Great service, tasty food, great prices. Even has a mini European grocery store and deli inside the café as a bonus. We’ll be back for more !!!

I looked for a true Hungarian restaurant in Sarasota, found this place, my hopes of having home made Hungarian cooking was not answered. We tried 2 different dishes, both were fair. We will not be back, maybe this is a polish version of Hungarian cooking, our search continues, I grew up in a Hungarian community and this is nothing like home.

Very good food and friendly staff! The hardest part is only selecting one thing to eat. Will have to come back and keep trying new things. There is also a store with European foods attached to the restaurant. You can find many candies, pirogies, etc. We had the Hungarian breakfast sandwich and a cup of Hungarian goulash. Highly recommend them both! Finom!

I want to start off with saying I have never walked out of a restaurant in my life. That being said the costumer service was that bad. My friend is Hungarian and was excited to take me here. I’d barley call this a restaurant more of a carry out place with some self seating tables. The menu was a mix of subway style sandwiches, gyros and about 2 – 3 Hungarian dishes. This rating is solely based off the atmosphere and costumer service. Our server was very unpolished and lacking good hygiene. She seemed annoyed to answer the two menu questions we asked and was very short with her responses. When I ordered the chicken cutlet she stated that it would take a long time as if she was persuading me not to order it. Her entire demeanor was rude and short. When we asked for an extra minute to review the menu she stated that she had a party coming in an hour and a half and did not offer any recommendations to help us speed up the ordering. I will not be back. At such a small establishment you should know the type of employees you are hiring. Usually mom and pop shops are the most welcoming and accommodating this one could use some help.

Discovered this treasure while walking to our most excellent Thai place for dinner — and vowed to return for breakfast. Great decision! Greeted by a lovely Polish woman who sweetly explained each delightful pastry or dish that was unfamiliar to us. I had a Polish Breakfast Sandwich of sausage and egg on Kaiser roll($ 4) and my companion had an omelette of 3 eggs with grilled veggies($ 6.5). Excellent Espresso Italiano($ 1.65) and beautiful Espresso Macchiato($ 1.85). Charming décor and seating inside and outside. Yummy house made desserts! We had fabulous Apple Cake($ 3.25) and«just like grandmother’s» Plum Cake($ 3.25). There is deli with Polish, Hungarian, Croatian, Czech, and German products, fresh bread daily, European beer and wine, and free Wi-Fi. I am bringing a different friend for breakfast tomorrow. Can hardly wait!

Excellent food and very friendly staff. I have had great experiences both on the restaurant side and the deli side. For dinner, I had the chicken paprikash and a nice dark beer. For lunch on a different day, I had the Philly cheese steak AKA the«Eric Special». If you’re looking for authentic Hungarian & European cuisine, this is the real deal!

This place is off the beaten track on the way to Sarasota beach. Authentic Eastern European food. Had the stuffed cabbage with beet salad, Pierogis and coffee. A little disorganized but well worth the stop.

We drove by this place and vouched to come back just to try it – today, we did and I couldn’t be happier. I’m Ukranian so this sort of food is like a slice of heaven for me. My mom had the stuffed cabbage and mashed potatoes, while I enjoyed the borsch and pierogies. The borsch was okay, but not a favorite. The pierogies were awesome and my mom loved her stuffed cabbage and potatoes. We also had coffee and dessert which tasted as real to Italian as you can get outside of Italy. Oh, and the best part? – the prices! Very affordable, delicious, and friendly. We will definitely be back.

Excellent authentic Hungarian food! Visited from DC area where we don’t have any Hungarian restaurants so it was a treat, even visited 2 days in a row! If you don’t know what to order, then I highly recommend my favorite, chicken paprikas.

Here on vacation and we wanted a deli sandwich for lunch and found this place on Unilocal.Authentic Hungarian food(and staff) with not so crazy deli sandwiches for those who might be afraid to try something different. I got the Chicken Parikash. It was amazing. The most tender chicken ever(no knife needed), awesome homemade noodles, in a to-die-for sauce. The espresso was extremely high quality. My husband got the chicken gyro and said it was pretty tasty. Cool little market and meat cases, but we didn’t really take a look at it all. I highly recommend this place!

I LOVE this place. It’s on my way back from Albrighten Fruit on Proctor Rd where I get my groceries and Milk. I was so happy I had found this little treasure. They serve Hungarian and Polish food right inside like a small café, or you may sit outdoors, they have a couple of tables outside. They have Polish Cold Cuts, sausage, if you are looking for smalec and skwarkis, or slonina they have it too. They have Chicken Paprikash, Pierogis, Golabkis and so many wonderful dishes to take home if it’s hot outside and you don’t feel like cooking. The food is divine and very authentic. I highly recommend it.

Really glad we stopped by. Nice people and a quaint European atmosphere. Lots of tasty food to take home. Great offerings for lunch as well. We bought a bunch of stuff to take home for dinner later. Love the pirogues– especially the potato and cheese. Polish sausage very good as were the stuffed peppers. They also offer some great sandwiches served hot in addition to many hot lunch options at very reasonable prices
