Five Star Express Car Wash

As I was going through the car wash the stem of my tire was ripped off and I was stranded with a flat tire. They said they would pay for the stem $ 14 but not my tire or sensor and to take him to small claims court or call their corporate office. Problem is they have no corporate office. Cost me a new tire, stem and sensor at $ 350. I did some research and found out that this happens a lot at these types of car washes where the client drives through and it has a track with rollers that pushes the car through. I will never go through one of those again and I hope telling you will keep it from happening to you. Just google flat tire car wash to see how much this happens to people.

Better than the gas station car wash and with the $ 10 you pay, they give you wipes to clean the inside of your car. I really like the self service vacuum. I would just recommend more drying time. But my new spot for something quick and inexpensive.

The people working there were helpful and friendly and my truck came out very clean. The only problem (for me) is that I have a very big truck and they don’t really have the room to easily maneuver a crew cab with a long bed. I would still come back, just when it isn’t busy so I don’t have to worry about other cars.

Found this place by goggling car wash in Santee and so glad I did! Drive through Self Serve car wash-​different prices for various levels of wash. Most expensive was $ 10 and I think basic may have been $ 5 with prices in-​between-​I opted for $ 10. The girl in cashier booth super sweet and asked if I wanted my antenna taken off and did it for me. Also was provided two free towelettes to wipe down interior and they worked just fine. Love the strong vacuum-​best one I’ve come across self serve or those $ 20 washes. Very clean place. Didn’t plan on getting car washed or I would have brought my own towel to dry it. Some other reviews said people were there helping you dry your vehicle but I didn’t notice anyone. If there still is the $ 20 monthly unlimited washes (see other review) I’m going back for that! I agree with one reviewer that my rims weren’t perfectly clean but I can bring another towels and rim cleaner the next time. I went on Monday afternoon and the place was pretty slow so got right in. Also nice strong dryers before the sign goes from «Relax» to «Go» at the end of the dry. This place beats out other self serve washes that I’ve used and cleanliness far superior. Check it out! PS They used blue painters tape to hold my rear wiper in place-​guess previous problems with that but mine stayed in place

Great price for a quick cleanup, I personally like the self serve vacuum because I only have certain spots that need to be vacuumed aka where the dog sits, so it’s convenient for me for the vacuums to be self serve.

Quick simple wash. I thought it was pretty neat they offered a military discount. Overall I would have given them a 4 star, but the customer service could have been a lot better.

Hey! $ 5.00 gets you a good car wash and access to high powered functioning vacuums. There’s a sink so you can use water to wet down your own chamois or whatever. They even give you a wipe thingee to clean off your dash.
The place is clean. For the price it is a great deal!

«Five Star» is not an accurate name for this car wash. I’m being really generous in giving them 2 stars. They did vacuum and run my car through the car wash, but I am pretty sure they didn’t even attempt to clean the interior. still dirt and spots all over my drivers side door after they supposedly cleaned? weak!

Pretty cool place, first experience on not having to drive thru a car wash. I like how the vacuums r free. Vending machine that has all the different types of wipes and towels for inside ur car.

Friendly, fast, easy, and my car is now sparkling clean after a road trip! Definitely recommend!

This is a step up from your gas station car wash, but a step down from a hand wash you could do from home or places that offer self serve hand wash.
Mind you, this place IS NOT a place to take a detail, but a great place for a quick wash.
Reasons I would come back:
1. 13 minutes. 13 MINUTES of my time. I was able to get my car washed & vacuumed right before heading to work. They are open from 7am-​8pm!
2. Easy in and Easy out!
3. Takes credit card!
4. Super friendly and helpful workers. If it’s bad enough that I can’t read a flashing sign, the gentleman manning the automated car wash showed me what’s up.
5. Complaints of rear windshield wipers ripping off on previous reviews. They used painter’s tape to secure my rear windshield wipers so I had no issues with that.
Things to keep in mind:
1. It’s an automated car wash. If you come with bugs and bird poop glued on, best believe there will be some residue left over. Like I mentioned, it’s a good quick rinse off if not better than just a rinse. Mazzi (yes, my car has a name and he’s a boy) is much happier sans dirt, but I promised him if he’s a good boy he’ll get a full detail on his next oil change.
2. If you can, bring a drying towel and/​or windex to dry/​clean off windows and wet spots.
3. Vacuuming area has a 5 minute limit. I don’t think they monitor the time limit too heavily unless you’re there too long or it’s super busy.
Overall a great quick wash and I will be back!

This is a great stop. Always friendly staff and a very good no nonsense value. I will continue to use this place. Nice setup as well.

I have been to this car wash a few times and it does an OK job. Nothing special. I will never go back because a friend of my wife went there and and when her car was going through there was a lot of banging against her car. When they got out the car had dents all the way down the side and a broken tail light. They found a bungee cord in one of the cleaners that spin around. The girl that was working there told her that they are not responsible for damages. Unless she takes them to court she is getting nothing from them. Her insurance company salvaged her car because the damage was to extensive. Hearing this I will not take a chance at taking my car there and this happening to me.

I love this place. It’s quick, it’s well priced and it gets the job done. It’s the place to go to go get a quick wash and be able to see out of your windows. It is not for a detailed wash, but I’m ok with that because I don’t have time for it being detailed. It’s also great for kids… it just like all the car washes you see on TV. My kids love giving our car a bubble bath.
I also like the multiply vacuums. Unlike other places that just have 1 or 2 this place has a whole row so you can vacuum either before or after your wash. There no additional fee or timed-​use.
I’ll be going there from now on.

Okay for quick cleanup, but if you’re looking for something of detail this is not your place.
The rims are still dirty, there is soap actually still left on my door. And I really do not like the vacuums. There’s no adjustability on them so they’re super strong and then that makes them hard to use because it grab one everything.
I will say that the attendance are always super nice, and super helpful. The guy at the entrance saved my bacon today as my trunk was not all the way shut!

This is one of best and cheapest car wash I’ve found, living very close to this car wash I’m regular customer almost daily we wash our business cars, enrolled in monthly auto recharge for only $ 20 monthly one wash daily, what better deal you can get?
Also 5 min free Vacum !
Regarding the guys using their towels, I agree with other people, use your own towels, this is the only thing to be in mind, every thing else is perfect.

Worst carwash I’ve ever been too!!! I noticed this place being built a few months ago, so I decided to give it a try on my way home from work… bad idea! It literally ripped off my rear windshield wiper, the entire arm! It really doesn’t matter how good of a wash they give (which honestly wasn’t even good since it didn’t take any of the 3 bird poops off) if it rips the equipment off your car.
I have a 2010 SUV and have been to at least 30 different drive-​thru car washes (most multiple times) in different states, most recently a week ago, and never once have had a problem. I drove straight home after going through the car wash and when I went to get my things out of the trunk realized the wiper/​arm had been ripped off. I immediately called and asked to speak to the manager, Amanda I believe was her name, and all she could say is we’ll look for it and give you a call. For 1) I had to tell her she needed my name and number if she was actually going to call, 2) she never apologized and just stated there was a sign stating they weren’t responsible for any damages (which I never saw, but regardless), and 3) she never even bothered calling back. So a mediocre carwash with bad customer service will now cost me $ 60+.

When you enter the place, you have to pass the vacuums on your right and drive towards the back. They have a little cashier booth and you tell them what you want. I just needed a quick clean so I went with their «Basic» wash. It was only $ 5.00. They open up the little gate thing and then a guy comes out to direct you where to steer your car tires to (This car wash is an automated track where you pull your drivers side tires into a track and then it pulls your car along). Once you are in the track, the guy holds up a sign and tells you to put your car into neutral and to not steer or brake. That’s about it. Your car goes through and gets cleaned pretty well. At the end of the track, you hit the high powered dryers. When you are done with that there is a sign n front of you that says «Relax» or «Go». When it tells you to go, you best go, son! Take your freshly cleaned car out of neutral and put that sucka into drive. Afterwards, you have the option to vacuum your car and have someone wipe down the excess water drops. I was in a hurry and just needed a quick wash so I boned out afterwards and did not utilize that. I’m sure I will in the future though. All of that for $ 5.00 is a great deal. The only downer is that it didn’t get my ride totally clean. I had a smeared bird shit remnant left over. Nothing too big but fresh out of a wash, your car should be pretty much spotless. I will definitely come back though. Its so inexpensive and you get free vacuuming if you need it. Compared to other places that are usually a minimum $ 9.99 plus tip for the guys, this place is a great deal! It’s pretty fun sitting in your car the whole time too. I had my son with me in the back seat so I didn’t have to worry about him etc. Hell… if you are hungry, they are going to have a new Santanas taco shop that is opening soon too right next door. Score!

This car wash was a really good deal! I just wanted a fast and simple car wash that still was quality and I found it!
Upon arrival I saw some staff who were very helpful and pointed me exactly where to go. They staff here were very friendly! I asked them a ton of questions about each service and they answered happily. They even took off my antenna piece for me because I forgot.
You can choose a $ 5, $ 7 or $ 10 wash and yes they take credit cards– even discover!
First you go through the drive-​through machine wash and at the end you drive around to the vacuum area.
Don’t leave yet!
Some staff members come out and dry your car for you. Then you can use the free Very high powered vacuum to clean out your car in a nice shady overhang.
Overall it was a very nice experience, fast and cleaned my car well compared to other drive-​through machines. They even gave me a little wipe to use on the interior of my car.
I will be back again!
