Badger Bob plumbers charged me 250 to install one toilet, and then refused to remove the old one from my home, argued with my wife about the removal and drove off screaming «Not our problem.»

Badger Bob’s came out to fix my washing machine. It was an $ 89 fee for a service call. After cleaning out the washing machine I was informed my drain pump was shot and I would need a new one. The tech said he would see if he had a pump that fit but it was definitely going to cost more than what I had originally anticipated (cost went from $ 160. -$ 240) when he didn’t have a pump that would fit he said he would have to order one and the cost now had escalated to $ 350– $ 400 a) because he had to order a new part. I told him no I could just buy a new washing machine from Tony’s used appliances for $ 200. He got on the phone with my husband did a sales pitch and we agreed to buy a new appliance from them and they would waive the $ 89 service call however when I asked again about that $ 89,it was now being put towards an installation fee. We cancelled our purchase after calling around & discovering that we could buy the same exact washer they were going to sell us for cheaper at Home Depot. I was able to purchase a used washing machine from Tony’s used appliances on Clark Road with a $ 60 installation fee I highly recommend them over Badger Bobs.

Contacted Badger Bobs from a neighbors referral and boy I wish I had not. The 3 year old AC unit, which was still under warranty stopped blowing air. Badger Bob’s was quick to come out and diagnosed the issue. But because it was under warranty they needed to order the part. They definitely were nice by putting in a patch to get the house cooling down until the part arrived but at a huge cost. I was not only charged for the first service call ($ 55.00) but a flat fee of $ 250.00 to order, process the paper work and install the part that was under warranty. The work took less than an hour. I so appreciated them putting in a part to bridge the gap between the time they ordered the part and finished the install but a FLAT FEE of $ 250.00 seems a bit much. Why even have a warrenty? I cannot imagine the cost if I did not have a warranty. I would be cautious and get all pricing prior to them performing any work.
