omg best dates EVER!!! got these lil jewles @ the leucadia farmers market, had to go back and get more but they where not there the following week, :(where have you gone we need more of these in our life pleeaaassee contact me

These dates we bought from this stand at the farmers market at the little Italy were really yummy! So my mum decided to go back and get some more as a gift for friends and relatives. The helper lady in the front was friendly and nice. BUT the lady in charge was super NOT friendly and was not willing to negotiate the price nor getting the stock from the box when we basically bought half of the dates they had on the stand. She said herself that it’s rare for them to sell three many dates in one go.
I understand that the price can be fixed but I really do not appreciate the attitude that she was having, a very rude one!

Found a stand for this vendor at the Poway Farmers Market the other week and bought a bag of the Medjool Dates. They are without doubt the best tasting and most satisfying dates that I have ever eaten. I just had to go back today and buy some more. I had a bunch of questions and the woman at the stand was very helpful and knowledgeable. I will certainly be going back again.

The Medjool dates offered are by far the best quality one can find. They are larger and more meaty than any other dates sold at stores. Worth seeking out.
These dates can be found at many of the farmer’s markets in late fall through spring.
There is a stand at the Poway Farmer’s Market held on Saturday mornings.

When we were strolling the Little Italy Mercato recently, we were offered samples of dates by this nice guy. He was obviously excited about dates. He was telling us how he uses them to sweeten things instead of sugar. I guess I would too if I had a date farm! (He ended up being the owner.)
We were surprised how good and naturally sweet his dates were. We had to buy a bag. I found myself eating them too when I was craving something sweet! And I really have never been the biggest fan of dates, but I am now. I even grew up with dates around the house, since my dad loves them. I definitely have to come back and buy him a few bags.
You can find the date guy at the Little Italy Mercato (Saturdays 9am-1:30pm) and the North Park Farmer’s Market (Thursdays 3pm-​7pm).
