Established in 1987.

Owner and Founder, Jay Ackerman was a pioneer for the garage cabinet business in the late 80s. After being a loyal local handyman in the Sarasota area, Jay recognized there was a market for garage cabinets and built Custom Garage Systems from the ground up. Jay took his values of honesty, good workmanship, and prompt service into his business and has been successful ever since.

Born in Sarasota in 1988, Jake Ackerman was raised around his father’s business and helped out at the shop at a very young age. As Jake matured, he learned the business very well from his Father and has earned his position at Custom Garage. He has built a reputation of being patient, honest, efficient and meticulous. He is very able and willing to be the future owner of Custom Garage.
