look great all the time… even in the Florida humidity. The staff is wonderful and they treat you like family.
Salon Excel is the best kept secret in Sarasota!
