Go Car Wash

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I paid $ 50 for them to hand wash my brand new car that was only 2 weeks old no scratches on it or anything. After the wash my car has 2 scratches on it, the windows are streaked, rims are dirty, water spots all over the car. I call to complain to a «manager» he tells me it’s not possible but will have to review some tape and will call me back the next day. I get no call and every time I call I get no answer. finally after 4 days I get an answer and ask to speak to a manager and this same guy comes on the phone. I explain the situation and he tell me they can give me a free wash. I said I would just like my money back and I don’t want them touching my car again. He starts raising his voice telling me he can’t do that and doesn’t have time to talk to me. I asked why I never received a call back and then he starts yelling at me about how he has been doing this for years and never messed up a car blah blah. According to Unilocal reviews they have messed up quite a few cars and there are pictures to prove it. This place is horrible and the employees are worse

I know this place has gotten a lot of bad reviews but stopped in anyway to check it out. It did take about 45 minutes to get a basic car wash when there were only 2 cars in front of me, but they did do a decent job on my vehicle. There were 2 guys that seemed to be trying to do a good job. However, it’s only 3 stars because the entire time I was there the manager was constantly yelling at two of the other guys to get back to work who were clearly goofing off and doing subpar work. The customer in front of me was also complaining about the poor job they did on his vehicle.

Same price as Aqua Clean Car Wash in La Mesa, CA, but they refused to put my Toyota Tacoma truck in the mechanical washer, they use brushes (not mitts). One 1 or 2 people trying cars, not fast at all, not through, no wax, no undercoat spray, they charge for using a credit and debit card (fees). Do not go at all, RIP OFF!!!

Nice, friendly, environment. The place is evolving and the crew is great. When ever I am in need of a car wash and I don’t want to do it myself, this is the place where I know it will get done right.

Very disappointed in the car wash I received here. Paid for the wash that included polishing wheels, shampooing car mats, vacuuming, and interior polish. Once everything was completed they told me they wouldn’t be able to clean any more of the interior unless I got a shampoo package. It seemed as if no effort was put into cleaning the inside. Granted, I do have a large dog who frequents the beach often, but I was able to take my car back home and spend an extra 20 minutes and get everything as clean as I originally paid for it to be. Will not be coming back here. Employees could be a bit friendlier as well.

Have been using Go Car Wash for a few years now I have never had a bad experience here. They always do a great job inside and out and are very nice folks. Ben and Jessica are two of the nicest Owners I have ever met and a car wash and really care. hate reading the negatives, especially since some are so far off the wall unbelievable sounds like must be a disgruntled ex employee and friends «hijacking» the reviews with intent to harm. Do not believe these people folks. Again 3 years never a problem and have had 3 different cars service over and over great place

Worst car wash I’ve ever been to. The employees are so lazy. I paid for a mid grade car wash that included tire and wheel detailing. They cleaned 3 of my wheels, left one completely dirty. Vacuumed half of my car. Didn’t clean anything in the center console. Left dust on the dash. Bugs still on the windshield. I can’t believe I paid 20 bucks for that.

This place sucks a$$, their is a guy pushing windshield replacement services, plus he’s driving customers cars and doesn’t work here. They are slow it took 16 min to just vacuum my car, yes I timed them. The guys drying my car both are on the their cell phones taking forever. Plus they charge you to use your card debit/​credit. Go someplace else don’t go here.

I wish I had read reviews before taking my car here. People complain it’s slow and it is, very, very slow. We pulled out car right up to the vacuums and there was 1 car next to us at the others. Slow is not always a negative thing, especially if the result is really great. But here, it’s slow and the result is not good. We got the Gold package for $ 17. While waiting for our car we noticed the total was $ 19.35. Doing a little math we thought they really screwed up on the tax, went in to ask how our total jumped $ 2.35. While waiting I heard the attendant tell the customer in front of me how the air freshener is self serve. She was working with some other guy who is on his cell phone and yelling «son of a bitch» and laughing at the person in the phone. I asked my question and she explained the $ 2 was because we have a minivan and .35 cents was a fee they charge you to use your credit/​debit card. Hmm, well other car washes like Body Beautiful don’t charge a fee for a minivan or consider that to be a «large» vehicle. It’s also illegal in CA to charge someone to use their credit card. Hidden fees!
Now let’s get back to the speed. These guys seriously stand around talking to each other and walking back and forth from the vacuums to the finishing area and disappearing in between. I finally went to see where the hell our car was and saw it come down the line. First, they use those cheap rubber things and not cloth so you can hear it slap against your car at a fast speed. I never saw any soap dispensed on the car, unless it was clear and doesn’t suds up there was zero soap. Then all of a sudden these guys move somewhat fast and do a super crappy job drying and cleaning the tires. Dirt still on the wheels when it was part of the «gold» package to have those things cleaned. They half ass wiped the dash leaving large areas of dust still there. Total joke. But after already being at a non-​busy place for over 30 MINUTES, who wants to complain and prolong the pain??? We had to be somewhere and get moving. Will.Never.Go.Again.
Like someone else said, you’d be better off doing it yourself at the Santee Self-​Serve wash on the other side of Mary’s.
I’m not sure how this place is still in business.

I have no idea why people rate this place so low. Yes, it takes longer to get you car washed here than a lot of places, but the price is good and they do a very good job.
I’ve brought my cars here since they opened, especially when I want them detailed, carpets shampooed, or leather reconditioned. It comes out looking better than new.
It comes down to the old rule: you can have it good, fast, or cheap-​pick two. I’ll wait for quality work.

If your looking to get your car washed then keep looking! This places quality of work has gone WAY WAY down. Used to bring my cars here all of the time but the last few times have been a waste of money. I paid $ 33 including tip for the «WORKS» but my car looked worse then before. The inside is a streaky mess, not sure what they use but it is just slapped on all my wood, silver knobs and stereo system with no care to detail. The wheels were not fully cleaned and they applied the «plastic dressing» to the exterior worse then they did the interior. It is streaky, not even, not to the edges and not at all applied to the passenger side of the car. The exterior back window and the driver side were not cleaned are covered in spots. The chrome on the front bumper was not wiped and is spotted. When I tried to call the phone rings and then disconnects. The only good thing I can say about the whole job is that they vacuumed the carpet well.

Under staffed so long wait. Car still dirty on the way out. Not organized at all; stresses one out watching the workers unorganized way of running this place.

This was my first time here. As I was walking away from my car the guy who does the vacuuming stoped me and handed me the $ 60 bucks that fell out of my pocket. Can I just say wow! What great integrity! I am so tired from moving and didnt even realize. I also told the manager on duty what a great employee he has. My car was also vacuumed great and smells great and looks great! I will be back.

Just took my car there. Had I looked at the Unilocal reviews beforehand I would’ve not come. This place lives up to its reputation. I watched them like a hawk still just a basic car wash. I could see their lack of work ethic. Never coming back. Vacuum was half assed. As were the windows. Helpful note you can tell a lot about a car wash by your cars back window and how well/​if it was done

I seen the bad reviews here but still thought I’d give it a chance but that was a mistake. Sure they cleaned my car but they really cleaned it out as they stoled all my quarters I had in my closed compartment in my car. Only goes to show you the dishonest employees they have that are out to steal anything in your car as they wash it without you noticing. Avoid this place at all costs unless you don’t mind people stealing your property.

This is the first time I’ve been here. These guys did a fantastic job on my red Mustang GT Convertible! They conditioned the leather, the convertible top, tires even the plastic trim. Did a great wax job too. The car gleams like it did when brand new. This is now my car wash, I won’t be going anywhere else. They were polite, cheery and very pleasant. The price was good too

I thought it was a reasonable car wash for $ 5 now it’s $ 10 for basic wash which is still good.
The only reason I’m writing a comment is to alert customers of caution… I noticed they opened up my trunk to wipe off excess water, however they was 3 men hovering over my trunk to look inside of it… WHY? NEVER ok!

I have taken my cars here before and paid for the basic wash and got what I paid for (a somewhat clean car) which is fine by me. Today I took my wife’s car to be cleaned. I thought it would be nice if I paid for her car to be cleaned inside and out. I chose their platinum $ 20 car wash. Wash, tires clean and Armor all, vacuum and leather cleaned and along other minor cleaning. My roof looks like it was never washed and my tires are still dirty. After reading other reviews about damage to cars I will not be going back.

My car was totaled at this car wash by a negligent employee. I am now out a couple of thousand dollars from having to replace my vehicle. I asked the owner to pay the difference between what I was given from insurance and the cost to replace my car, but he refused. I am not impressed with his handling of the situation.
I would not recommend this car wash to anyone.
