Doug’s Pool Service

Sorry doug that you have amnesia, but my home was in Bradenton. I do not have any personal interests in your business but I am and was a dissatisfied customer, not just in your work but more importantly your customer service response to address the problem I had. I don’t take time out of my day to bash a company, if you look at my Unilocal acct this is the only bad review I have ever put on here. Good luck to you and the only advice I will give you is listen to your customer and address the situation professionally don’t stick your head in the sand and act like it doesn’t exist.

I called Doug’s because we had purchased a foreclosure home and the pool had been unused for over 2 years. It actually had fish in it and boards over it. Our contractor hired another pool company initially to clean it and acid wash it – They could not get out the stains. For 2 months we tried everything. The pool company said the stains were all the way through the marcite and they could not be removed.
I was prepared to resurface it, so I called for some prices and one of the places i called was Doug’s. Doug answered and told me he would look at it. He told me that he thought he could bring it back without resurfacing — i had heard this from others. Although, he seemed very knowledgeable and told me that he would even do some test areas for me FREE of charge. I agreed. So, he returned the next day, tested it and he showed some great results using the methods he said he would.
He told me he would acid wash it – cheaper than the first company — and he told me he would work at it and do his best. He sent Jose 2 days later. Jose was as nice as Doug (even brought Little Jose, his son who was very nice as well) So, he drained the pool and Jose cleaned that pool like a Champion — every single stain WAS GONE! The pool looks BRAND NEW. They saved me $ 5000 and I could not be happier. I hired them for ongoing service and they have been excellent at that as well.
This company is absolutely awesome. Thank you Doug, Jose and Little Jose — we appreciate the job you do – and we cannot believe you brought our pool back from the dead!
