Expressions Dance and Movement Center

This is a fantastic studio. I have been dancing my whole life. I wish there was a studio that offered these opportunities when I was young. Darcy is incredible, and she focuses on making every student feel important and special. The classes are affordable and recitals are very organized. I definitely recommend this studio.

My daughter is 3 and she just completed her first season of dance classes here. The teachers are very caring, my daughter loves them! She has also learned a lot and was so excited to perform at the Recital, which ran very smoothly and was very well organized! I would highly recommend this studio.

This studio is fantastic! The staff is professional and down to earth. The focus is always on the dancers, no matter how old or young. What impresses me most about this studio is that every dancer is taught to express themselves freely through their bodies, no matter what shape their body may be. It is rare to find any place, let alone a dance studio, that consistently builds confidence in young girls. Placing the emphasis on the passion that they possess, more than the perfect technique and cookie cutter mold of what a dancer should be. Every lyric to every song that is played in class and performances is clean, uplifting, and age appropriate in content. Every costume that is worn is as modest as possible and is age appropriate. The owner and teachers make sure that a 5 year old, is still expected to look and dance like a 5 year old! With so much negativity placed on young woman, and a social importance placed on looks, beauty, and sex appeal, it is so refreshing to find a dance studio who’s main goals are to uplift and inspire children to be the best individuals that they can be! And if that means that I have to sit through a 2 hour performance twice a year to support my nieces dreams, then I can’t really complain!

I knew a few people involved at this studio (dance parents and employees), so I figured it was a good studio. I went to one of their recitals the other day for the first time, and I was blown away! The variety of dance styles, the enthusiasm of the kids. You can tell the dance teachers there foster creativity, self-​worth, confidence, and FUN. I had been to many other dance recitals in the past, and I usually got bored at them. Watching EDMC’s show kept me fully engaged the whole time. Awesome music, great dancing, happy kids.

My 6 year old grand daughter has been dancing here for 2 years. The classes are ok, but the studio is small & you can’t sit inside and watch. The biggest complaint I have is regarding the 2 performances they do. The costumes are expensive & the performances are horrible! The show has dances performed by adults and the majority by older kids who are on traveling dance teams. It’s sooo long, boring, disorganized and very unprofessional. The poor kids are there 1 hour before the 3 hour performance & don’t get lunch or dinner until it’s over & they leave. My other 5 year old grand daughter dances in north county & her school rocks! Night & day difference. If you enroll your child here skip the recitals.

My daughter loves dancing at this studio! Her dance technique has really improved since attending Expressions Dance and Movement Center.
The studio is run in a professional manner and is extremely organized. Staff are welcoming and teachers are well versed and teach students in a positive & friendly manner. My daughter takes four different classes with four different teachers all of which she enjoys. Growing up in the dance world I personally feel this makes for a well rounded dancer.

We just joined Expressions Dance after we grew out of another great studio in town. I was looking for a local dance studio and ran across Expressions Dance online. I was hesitant to join this studio after being very comfortable with our old studio but I’m glad we made the switch. My daughter is five and LOVES our new «dance class.» The staff is very friendly and our particular class is large (17 students) but the studio is great and has two assistants in the class along with the main instructor so all the students get the attention they need. This is not a competition studio (which we love) but it is a great studio with a friendly staff and owner (who responds promptly to emails). This is a great dance studio for your little one. We’re glad we’re now a part of EDMC.

EDMC is a wonderful recreational dance center. If you live in the area and are not looking for the glitzy competition scene, this is the place to go. It offers many different styles of dance and well trained teachers. The location is great too for moms looking to run some errands or relax at the coffee shop next door.

This dance studio offers classes for children and adults! Some of the classes that they offer are tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, tumbling and dance fitness. The instructors are amazing and their choreography is simply beautiful to watch.
My niece takes dance classes at the studio and I been able to watch her grow as a dancer. If you’re looking for a studio to try out you should definitely try this one!
