Oddity On Main Tattoo Studio & Gallery

I got my first tattoo here after at least a year of debating whether or not to do it and what exactly I wanted. I looked at lots of places and decided on Oddity. All of the artists are crazy talented and the staff was super friendly and helpful. Because I wasn’t sure exactly what I wanted I emailed them two pages of pictures and inspirations and they set me up with the artist they thought would be best for me. The sketch he came up with was perfect and I LOVE my new tattoo.
If you’re like me, someone who had never ventured anywhere near a tattoo shop and was apprehensive about the whole thing, Oddity is the place to go. It’s clean, the atmosphere is bright and friendly, and the whole experience was better than I would have ever expected. If I ever get another one I won’t even have to think about where to go.

Sweet Tiph Flamel at the BeeRidge studio is a gem! She sketched out my idea after our consult visit, and it was perfect. Tried it on for size, and no revisions necessary ! Beautiful work… was done in just under 2 hrs. a true Artist, Tiph! Thank you ! (…also… studio is clean, relaxed, and just seem like a bunch of nice people, from the greeting of April at the front desk, to the artists background chit chat.)

Simply the best shop in town do not overthink it

By far this is the cleanest shop I’ve ever been in.

Dave took my ideas and designed a tattoo exactly what I was looking for.

A group of us all got somewhat matching tattoos. They were so flexible and kind. This was such a momentous occasion that the staff only enhanced our experience. We went to the one on Bee Ridge and Typh and David– both were amazing. We kind of took over the shop while we were in there so it was awesome that they were so patient with us. Some artist make you feel weird or are a bit stand offish– not the case at all here. The shop is the cleanest I have ever been to or seen. It is very open and the décor isn’t overwhelming. The bathroom is gorgeous. I don’t know why that stood out for me but it did. It was so clean. I guess if they take care of their bathrooms they must take care of the rest of the place. And they do. Our tattoos were small so they took maybe 5 – 10 mins each. They are so clean that it took them longer to set up and clean up then the actual tattoos. The artist were funny, welcoming, and kind. I will go back for every tattoo and will only send people there from now on.

Amazing experience everytime. Very cool atmosphere, very friendly artists. We never felt rushed or undermined when talking about your tat. It’s where my family goes, although this was my first it was my sisters 10^th and brothers 3^rd tattoo and everytime we come back. Great place.

Typh at the bee ridge location made a special appointment for us on Christmas Day to accommodate our schedule. The store was opened just for us!
As in other reviews, the store was immaculate, great music and Typh is one hell of an artist. Attention to detail, exceptional design and totally a pleasure to spend time with. We would highly recommend Typh and oddity. We would post photos of the tattoos, but since they are original art designed and done by Typh, we will only do so with her permission.

Really happy my friend and I planned an impromptu trip to Sarasota! While we were driving up we decide we would get tattoos and we stumbled upon Oddity. Everyone was really friendly and they managed to squeeze us in last minute. Nate & Megan did an awesome job and we’re both really happy with our first tattoos! If I ever wanted another, I’d definitely make the drive back up to Sarasota! (:

The service was highly professional, extremely hygienic. The entire staff was super friendly. The owner was on the premises and reviewed every tattoo before it left the shop. No rock star egos, just quality work in a very comfortable environment. Kim Albers was the artist that worked on me. He has a comfortable hand and is a really great guy and artist. I would go back to the shop and Kim (I’m from L.A.) Please know the shop I went to was the second shop near Siesta Keys, not the Main Street shop.

This place is top of the line! Very clean, very professional, and EXTREMELY good art work. I saw Jesse benson and he made it a great experience and did a phenomenal job with the art work. I 100% recommend this to anyone looking in the area, you won’t be disappointed! A++++

I really, really enjoyed the experience I had being tattooed here. I’d never been tattooed before, and my tattoo isn’t that small; about the size of a man’s palm. Matt Helmer was incredibly communicative with me before my appointment because I live in another state, and was visiting; he sent me several sketches and then we reviewed a finalized one before we began.
This was my first tattoo, so I have no comparison, but it was really a pleasant experience overall; everyone was very friendly and answered my questions, and despite the post-​tattoo high (endorphins, let me tell you) they made sure I had what I needed going forward to care for it.
The tattoo is now about six weeks old, and it’s beautiful; fully healed and absolutely gorgeous. I will absolutely be going back the next time I’m in Florida.

My wife and daughter got tattoos at Oddity. Both have multiple tattoos and were very happy with the work done by Jesse. Luckily we stopped in on our first day of vacation or else they wouldn’t have gotten in. This shop appears to be very busy so getting a time reserved was very important. Highly recommend!

If you live in Sarasota and want a tattoo this should be the first place you look at. Clean, professional and talented. Friendly people who love what they do. Will Ralston drew up a piece for me and he took my ideas and put then on paper and made them better than I imagined. Hands down the best shop in Sarasota/​manatee county if not in the entire state. Highly recommend anyone to schedule a consultation.

Have always heard good things about the artists and shop, unfortunately our experience was not so good. Me and a friend waited almost 2 hrs past our scheduled appointment to get in the chair for a simple tattoo that didn’t take more than 30 minutes. Once mine was done it took our artist another 45 minutes to get my friend set up and then advised her to put Vasoline on it once she got home. Now I’m no expert but I do believe that Vasoline has too much oil in it and absorbs the fresh ink which leaves a very faded tattoo. First and last time going to Odditty, should of known better.

I had a tattoo done a couple of weeks ago by Kim. He did an awesome job of designing my tat. Took a few hours do which was expected but came out beautiful. Also want to give KUDDOS to him for being honest. I gave him 100.00 to much and he called me later that night to let me know. That doesn’t happen very often anymore and I wanted u all to know what an honest person he is. Thanks Kim for such a great job !!!

A class place! CLEAN! Just as it should be. Scott Olive did my art and you couldn’t ask for a better guy to deal with. Very accommodating to those of us who are detail oriented and can be a pain in the ass. Looking forward to Scott finishing my bottom sleeve. He’s on the west coast of FL while I’m on the east coast and he is worth the hours of driving to get the quality I’m after. Scott, you ROCK!
The shop is more like a gallery than a tattoo place. Feels upscale (and the artwork shows it), but are priced fair. This is a kind of place you’d take somebody who isn’t into ink just to see the approving look on their face when they leave. All custom work here. No scratch artists slinging ink here. Go on their website to see their original artwork, very cool. Better yet, any time you’re near Sarasota, take some time to visit, you’ll be pleased.
Remember, that ink you’re about to put on your skin is permanent, you owe it to yourself to visit a shop like Oddity Tattoo.

Strongly suggest making an appointment. They do take walk-​ins, but remember, these are artists and depending on what you want understandably they’re not just sitting around waiting for YOU to walk in. Always respect your artist and their time, you’ll be glad you did.

This place is great! They always do an amazing job. I currently live in CA and I fly back to FL whenever I want to get tattoos. The shop is really clean and everyone is super helpful. Some say it’s pricey, I say it’s worth it.
Travis is incredible! Book your appointment far in advance though, he’s usually always booked. Matt Helmer is my go to guy. He is a really talented artist, especially if your looking for something original and you’re a fan of horror tattoos. Matt is your guy!
