Should give it a 1 star, but i am feeling generous today. Been going to gyms all over the states for close to 45 yrs now and i have never seen so many people leave their equipment lay all over the place after using it. People think that their mother must work and clean up after them. Never seen a bigger group of lazy trainers, lazy cleaning crew and LAZY mgt. It would be a 1 star if the equipment was not newer. Look elsewhere…

I’ve been a member for a couple years now, and I go to both the Bee Ridge location and this one. It’s usually very crowded after work(5−7pm ish), and you may have to wait in line for a machine. I would go before work if I was a morning person, but… It has everything you need as far as machines, but it’s not the kind of gym that has basketball or racquetball courts, a pool or a sauna. Can’t really complain though — $ 20/month, and I can bring a guest for free whenever I want. The Smoothie King next door gives a 10% discount to Crunch members on Tuesdays though! That’s a plus.

I joined the Crunch fitness club chain just last year. I went with the Peak Plus plan when I signed up. The Peak Plus plan allows you to bring a friend for free. With this plan, you can also attend the classes offered. The gym tends to get crowded so you may see people waiting around for equipment. Due to my health problems, I am unable to do much. Therefore, I stick to my every day cardio and light weights most of the time so I do not have much of a problem waiting to use certain machines or equipment. Crunch Fitness offers over sixty,(60), classes a week, so what more can you ask for? On a side note, it is not easy finding a parking spot in the plaza if you come during the duration of fitness classes, or in the evening in general as members are getting their workout in before the day ends. I have been a part of this fitness club for over a year and I find Crunch to be a great gym as it gets the work done.

the gym is over populated! There is always a line for equipment. I get frustrated with having to stand around when all I want to do is work out. You have to plan to go at crazy hours just to get to a squat rack! I have never had this happen to me! Equipment is okay once you can actually use it. I guess thats why it is a discount gym.

I love the equipment, large variety. Casual, comfortable atmosphere. Lots of room to move around. Just avoid the 5:00pm rush.

Customer service was horrible, I was literally pinned into a corner after I used my guest pass. I had no intention the day I went to get a membership because I had other financial obligations. I only went there because my car was being fixed at Tires Plus and I needed to kill time. I will never come back to this facility and for being almost the same age as LA Fitness in terms of opening at the same time, the upkeep here is horrible!

Once a member, always a member. I belonged to this Crunch gym for two years, my membership from Gold’s Gym having morphed into Crunch when Gold’s folded. The gym is excellent, the staff pleasant, the membership price quite reasonable. It’s when you try to cancel your membership that you discover the dark side of Crunch: it’s very robust collection agency, which ignores all evidence you did indeed cancel your membership and continues to deduct the monthly fee from your bank account. I resorted at last to the expedient of cancelling my debit card, which then engendered phone calls and dunning notices demanding payment of bogus accruing monthly charges.(Why, yes, they don’t take personal checks, Paypal or bank checks. Plastic only, please.) The Internet is replete with complaints of Crunch’s specious billing and collection practices. My credit rating can take the hit, but others’ may not. I’ve since moved 1400 miles to the Great North Woods, but keep a wary eye on the usually deserted farm road, on the lookout for the remorseless Crunch Collectors, Jean Valjean to their Inspector Javert.

Lame gym… came in to use a 1 day guest pass from the crunch website — www. , I was told that they are a franchise and corporate rules/gift cards and policies don’t apply. But because they can«hook me up“I can pay $ 15 a day while I’m in town. If I had they expectation of a daily rate I would gladly pay triple that instead of a bait and switch trick. While the gym was spacious and had useable machines the whole pass thing left me with such a funky feeling that I left. If the gym was one tenth as as good as a actual crunch from NY or Mia I would gladly pay for guest pass. I won’t be back and neither should you.

Clean gym! Friendly staff. Rows and rows of cardio machines. Rows and rows of weight machines. Smaller section of free weights but it was very clean and organized. Nice large section for cross fit workouts. Very close to all the Sarasota airport hotels if you are traveling for business.

I’ve been a member of so many gyms in Sarasota and Bradenton. I joined Crunch Fitness before the actually opened. It’s been a great experience. The staff is knowledgable the place is clean! I’m working with a trainer now Coley, he is inspirational and very concerned about form, I haven’t worked out in a couple years and he doesn’t want me to injure myself! We are almost 6 weeks in. I feel and look amazing! I actually look forward to working out now! Thanks Coley, and thanks Crunch Fitness!

When I moved to Sarasota a year ago, I tried out every single gym and studio within a 10 mile radius. A lot were dissapointing. When Crunch opened up, I was excited to check it out. The gym itself is great. All of the equipment is brand new and innovative. They have everything you need for a great and complete work out. I am also a fan of their group fitness classes ranging from TRX to Zumba to Cardio Tai Boxing. Classes are included in your $ 10/month fee. Even though I do not utilize them, they also offer child day care and tanning. The staff is also very friendly. No hidden fees in their contract. You pay a yearly fee of about $ 30 and then $ 10/month. For what you get, it is totally worth it.

I came from Youfit to join Crunch since they offered classes and child care. And now I can’t imagine my gym experience without these bonuses. Wish there was more afternoon classes so I could attend those more with my schedule, but I wont complain. Everyone is so nice and helpful.

It’s new, it’s clean, great equipment, helpful staff, mixed age groups… not much more to say. That’s pretty much all I need in a gym. (I should, however, mention a few things: there are initiation fees and annual fees, $ 10/mo for basic membership and two month cancellation notice required, they offer classes including TRX, yoga, seniors, etc.), childcare offered in am and late pm for $ 10/day or for premium membership.) *** Only grandfathered memberships and premium memberships include all the classes. Basic is just gym access now.)

Nice gym at reasonable $ 10/month price, lots of cardio machines with plenty of HDTVs to keep you entertained. Adequate free weights.
