History

Established in 1977.

Bob Miller Masonry, Inc. (BMMI) began operations in 1977 right after founders Bob and Betty Miller moved from Ohio to Florida. Although BMMI began as a ‘mom & pop’ business, with Betty doing the clerical «inside» work and Bob running the overall business and managing field operations; within a few years, BMMI grew from a three-​man crew run out of the Miller family home to thriving successful business that has spanned for almost four decades.

Always forward-​thinking, the Millers consistently invested in both, developing a fully skilled workforce and expanding their services, products, technology and expertise to meet the changing and increasingly demanding requirements of the 21^st construction industry. Because of their impressive reputation BMMI is considered today one of the leading building corporations in the Sarasota-​Manatee area.

Business Owner

From the early stages of BMMI Ken and Rod Miller learned the masonry and structural concrete business inside and out, and from the ground up. There isn’t an aspect of the business — from the most menial job site chore to the most complex construction analysis– that they haven’t had their hands in. From their early years they gained hands-​on training, experience and understanding of what it takes to get a job done — from beginning to end –and get it done right and on-​time!

In January 2000, Bob and Betty officially retired, selling the business to their two sons.

Ken and Rod successfully continue to run the business as it has always been run — providing excellent service one customer at a time. BMMI is a true uccess story within the building community.
