I really can not write much about this person because he will not communicate with me. I am a party in a foreclosure action in which Mr Mahar was appointed by the Essex County Supreme Court to act as a Referee. When I tried to find out the status of the case, Mr Mahar refused to discuss it with me even though I am representing myself. I then checked with the County Clerk and found out that this office has nothing on file even though Mr Mahar has had the appointment for more than six months. In my opinion this person either does not have the experience to be a Referee and should not be consulted with for any legal work. Furthermore, in my brief encounter with him I found him to be rude and arrogant.
